Majalis Les Parfums De Rosine reminds me of Bond no. 9 Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue.. MAJALIS : sweeter, warmer, spicier, more feminine, more powdery, elegant-powerfull-sexy.. ANDY WARHOL LEXINGTON AVENUE : darker aura, fresher, less spicy, more masculine, just a little hint of powderiness, sweaty-i wanna lick u in bed-sexy.. XD BOTH ARE complex, stunning, heady, unique, love both.. ;D

I can`t get over this scent. It`s too good. I had been looking for the perfect summer perfume, and when I gave up the search I found this. I realise most marked this perfume for winter...not to me. Unbelievable this fragrance. On my wishlist.

Sophisticated cinnamon scent with dry oriental rose. It’s woodsy and spicy with a vintage vibe. Gets a bit creamier as it wears.

Majalis is to me, a well-rounded feminine fruity floral with an attitude. It makes me think of sunshine reflected off a pond in the middle of a well cultivated park - a happy fragrance that is a part citrus, part spice, part rose. Out of the vial and on first spray, I get a ton of sweet mandarin orange with some cinnamon. It feels very green and woody in a very dry manner, but also light and fresh. Shortly, pepper shows up to amp up the spice. Do you know those pomanders that some people make for Christmas, where they stick cloves into oranges? This is very reminiscent of that! Rose takes a while to join in, and when it does, it is full and creamy, adding a bit of warmth to the fragrance. This stage is incredibly pretty and feminine. It's a woody, almost chypre rose with just the right amount of spice and musk to round things off. That woody, spicy rose is pretty much how the final drydown is too, but with a mild bitter taste that is counterbalanced by a fruity sweetness. It's a quiet scent at this point, but I just kept wanting to sniff my arm! I feel like this could be worn in just about any season, with minor tweaks to how much you spray on. Simply a beautiful frag without trying too hard and comes across as being sophisticated, pretty, and carefree! IMHO, this in one of those frags that could be interpreted quite differently by each individual, so I'd say it's worth a try. Projection was actually really good on me, lasting about 4-5 hours.

"Majalis" is surprsingly good, I usually expect little from house of "Les Parfums de Rosine" as few of their creations inspire any emotions in me, but "Majalis" is rather a different case. The combination of warm cinnamon and fresh spices is rather unique and I have to admit I was hooked at the start. The rose here is as in many other creations by this house - somewhat sour/green bulgarian rose, a bit old fashioned, but nice nevertheless. The whole combination smells very interesting and, yes, surprsingly good. You have the almost gourmandish quality of warm cinnamon and fresh, green rose with loads of pepper on the other. Perfectly blended together, none of the notes went over the board and also none was overpowered. Unfortunately staying power for me was merely 4 hours, which for me makes this not worthy of a full bottle.

Smells like Christmas! Like a bowl of orange spice potpourri or a hot mug of mulled wine (I detect a little booze here). Initially, the cinnamon and nutmeg come on too strong. But they mellow out on the drydown enough to reveal warm, woody accords and to let the rose get a word in edgewise. Overall, Majalis is cozy, festive and winter-holiday appropriate.

RIP to a real one - immensely charming rose, cinnamon and orange. Sensual in the cozy way, not the sultry way. Good sillage, too. I would probably get sick of this worn every day — it's quite sweet and makes it presence known throughout its wear — she's a special occasion treat.

aaand the over the top nutmeg and coriander killed this one... I love spices but prefer them in small doses I guess. I love roses but can't smell any due to the explosion of spices.

Some background info: “Rosa Majalis” is the botanical term for (Double) Cinnamon Rose. The name cinnamon rose however does not originate from any scent of the rose, it only makes reference to the cinnamon coloured shoots of the plant. But more about this perfume now- Majalis opens with a heavy dose of sweet cinnamon. I’ve often come across fragrances with spicy cinnamon notes, this sweet type is new to me, but I like it! Half an hour in the roses emerge and the scent gets creamier. Something made me suspicious and I looked up the olfactory description on the LPdR website. Tonka Bean is included – of course! After about half a day Majalis turns into a luscious skin scent that reminds me of a lotion I used decades ago (the name escapes me). That stays on my skin for another 6hrs. To me, Majalis is nowhere near a typical oriental fragrance. If I had to I’d class it a very young, western oriental. I could continue here, but words can’t make you smell it. - Majalis is unique, and definitely worth trying! MMmmm...Just wow! That was my first thought right away when my sample arrived today. This is a deep, rich,spicy and sultry pomander rose. I get lots of nutmeg smoothly mixed in with the rose and cinnamon...it becomes softer and powdery when the basenotes emerge...from then on she has me mesmerized like a sleek wildcat hooks it's claws onto it's prey. This my first foray into the Les Parfums de Rosine line and I am very impressed...all the notes are expertly blended, the nutmeg and rose play together like a rich smooth martini...an old school vixen expensive smelling fur coat evening out Hollywood style! Love it...enough for my special Valentines Day;) Bring on the pink bubbly! ;)

Spicy rose! Opens with a showstopping euphoric punch filled with exciting top notes. Calms during the seamless drydown, and leaves you with a really pretty powdery oriental rose. Tons of compliments, very pleasant to wear.

Wooow. So much cinnamon and spice. So intense - I LOVE this!
