The tea note is absolutely beautiful. 🍵 It’s clean and calming without smelling like literal tea leaves. The bergamot gives it a sparkling brightness that immediately lifts my mood, while the blonde woods and soft cardamom create this warm, comforting backdrop that feels almost like a favorite blanket. It’s fresh without being “shower gel fresh.” Green without smelling grassy. Comforting without becoming heavy. That balance is what makes this fragrance so special. Tonight, when I wasn’t feeling my best, this fragrance somehow managed to make me feel a little more human. Sometimes that’s exactly what perfume is supposed to do. 💚 It’s elegant, peaceful, airy, and incredibly easy to wear. I am self proclaimed connoisseur of tea fragrances. There is not a scent category I love more and have more fragrances from. That being said she is my current favorite. Ethereal Wave is the easiest reach and takes a lot of the best parts of all of the tea scents and makes for a beautiful casual day scent. She is calming, casual, breezy, and happy. It is woodier than the rest of the market which is a standout when it comes to originality. It also is far less citrus focused than most on the market. I feel like reviewers on Fragrantica say all tea scents are the same, just looking at the “what does it remind you of” is just a collective of every tea scent on the market and all reviews compare them all to Elizabeth Arden Green Tea the same way all rose scents are compared to Delina when in reality they are not at all that similar. Ethereal Wave to me is a casual late spring or summer Saturday morning sipping a cup of tea on your patio in your lightest pajamas while figuring out your leisurely plans for the day. It is sitting in the sun cheering on your young family member at their soccer or tball game. It is the easiest reach when running out the door to run to Target. It is the small joys.

All I can say is WOW! This is my first real foray into tea scents, so take that for what it is worth. But this scent is somehow ethereal, uplifting, mysterious, nostalgic, summery, comforting, and exciting all at once. It really takes you on a journey! This was less spicy than I anticipated, but I am HOOKED. The tea and bergamot/citrus sit right at the forefront of the scent, but the cardamom/woods mixture keeps it grounded and longer lasting. It's more of a cool/fresh spicy, and I would say this reminds me of drinking iced tea (with sugar and lemon of course!) with my grandmother on her porch on a hot summer afternoon after running through the yard, covered in fresh green grass stains-- she has a musky, spiced perfume that is wafting over to me but just out of reach at the same time. There's also something in this scent specifically that feels 90s, but I can't pinpoint where or what it is evoking for me. Overall, I think this scent is so comforting and lovely, both fresh and clean but also evocative and mysterious. It's good for all occasions, and I really can't wait to get my hands on a full bottle after my sample runs out!

I love tea and citrus fragrances anyway so it was a pretty safe bet that I’d like Ethereal Wave. Not only did I like it, it may be my favorite tea and citrus scent. The opening is a fresh, clean, green, citrusy burst that is well rounded and not sharp. It is so refreshing and feels totally like an ethereal wave has washed over me. It is definitely a skin scent that sticks close to the body, but I’m okay with that! The fragrance dries down to a lovely clean musk that smells just like beautiful, clean skin. It’s the way I want my skin to smell all the time. Knowing that Ethereal Wave is such a light, skin scent, I went into this not expecting the longevity to be great, but I am dissappointed at just how fleeting this scent is. On my skin, it has very little lasting power and was pretty much gone in an hour. I’d buy a full bottle of this in an instant if the longevity was slightly better. As it is, I can’t quite justify the hefty price tag for a fragrance that is so fleeting. It smells absolutely stunning though and I wish there was a way to make it last longer.

I've been searching for a nuanced sweet scent. Something a little spicy. A little sexy, but not in your face. A natural, earthy sexy - crisp and clean with a hint of darkness Ethereal Wave hits the juxtaposition of dark and light just right. It smells lovely and fresh on its opening: welcoming and green, like a fresh herbal tea. As it dries down, I've found it can go one of two ways. If I'm fresh from the shower, it ends up smelling clean and almost soapy. If I put it on before a night out, the bergamot and cardamom notes really sing through. Ethereal Wave is a chameleon! I see that most people have voted this as a daytime/warm weather frag, but is it wrong of me to say it's perfect for all occasions? I love it most when I've been out all day and am just a little sweaty (for me, not just a summer occurrence). That's when the deeper notes come out to play!

