Bulle de Rose

Creamy, rich, powdery soapiness and icy cold freshness in the bottle Let me introduce to you one of the most unique soapy and clean scents. However, some people think that the soapiness is not the main feature at all but personally to my nose, it is. There is just so much more going on in this scent. Look at these notes: Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Elemi resin Soap, Turkish Rose absolute, Tomato leaf Heliotrope, Ambroxan, Patchouli, Cypriot, Sandalwood In the opening Bulle de Rose is bold and shameless. You either love it or hate it but it’s so strange and peculiar that I wanted to smell it more and more. My initial reaction was “no” but time after time I ended up to appreciate it more and more. The scent is straight away fresh but in the same time richly creamy, the texture feels like a luxurious soap. Elemi’s fresh and piney aroma combined with the green and minty nuances from Blackcurrant (not fruity here) makes it feel almost like some pastille. As the scent develops, you can sense a refined rose, which remains all the time in the background though. In the same time that brash opening calms down and the gentle powdery veil descends thanks to Heliotrope and the scent pampers the senses while creamy Sandalwood makes the scent softer all the time. The concoction is very special, a satisfying lingering scent. I’m not so big fan of Ambroxan but in this scent it’s crucial, making this powerful and creating a very interesting and seductive trail that cannot be missed. Personally I love this scent in crispy cold weather. I think it’s because of that cold fresh character which it has in the opening and that extremely rich, thick creaminess is just perfect in wintertime. I can’t wait to wear this during the spring since I think it would be perfect. This is not a typical fresh scent, not a typical soapy one nor anything else which I have smelled before. So delicate, demure, feminine, clean. Beautiful soap. Just a simple soap, the Dove kind. Softly creamy. But it smells so angelic, so soft and nostalgic. Lovely.

A fresh and soapy fragrance, perfect for rose lovers. More for spring and summer, it is a delicate and romantic fragrance.

Again, the elemi ruins this for me. There is that citronella bug spray smell in the beginning that I can't get past. If the elemi was gone it would be a nice soapy and fresh spicy rose. Unisex for me. It almost has a barbershop vibe going on here. Like a rose scented shaving cream. My husband likes this one and I will give him the sample to wear for himself. I won't mind it on him, but it isn't a perfume for me. It has an almost rose scented laundry Ivory soap powder vibe. Like if they scented Ivory laundry powder w/ rose oil. The cypriol oil is coming through for me now and it reminds me of the cypriol oil smell in 5th Ave Royale. If the beginning of the perfume didn't have elemi I would like it better. If you want a rose scented ivory soap w/ a hint of spice, and you don't mind elemi and smell it the way I do (most people get a lemony smell) you will love Bulle de Rose. Also, the dry down of this perfume is much better than the beginning and the mid for me but that still isn't enough for me to like it for myself. I have perfumes w/ similar dry downs and I like the beginning and the middle of them as well.

Nice green opening on this fragrance. There is a quite sweet rose too. But oh no - the dry down, there is something like powdery mimosa in it! Is that what they meant with the soap accord? I thank myself for not blind buying a bottle. Here is again a perfect example of the notes sounding perfect in the description and but the actual scent being different to what I expected. My favorite of the aldehydic/clean roses from Rosine is still Rose Nue.

I find nothing soapy, rose laden or bubbly in this very strange, almost medicinal smelling fragrance. Perhaps it’s the cypriol oil along with the pungent tomato leaf that give it a very unpleasant odor that would effectively repel insects! A comparison to the old fashioned, pink and powdery Camay soap, NOT!

I think this is a beautiful fragrance. The dry down is a soft, delicate, powdery rose. It's perfect for Spring and early Summer. The opening was a little strange, but the dry down is well worth waiting for!
