Rosissimo

Love at first sniff, I bought on the spot. This is a hidden gem fot me as I loooove rose and citruses. Very natural smell and quite affordable with designer prices. One of my top summer daytime scents. It opens with a blast of citrusy notes and specifically with tones of fresh lemon, intensive grapefruit and mild bitter orange. After that comes to the surface a strong & dominant lemon vervena note with faint fir balsam and intensive rosemary. Some minutes later I get the beautiful fresh rose which feels exactly like rose water with every natural quality of it. It feels just as you sprayed yourself with a nice rose water. At this point there is a very faint/shadow leathery vibe back somewhere at the background and a very very tiny trace of natural soapness from the rose. You must focus hard to get it otherwise it's almost invisible in the air. This is NOT a soapy rose but a fresh, natural, "green" rose with citruses. Then comes the woody notes along with mild freesia. Jasmine is almost invisible, a ghost. I don't get moss. At the late drydown there are traces of labdanum and vetiver. In the air you get mainly lemon & rose. If you love fresh lemony notes and fresh rose give it a try. Performance is moderate overall but I'm still evaluating it. I'll update with info if it is neccesary the next days. Edit This scent feels like Hermes Jardin line, Happy Clinique, etc etc.. very refreshing and uplifting for high temperatures.

This is supposedly a male rose fragrance but also perfectly wearable by women. Opens with abundant citrus notes upon which you start smelling the rose and other flowers (prob freesia, a personal favourite). In the drydown you notice the woodsy notes and probably also the oakmoss. I'd recommend this to guys who want an entry level rose fragrance that is not too noticeably different. Probably not enough rose for the rose lover.

This s a good citrus scent. Very lemony with light spices. The rose note is very light in the opening and is dificult to detect but in the drydown is more noticeable and prominent. Longevity and sillage are moderate. Good scent, better for summer or spring. I like it. scent: 6/10 longevity: 6/10 sillage: 6/10

I don't know if it's that I'm dabbing on a sample rather than spraying, or if I'm simply asnomic to some core compound, but I truly wish I got the rose-citrus monster described by other commenters. Instead, it's incredibly sheer on me. What I do get is an interesting combination of soapy and musky, verbena and florals (not just rose, but jasmine) WITHOUT all the stank scrubbed out of them. Still, I have to really huff to get there! Not a friend to either my nose or my skin, unfortunately.

This strikes me as very much unisex. I bought this after seeing a recommendation in the reviews for Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose, which is lovely but lasts about as long as a sneeze. I ended up trading away my bottle of Hermes, as it felt redundant in my collection. What I appreciate about both is they manage to distinguish themselves from the typical soapy floral-citrus of your archetypal summer cologne (eg Colonia, 4711, Neroli Portofino). I'm a fan of that style, but it's a very crowded playing field with a lot of subtle variations. The focus of both these scents is citrus, roses on a vaguely woody base devoid of musk or lavender or anything else which might cause them to veer towards laundry soap or floor cleaner. I sprayed twice, chest and neck. Rosissimo opens with a big sparkling blast of grapefruit and lemon. It manages to avoid feeling as acerbic as the Hermes, it's a little sweeter and smoothed out considerably by a more prominent rose note. The rose takes center stage after the citrus softens about 30 minutes in. It's a very natural, fresh rose, but less green than Pamplemousse Rose. I have tea roses in my garden and they remind me very much of the rose note in Rosissimo. The citrus remains soft but present for a couple hours, at which point it fades to reveal a pleasant slightly sweet woody rose. At this point it projects slightly above a skin scent, but it does stick around and I get wafts of rose for 6-8 hours. The retail price feels a little on the high end for 50ml at $140, but it is certainly a well blended with good performance. I found my bottle used for $30 which is a great value - but I would probably pay retail to replace it should I run out. Scent: 9/10 Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Price: 7/10 Overall: 8/10

The first note which I noticed in Les Parfums de Rosine ROSISSIMO was not rose but petit grain! In fact, the entire composition is quite green and bursting with citrus, to the point where the floral components--rose and jasmine--are not easy to detect. One thing is clear: ROSISSIMO is definitely *not* packed with rose scent, as the name seems to suggest. ROSISSIMO is marketed to men, so perhaps the rose has been minimized for that reason. Probably the name is going to deter many people from trying this and will also disappoint true rose aficionados. Nonetheless, the composition itself is quite likeable, provide that one enjoys bracing and green and natural-smelling fragrances. The style is similar to some of the greener offerings in the Miller Harris line. Certainly this is a very nice, slightly woody, citrus-green cologne-type scent, what with the verbena and the fir tree and the herbs and the vetiver. Tree moss is listed (not oak moss), perhaps because this was launched only in 2010--post IFRA havoc... but it smells quite nice in this composition, in contrast to many of the substitution failures of evernia furfuracea for prunastri in disastrous reformulations. I have seen (at another site) that far more men than women have bottles of this composition, but it is 100% unisex.

Rosissimo opens - no, explodes - with a burst of tangy citrus; sweet-sour and a bit bitter, reminding me of dish-washing liquid. Not the best of associations but not unpleasant either. It becomes a bit more green and woody (but still intensely citric) when it's a little less wet, but it's still very difficult to smell the floral notes in this. When I do get floral, it is the jasmine that is more prominent than the rose. Perhaps this was intentionally done since this was marketed for men. There's not much development on me, but towards the end it does develop a kind of mossy wetness and an earthiness that is quite pleasing and provides some depth to it. It matches the citrus quite well, I must say. While I wish it was a bit more impressive, it's quite a nice slightly woody, citrus-y fume. Rosissimo has a sparkling brightness about it that is rather cheerful, but not excited, just a sober happiness. It says it's a cologne for men, but I found this incredibly easy to wear and very much unisex. The freshness in this fume definitely contributes, along with the fact that leather isn't exactly prominent here. This lasted around 4.5 hours on me, with mild projection.

I've just receaved it stunning it's safe pleasing fragrance everyone will enjoy it around you, i see it good for office scent. When i opend the box the smell came out first thing i got rose its monster, even without spraying you can smeel when you remove the cap. After trying it first i smelled rose like seconds then blast of lemon within seconds it starts to blend with the rose & hints of orange & grapefruit in the back.
