Lesquendieu Le Parfum

Balsamic (slightly vintage) vanilla with bright spiciness and light powdery notes. It reminds me a lot of Shalimar, but like one of the flankers that has more sweetness and less floral notes. After a while it becomes softer and less intense and I can feel subtle smokiness and woodiness in the base. It doesn’t have any spicy notes listed, but I guess it’s the birch that gives this spicy/smoky effect. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Lesquendieu Le Parfum is both fresh and oriental constructed. It showcases bergamot as a beautiful entrance and is soon taken over by some warm leather notes and sweet ones with vanilla at the end. Love the very subtle touch of Jasmine coming in after a few minutes. Labeled as unisex it is certainly between the two as the contrasts of flowery, sweet and strong oriental scent matching together. Of course it depends on the skin on which it is sprayed. I must say I love this one from the collection as you can wear it all year long. Formula from 1903, it is the very first creation of the brand, so avant-garde !

It's more of a haze of leather and hints of tea on a bed made of vanilla and tonka beans. To me, it's like a tiny sweet leather essence. As it calms down, the blend goes quite over sweetened for 3 to 6 minutes then slowly the birch rises and the leather disappears for good then turns into a cloying sweet birch. Too sweet and a very weak construct to be specific comparing to their other 2 that i have tried before & feels very common comparing it to the price tag. Umm, i don't believe this stands out to creativity, commonly blend would be the right label.
