This beauty is so zesty it’s hard to believe there’s no citrus or bergamot there, but the opening combo of ginger and crushed juniper berries is fresh and gorgeous and lasts a little longer than a citrus note would. The warm base of sandalwood and amber makes for a cosy dry down and with iris in there too it’s a little bit powdery and just delightful. Overall it’s unusual enough to set it apart but accessible in the best possible way. I’m a big fan. Reminds me a little bit of Ormand Man by Ormand Jayne.

I’m absolutely in love with this perfume. I got the 8ml travel size in the Liberty advent calendar a couple years ago and have not stopped thinking about it so finally for the 50ml. It’s really overpriced IMO but I couldn’t not have it on my vanity. I can’t describe this scent beyond deep, woody, spicy with a hint of freshness but soft not sharp. There’s nothing else like it.

Mainly sandalwood, nutmeg and amber on my skin – which somehow combines to create a cardamom kulfi ice-cream aroma. Delicious, and I adore it. Not sure about performance, it is pretty weak.

Aromatic winter garden, fresh, a little spicy, very mysterious. Once of my favorite travel bottles from the liberty calendar. The full bottle is so expensive!

Niche December Contestant 16: A good feminine-leaning scent with a very interesting profile, combining some spice, florals and less obvious wooden notes. Not entirely something for me, as I do prefer more masculine notes in my perfumes. It is however pleasant to smell. Longevity is alright, it is almost faded out 7 hours into the test, but that's okay since I didn't overspray it. Overall 6.5/10 There is also a second frag I'm testing today. A legendary one. Review soon.

I was so jazzed for Liberty's Tudor. I tried it the day I got it in the mail, unable to wait to let it settle. At first, I could not place the... unpleasantness. I realized to my horror, it was bug spray, like the kind you spray in your house. Raid to be exact... so deflated! Immediate scrubber. I gave it a month of sitting. 2 months, 3+. Every time, I still get nothing but Raid roach spray, and I scrub it off through the sadness. Super bummer.

Smells like a thicker and longer lasting ormonde man.
