LE SNOB No III Red Rose

I adore this scent! The opening is slightly vegetal, but this quality fades into the composition quickly, leaving a slightly candied and fruity rose with earthy tones that add depth and interest. The rose is very similar to what is offered by Diptyque's Eau Rose EDT (I did smell the EDP a long time ago and have forgotten the scent profile, though I think the EDP could be even closer to Le Snob III due to the artichoke). A very wearable niche offering that will have you standing out from the crowd, though I doubt anyone would be offended by this scent unless they despised rose. Also, this smells nothing like Kyoto, which was very earthy and astringent on my skin with little sweetness.

Rich, juicy, opulent and oily rose accompanied by raspberry+iris combo which I sometimes perceive as litchi. Not much beetroot but a few drops of mandarin and vetiver in my bottle. Knock here if you are looking for a sumptuous, confident, bold yet voluptuous “red-lipstick” rose. Beautiful, luxurious. Loving it ❤️🌹

Very elegant, sumptuous, deep but bright, true-to-name red rose. Solid silage and excellent longevity.

A favorite from the discovery set (others I love include: Ballerina No 4). LE SNOB smells of delicately sweet fruity roses on a base of clean musk. I don't really smell the beet, so I guess it blends in with the overall sweet rosy fruitiness. The base (drydown) smells of green peppery leaves with traces of the sweet rosy opening. The bottle is cute but doesn't do this fragrance justice bc you'd expect a sensual and sexy perfume, but this fragrance actually smells like a daytime stroll through a rose garden in spring. Fresh, dewy, sweet roses. I'm smitten. I need a full bottle of LE SNOB. -

This is a lovely rose scent. It smells like a dewy red rose with a touch of juiciness from the raspberry and other fruit notes. The sweetness is very natural, just enough to brighten it but does not go beyond a rose's innate sweet smell. The other notes are very subdued, the rose shines the brightest. Very pleasing, very pretty, not so shy but not loud either. One of the most charming roses I've smelled.

Reminds me a bit of Rose D'arabie by Armani, but brighter. In the first secinds it has something dark and spicy, then all getting is rose/raspberry/blackberry. Has a bit of lipstick/makeup bag like. I like it when my gf wears her sample, though it isn't something I'd like to smell often. 7.5/10

This is an earthy, fresh, musky and tart rose. No beetroot apart from the mild earthiness but can be shelved under a very natural rose. Not vegetal, like many rose dom frags, more a spicy sweet oriental rose. I get lots of ambrette and raspberry, less of the other notes.

Less intense and drier and less jammy than Eau Rose. Not as sweet as the LVEB rose. And not as synthetic as Paris Hilton’s. Good for layering to kick up a notch other rose fragrances too. It does get a bit subtle after a half hour or so.

Very interesting! In the opening I detect Ambroxan and the green Mandarin, both cushioned by soft Ambrette, a touch of Iris and the rising Rose. The Raspberry only makes a swift appearance and disappears before I’m wondering if this perfume isn’t for me (not a fan of Raspberry). The entire opening phase is relatively short-lived and Le Snob III quickly turns into a beautiful rose scent– LPdR really know how to get the best out of that flower! The beetroot lingers in the background and adds a mysterious, subtle sweetness. I bet any chefs reading this laugh out loud at my “mysterious beetroot”, but scent-wise I can’t think of a better way to describe it. It’s the note that makes this perfume special. So far so beautiful, but Le Snob III has one more surprise up its sleeve for me: The skin scent that I end up with after 8+ hours reminds me of those potpourri we had in the 90s. It doesn’t smell like it to be clear, but a similarity is present and it brings back long forgotten memories of tiny rose buds & petals in pretty little bowls. Conclusion: Another amazing perfume from LPdR, one I would love to see more reviews about.

A crisp but slightly powdery, fresh, dewy, and juicy red rose. Raspberry, together with the orange and beet notes, provide that juicy, jammy sweetness which distinguishes this one from the other two. that said, it centers very much around the rose. Very nice, and my second favorite of the three. More feminine-leaning than the other two, and the stunning red bottle alone makes an impression. My guess is that any rose lover would probably enjoy this one.
