Lotus Rose

This, to me, is a blush magnolia in full bloom, with thick, moist petals, almost ready to wilt in the late spring afternoon sun. I'm sure the lotus is responsible for the 3D interpretation of moist blooms and the honeyed sunshine. If I pay attention, up close, I can pick up steeped rose petals as well, Centifolia, sweet, fluffy, and small. The opening: fizzy lemonade with a spoonful of honey. And elderflowers. It seems a little dirty as well at this point, in a vegetal way, a little too sweet, and a little out of tune. But soon the notes fall into place as the magnolia tree emerges and stays until the drydown, fading little by little.

A delightful lotus fragrance with a woodsy sweet base. It's hard to find the rose, may smell the other flowers though. In any case.. loving it!

I received a new 50ml bottle of this little jewel in a swap. What a beautifully, clean, fresh, citrusy, rose soap scent. Perfect for summer. I've since been wearing this frequently all summer. My husband even liked it. Lasts about 4 hours or so on skin, 24hrs on clothes, even in high humidity!

In my sample vial, I smell a rounded rose and lotus, but when I first spray it on, I get a light waft of bitter mandarin oranges and bergamot zest. Strangely, while I can still detect that bitter citric note close to the skin, I pick up on a light airy but powdery, sweet rose and iris floating around. Sadly, this never developed anymore on me, and I found Lotus Rose to be very disappointing. There is so much potential for it to be a beautiful, sparkly scent, instead it ends up being a linear sweet floral with bitter undertones that I cannot get over. To top that off, its projection is barely noticeable and it only lasted about 3 hours on me. While this did not hold a candle to many of the other PdR creations, its full potential might be realized on you, so Lotus Rose is still worth a try.
