Sun Ice

I have been searching for vanilla freshies - ie Atheeri, Qasamat Ebhar, Casablanca, Nobile 1942 La Danza. All are beautiful in their own way. This is in the same style, is absolutely stunning and worth every penny!! Get your nose on it ❤️

This perfume would be an absolute stunner if it wasn’t for one note......cedar! I really wish there was a different base note used to ground the fragrance. The cedar really pulls through on my skin and it completely overpowers and outshines the other notes within 10 minutes of spraying it on and from then on it’s all I smell. I’m not a fan of cedar notes so maybe I’m a bit sensitive to it, but there’s quite a lot in this fragrance. Layering with Cheirosa 62 helps to calm down the cedar a bit so that’s a plus.

The opening has a 'dusty' sensation that sits alongside the bright citrus. Not sure if that is the pistachio and while not offensive feels disconnected to the rest of the initial notes. Overall a nice fresh vanilla but not ground breaking which is fine, sometimes all you want to a nice scent but there is a little dry screechiness from an overdose of Cedar? that would stop me buying a full bottle.

It’s nice but I think the pistachio throws this off. It’s like it’s pretty but there’s something sticking out that doesn’t belong. I can still see this being mass appealing, though. Not terrible by far...and the dry down reminds me of Carioca Heart.

For anyone wondering these are now available to buy (full bottles and samples) on the companies website which is now working, however you can only buy them currently if you live in France... I guess I’ll have to pass on these.

Vanilla ice cream in a sweet cone with a hint of citruses and lavender (both barely noticeable). Very pleasant.
