Feu De Bengale

This is divine! I am having trouble finding a bottle anywhere in the USA though, so if someone knows would you please message me? This isn't gourmand but it's almost there. The Davana doesn't make this bitter. Every note meshes so well together. I also don't think it smells like Orchidee Vanilla, which I have too. It does remind me of Lann-Ael by LostMarch though, so if you love that one I think you'd love this too. I get the vanilla, almonds tonka and musk. I get no fig. Q80 below said it reminds him of Cuir Ottoman but I get no leather at all here (thankfully). The tolu balsam isn't heavy or deep. The entire perfume is so perfect and well rounded.

One of my favorite vanilla frags, together with Lune Feline. Feu De Bengale smells of soft and velvety vanilla to me. It gives me a slight cola vibe, maybe it's because of the orange? Similar to the reviewer below, I've had my bottle now for probably 7 months and for sure I feel that it's much better now in every aspect. Initially, I thought it was very weak, but not anymore. Overall I feel that it's very high quality and not too sweet. Looking forward to trying out more of this house eventually.

This the most gorgeous vanilla of life! The dry down is so gorgeous, I can’t stop smelling my wrists! I can’t believe so many little people know of it! It deserves so much more attention than it gets. I reminds me of Tihota a bit and a little of Van cleef arpels orchadee Vanille, it’s like those two had a baby🤣 it’s gorgeous and worth every penny in my opinion.

So so good. This is what Dama Bianca smelt like in my head. Super sweet fluffy vanilla, it’s sugary with a powdery iris kick. In the dry down, it's similar to SDJ Cheirosa 40. I love it!!

Almost jumped on this hype train and was going to blind buy a FB, but glad I got a decant first. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice smooth quality fragrance and the bottle is beautiful. I find it like a more woody, herbal, almond, less sweet, balmy, resinous, warm, complex, less vanillic version of Orchidee on skin. Considering the price, shipping and customs on top, I'll be just fine with Orchidee- its more simplistic and gourmand!

This is a vanilla/tonka bomb. I get fig and davana but the vanilla and tonka crowd most everything else out. I love tonka bean, but I would like a more complete execution of it, this is very linear and quite dull for me.. More almond is coming through. A dusty woodiness as well. Probably from the tolu balsam. This is very unisex for me. This is very intense vanilla and tonka bean. I am getting some of the iris, but the florals are in the background. If you love vanilla and tonka bean and you want them to explode off of you and your clothing seek this out. It just isn't my style. To sweet, to intense w/ the vanilla. My favorite tonka scent (that I don't own yet) is Blocki This Grand Affair. I just find that to be a more complete and well-rounded perfume than Bengale or the Guerlain Tonka Shalimar flanker.

Lesquendieu is an haute couture niche french brand that was founded in 1903 and their original creations were released again to the world in 2016 by the founder’s grandson, Jerome Lesquendieu. The brand stays true to its traditions, only the highest ingredients blended in a Grasse workshop - just as it was a long time ago. Modern approaches meet ancient family traditions. Feu de Bengale is enveloping warmth in a bottle - rich vanilla and tonka in the base made creamy with almond and fig, with slight touches of rose and iris, but the greatest contender here is the subtly resinous tolu balsam which in my opinion, holds all these noble ingredients together. A magnificent vanilla creation which is a little spicy when you first spray it out, but overall creamy and powdery, and it just melts into your skin. I find it extraordinarily intoxicating. I adore almond and fig - and vanilla imbued with the creamy sweetness of almond and the slightly green and sparkling nature, but still sweet fig - this creates a creamy, almost liquor-like quality. Fascinating.

Very pretty! A vanilla that makes me think of powdery playdough. I smell primarily the vanilla, followed by a nutty raw-almond smell. It's not for me; although I am a powder lover and a sweet lover, something about the two together in this composition reminds me a little of artificial banana flavouring up close. I think it's the almond. I'm reminded of a peeled, untoasted almond - the scent is kind of nude and bare and fleshy. The sillage is wonderful, though. I would imagine a young woman living in a cozy cottage wearing this, kind of like Miss Honey from Matilda.

This is a vanilla almonds with tonka beans, figs, iris, and slight doses of sandy balsamic & sweet musk. I surely don't know what they mean with the name but this is no fire, or Bangale! it is quite a honeyed almond iris musk. After around 30 minutes, it turns quite leathery as of a pretty soft leather with some nutmeg & slight sweet nutty flavor! kind of reminds me of sweeter version of "Cuir Ottoman" by Parfum d'empire. It does screams quality and quite an interesting blend as well, but i believe it is overpriced! standing for 420 Euro!

One strong sweet fragrance, makes you travel with its vanilla, tonka bean and almond scents. Even though the vanilla is very present in this creation, the formula is well balanced and the other scent take their place with a growing intensity. Definitely a strong perfume for those with strong personalities. Tolu balsam, part pf the formula is quite interesting here as it is not so present in the industry today.

I wish I got vanilla in this. It is ALL davana to me, Very strong green herby scent. I've never smelled davana before, but it is the only note in here that fits the profile of what I'm smelling. It's not bad, but definitely not what I was expecting. Does Feu De Bengale really smell like orchidee vanille? (never sampled orchidee but always wanted to)

Velvet and round floral vanilla, with the fluffy feel of almonds. With obvious orris root,a bit rose,soothing, elegant and balanced. The skin-friendly powdery feeling of orris and tonka bean blend beautifully, making the overall scent particularly relaxed but exqusite.

This smells like a combo of Wonder Woman and Note Vanille. Very nice, easy to wear, easy reach type. I would want to buy it if I didn't already own Wonder Woman. It's just too similar for me personally to want both bottles. But this is lovely for sure.

Just wanted to correct the info in @Q80 review. Retail price is 240Eur for 75ml, which in today's inflated market is not the worst. I guess what really drives their price up is that cap and label are finished in 24k gold.

Got Orchidee Vanille? You don't need this too. 99% the same both from the bottle and on the skin. Longevity is also about the same.
