Liberty — Hera Reigns Rating: 9/10 Hera Reigns is an oud fragrance done right—confident and refined without tipping into pretension. From the opening, it projects with authority but never shouts, striking a balance that immediately feels intentional. Longevity is excellent, easily carrying through the day with steady presence. The composition centers on a smooth, Western‐style oud that avoids the medicinal or abrasive edges some oud fragrances lean into. Supporting it is a tasteful touch of white florals, adding lift and elegance, while a soft leather accord brings depth and texture. The result is a polished blend that feels powerful yet approachable. What really sets Hera Reigns apart is its restraint. This isn’t an oud meant to intimidate or posture—it’s one meant to be worn confidently, whether dressed up or down. Assertive, wearable, and well‐balanced, it’s a standout in the genre. Final verdict: a strong, modern oud with personality and class. Easy to love, hard to fault.

For me, this leans a bit masculine, but it is gorgeous and I would comfortably wear it! After the opening pink pepper spice wears down a bit (and it is a nice round pink pepper, not a screechy one), on me, there is a bit of background floral, but it is the leather and oud that stand out for me. This one is not quiet, but it is such a well done blend that there are just no sharp edges at all! If this profile appeals, you REALLY ought to try thus one!

If a Stately Home was a fragrance it would be this. And I mean that in a good way.

This is a wonderfully rounded oud and leather scent - it doesn’t veer too far either side of the unisex line. Something about it reminds me of being a less-stinky Rude Oud by FdB. The performance is decent - it’s not a shouter but it’s persistent. However, I’ll never own a full bottle of this since the prices are astounding and pretty unjustified.

A great balance of leather and oud. I find notes like that these quite difficult to like without smelling like a vintage wardrobe or a car seat, but this is truly stunning being a great gateway to more mature and make scents.

I got a travel size due to Monica's reviews, and unfortunately it is very disappointing to me. First couple days it was very spicy and then turned to straight up gasoline and rubber ties, overwhelming gasoline and nothing else. With the name like Hera Reigns, i would expect a magnificent power house of a fragrance which this one is not. I tried layering with other fragrances that may be lacking the punch, but gasoline overpowered every fragrance.

Wherein I reimagine Hera with mean-girl main character energy at the center of a domestic thriller... Book club is three women deep into dissecting this month's pick: a salacious true-crime account of a podcaster's obsession, reconstructed movements, tracked patterns, and a hunt for gruesome details. Someone's pouring more wine. Someone else pivots to the local murder. A woman from the neighborhood (not one of us, that tacky slut with her tits always hanging out at Whole Foods, at pilates, at parent-teacher day) was found dead in the park two weeks ago. Last seen somewhere on Riverside. Then Karen mentions (almost casually, refilling her own glass for like the 3rd time, Jesus Karen) that she saw your husband's car at the Riverside Hotel on Tuesday. The one on the highway. She wasn't even sure it was his at first, but that dumb vanity license plate. The rosé in your own mouth pools unswallowed, sours imperceptibly. You were in the middle of mentally cataloging the rosy peonies you need, the blush ranunculus, the garden roses with that specific peachy undertone for the gala centerpieces. Your phone's open to the florist's website. But Karen's words pique and prickle, a tickle, a tingle. The imaginary floral spreadsheet fades, and other, uglier thoughts rush in, unbidden, unwelcome, unspoken. Tuesday. You were at yoga. He said he was at work. That piquancy, that bright, sharply-not-sparkly effervescent quality, suddenly feels less like exuberance and more like electricity. The itchy-eerie kind that precedes the air when a storm threatens. The room keeps talking. You keep smiling. But something underneath has shifted, darkened, as if the darkness is only just now becoming aware of itself.

It's not often that i find a fragrance that will likely please both oud-lovers (like myself, a lover of genuine oud), and oud-haters alike - this fragrance comes across as both modern and vintage as well - it's quite uncanny, but most importantly, it's a brilliant scent offering. Liberty LBTY offers two 'ouds' - this, and "Ianthe Oud." THIS one, "Hera Reigns" is the absolute better of the two. If you're looking for a non-skanky oud (and don't get me wrong, I adore my barnyardy ouds), and you're looking for a mildly sweet, complex, slightly suedey, and expertly smoothly blended, then "Hera Reigns" is for you.

Finally a leather oud that's nothing like Ombre Nomade nor all its clones. Happy spicy sexy days 💜
