Vanille Paradoxe

I can't stop thinking of this fragrance. The opening is so different than anything I have in my collection. It's just the goldilocks of sweet with just the right amount of juniper giving this a fresh lovely initial blast. The top notes burn off quickly but your left with a pleasing vanilla rose and the slightest cardamom and cedar. The dry down really isnt much different, its vanilla and powdery soft musk. It's not a monster on sillage but longevity was at least 6 hrs and I believe this is my new summer vanilla scent. Its not too heavy or cloying. As Sushi325 below stated it behaves kinda like Vanille Insensee. If you like that (which I adore) you'll love this too. I think I like it even better than Vanille Insensee. It's the same buttery vanilla but it's floaty and light. Absolutely a must sniff if you are a true vanilla connoisseur. Its stunning.

Received this gem from a swap today! I was unsure about it for the first 30 minutes it was on my skin, because it was unusually spicy and powdery. I think the rosemary is a bit overdone in the opening lol. However, after the first 30 minutes, it had evolved into this slightly spicy warm vanilla cloud with musk and ambroxan. It's unlike any of my other vanillas (which are more gourmand and sweet). This is not as edible, but it's so unique and very wearable, and definitely more unisex than most main-stream gourmand scents. I absolutely love it now!

I could not be more obsessed with this perfume, the balance of the freshness of the rosemary, juniper with the warmth of the cardamom and cedar and sweet undertone of the vanilla? It is just one of the most gorgeous scents I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling. Definitely unisex, leant more feminine on a tester card but on my skin more masculine notes are coming out. Just exquisite, I am in love with this perfume.

A beautiful tobacco-y vanilla, smells just like the vanilla bean pod.

Juniper, rosemary and Angelica turns this vanilla based scent into an herbal potion—a sweet herbal potion, with less vanilla than expected from the name. That’s more observational than critical, and I like it but wish that the ambroxan note was omitted....though I realize that’s what gives Vanille Paradoxe good performance. But I think I’m getting tired of ambroxan in so many perfumes. I’m also picking up a citrus note sitting on a grounding base of musk, and I feel this scent is versatile. I can easily imagine wearing Vanille Paradoxe in all but the hottest summer days. I like Vanille Paradoxe but it’s not a love. One aspect I love is the color of the bottle—an yellow ochre that feels unique. If the trio of herbal notes sound intriguing then consider checking Vanille Paradoxe out.

First sniff - wow! Starting with a bunch of rosemary and cardamom it develops into honeyed tea. For me, it gives dense strong tea (black, rooibos, chai or any dark leaf base tea) qualities that embrace you in a fluffy spicy sweet cocoon during wet autumn or out in crispy air in winter. Very different, herbal, and dry take on vanilla It is not a safe blind buy as it can be pungent for some due to its powerful and loud (hello, ambroxan) blend. I'd like to have a bottle, preferably used up to 50/100 ml as I will not buy a new one. Please dm if you have one and would sell it for a reasonable price

This is an herbal, woody, slightly spicy vanilla that reminds me of both Atelier's Vanille Insensee and Diptyque's Eau Duelle. The vanilla is cool and dry, balanced by a prominent warm and cozy cardamom. The cedar and juniper add a woodsy, aromatic edge. I don't really smell the rosemary (though I do catch a piney note that could be either the juniper or the rosemary). A nice combination of notes I enjoy, but this one is too strong for me. From the same family, I prefer Gypsy Water, which I catch whiffs of throughout the day but doesn't leave a sillage trail.

The rosemary and cedar help ground this at first synthetic vanilla. The plasticky vibe matures with the aforementioned turning it into a slightly Animalic musky spread with the cardamom also helping making it a tad dusty. Very nice though not extra ordinary - comparisons to Vanille Incensee by Atelier Cologne are not unwarranted though AC is easily superior and one of the best vanillas full stop and quite frankly a no brainer compared to this.

To me, this smells like a nice, vanilla pipe by a campfire - cozy and seasonal. Juniper and rosemary give a bit of spice - perfect little fragrance for fall and winter

starts off as an cold herbal with its juniper and rosemary as aromatic green top notes, Once its herbal introduction and citrus highlights have burned off, the vanilla definitely plays a larger role, evolves into a citrus-and-spice vanilla with a nice cardamom note and gradually turns warmer. The core is a very clean-musky and sweet (but not too sugary) vanilla. The evolution and interplay between the top and the base are too simple i think, the quality is there but it lacks of complexity and the idea of paradox only lasts a too short time without being present in the base. Good longevity and sillage.

A spicey citrus vanilla. Aromatic/ herbal. The juniper does kick through and the vanilla is not loud but the spices are. Not for everyone and could possibly lean more masculine IMO but that doesn't make it a masculine scent. I would try before you buy but it is a pleasant scent, for those who like such profile. I have other scents with this profile and don't love it enough so I have decided to declutter it.

A little too herbal for me. Vanilla doesn't go hard in the game until the very end (like hoooouuurrs after application). I'm not BIG a vanilla fan but when I grab for something with vanilla in the name, it needs to show up. Much sooner than this one.

I had a big deception because i thought it was very similar to Lothair considering it had 5 votes yes and 0 no. It’s nowhere near lothair, just some far vibe at the beginning, but this is just a sweet feminine vanilla scent, milky, with rosemary, similar to the Virgile one. Too simple and generic for me to cost so much.

I have a sample of this. My first impression of Vanille Paradoxe was, "What vanille?" Until now after several sprays I struggle to find it. I mostly get cardamom. I also can't get over the sour smell it has on my skin. Sorry but it's a no for me.

Particolarissimo e piacevolissimo profumo, che parte con una buona dose aromatica, che si spegne velocemente per far posto ad una vaniglia e cardamomo buonissimi. L'unica cosa che mi dispiace molto é il sillage.. molto basso... che per il prezzo, non é giustificato, secondo me..

It is a very extraordinary vanilla fragrance, but not too extra for those who are looking for the vanilla in it. It leans masculine due to the spicy & smoky background and it might be slightly seasonal... at least it reminds me a bit of the winter holidays

Whenever a fragrance has the word vanilla in its name I must try it. This is almost identical to eau duelle,but a bit softer and I detect slightly more vanilla. Personally I prefer my vanillas a bit more gourmand,but this is still very wearable to me.
