Fleur de Canne a Sucre

I purchased this based off all of the reviews below and I must say that that everyone of you guys reviews are on point. However, there is one detail that was left out and that was the longer it's on your skin the stronger and better it becomes. I love it!!! 7/24/18- just ordered a second bottle.

This is a tropical perfume in a way that few Americans are familiar with. The name translates to "cane sugar flower". Instead of a perfume full of synthetic tropical fruit and heady white flowers, here we have a perfume that smells like sugar cane (flower). I think it's ingenious. While traveling in the Philippines, I got to enjoy drinking fresh sugar cane juice. It tastes like water with sugar in it, but it is hard to describe how truly fresh the juice tastes. The sweetness is refreshing rather than nauseating. The notes suggest pineapple, and I do smell it mixed-in with the sugar cane. It smells like a slice of fresh, ripe, juicy and sweet pineapple that has been roasted to the point where the edges have begun to caramelize. The scent of pineapple is extremely delicate to the point where I am not certain I would pinpoint it without having read the notes ahead of time. Some perfumes that contain pineapple smell heavy, sugary and syrupy. Not this one. Bravo for this unique tropical fragrance. Fleur de Canne a Sucre captures the spirit of sugar cane very well. It's light, clean, and sweet. Nice for warm weather but could easily work year-round.

People, please try Fleur de Canne a Sucre if you love gourmands! Its lovely. I never planned to try myself, but the sales lady forced me and she was so sure that I would like it. Really interesting and different fruity-vanilla. I got some anise note even if not listed or maybe it is the pineapple. The sugar note is not annoying, believe me. It is a nice oriental especially for gourmand fans.

The notes on this are completely wrong in my opinion. It does not smell sugary or caramel-ish or like pineapple at all. I thought that since I also own vanille west indies, this would be a simple, sweet, gourmand frangrance like that, but instead I smelled musk, white flowers, and sugar. Does not smell tropical either. It is a very warm, powdery, cozy, creamy fragrance. It evolves with time, and I think it is delicious, but not in the straghtforward way that vanille west indies is. The sweetness here is very mature, not cloying at all. Because of that, I think this perfume is not suited for young people, in spite of the notes. It doesn't mean it's not a masterpiece, the notes are very well blended and create a very sophisticated, glamorous feeling. However, in spite of it being a beautiful fragrance, I find it doesn't suit me at all, so I will gift it to my mother. If you're looking for an elegant, well rounded, white floral gourmand you will absolutely love it.

Blind bought it and it is so delightful! Uncomplicated, light and simple. Just sugar and ripe, juicy yellow pineapple. It is not cloying, nor sticky caramel either. Kind of positive juice to go to when you want to turn to something safe but not boring. Happiness, holidays, this is what it makes me think of. Great vacation scent!

This is a sweet green tropical floral. Not too sweet by any means. Well-balanced, well-constructed. Smells like sophisticated vacation-wear. Something you pack when you go to the Cayman Islands. Quite lovely. But this is NOT a sweet pineapple gourmand.

Just received my sample, and glad I did not blind buy. One word (or two): Lolita Lempicka. Comparing both on my wrists and they are at 95% a match! I own so many Lolita flankers, I don't need another one...

Nobody knows this one ? Pineapple + caramel + sugar = heaven, so I'm quite interested in it ! ^^