I have never fallen in love with a perfume as quickly as I did this one. I ordered a sample and knew I wanted a full bottle as soon as I put it on my skin. It's a bright citrusy tea fragrance with a touch of woody elements and a delicious soapy quality that I can't pin down (it smells more like how a bubble bath feels than gel soap itself). The longevity and sillage are unfortunately not amazing for the price (I get probably 3-4 good hours before it's almost undetectable), but I'm so in love with the fragrance that I genuinely don't care. It's one of the best "clean girl" scents I've ever smelled. I almost love this more than Valaya in some ways, which I can sometimes find harsh or overpowering in certain instances. It truly does make me feel etheral, and will become a new favorite scent for the spring and summer months.

OH BOY OH BOY! the second i smelled this i was catapulted back to 2012 when I first fell in love with fragrances. I was maybe 9. Alcohol addiction just starting (perfume alcohol) due to a trip to bath & body works. I picked up white tea & ginger alongside juniper breeze. My two all time favorite scents to this day. I was so utterly delighted the second I smelled this to be vividly reminded of white tea & ginger. No ginger listed but it still somehow smells like it. I am picking up a peach or nectarine scent. I see why people say it’s similar to green tea by EA. Also indigo by nest (another favorite of mine). It has that sweetness indigo has. Beautiful. When I have the disposable funds I want a full bottle. Edit: I would describe it as sparkly. Also everyone is crapping on this & I think it’s quite undeserved.

In a few words, Tommy Girl for grown-ass adults. And that's a compliment. It's a gorgeous tea scent, with a healthy dose of aromatic cardamom and a bit of zingy-ness that I assume is from the bergamot. A perfect warm weather scent if you like a fragrance with a bit more depth than a simple citrus freshie. Decent longevity on clothes, but wears pretty close after a few hours on skin. I adore this one, and I paid full retail price for a bottle, which for me is saying something because I usually troll resale sites for partial bottles when I can. Editing to add that in addition to Tommy Girl, another similar fragrance is Monday by Arielle Shoshana. Ethereal Wave did it better, although I don't think having both would necessarily be redundant.

I like it a lot. Reminds me of Wood Sage and Sea Salt in the sense that it's hard to describe exactly what I'm smelling. Ethereal Wave is a great name for it because if I had to assign the smell a color I would say clear but with a red hue. There is some saltiness but less so. It's kind of like sweet, slightly rosey air. Musky, light, a tiny bit woody in the background. Also reminds me of Clean Air by Clean. Maybe a touch soapy, but very slight. In the dry down it becomes rosier and also metallic. Still airy but seems more substantial as time goes on. After a 2-3 hours it basically becomes a very close to the skin scent. And has a tinge of sunscreen. And, surprisingly, the tiniest trace of cinnamon?

at first when i applied this i was a little let down as the complexity felt a bit one note, with it being heavier on bergamot than anything, however once it dries down and you can get a little more cardamom this is suuuuuch a realistic white tea scent that i could see myself wearing all the time during spring. at this price point i do think it might be a touch overpriced for what it is, but given how on the mark they are i honestly would still enjoy a full bottle of this for how accurate it is. to me this would be the perfect perfume to wear to the office or work, bc i struggle to see how anyone could hate this, it's just so light and pretty even if it is a bit simple

This is Wulong Cha minus the zingy citrus opening and take away the bitterness of the Oolong tea in favor of white and black tea. I have one on each arm and they are pretty similar but I prefer Ethereal Wave. So unless you love Oolong tea specifically, I think you will find Ethereal Wave more enjoyable to wear. I do wish it had an ever so slight nutmeg and fig like Wulong Cha to add some extra interest but of all the tea fragrances I’ve tried (Wulong Cha, Monday, Winter Palace, Remember Me, Gris Charnel, African Rooibos, Pomelo Oolong, Dear Polly, London Fog, Milky Dragon, The Matcha and Oud Pagode) I like this best.

Genuinely surprised at the longevity of this fragrance, usually with fresh scents i can never get them to last long but this one i was able to still smell after 6-7 hours on skin and 8-10 on clothing. It smells like a beautiful gloomy and misty day; you get a bright dewey greenness from the tea leaves and a subtle warmth/coziness from the blonde woods and cardamom that is reminiscent of sitting in a cafe by a window embracing the cool breeze from outside. It’s a simple fragrance ingredients-wise but it says exactly what it needs to say. The only downside is the price as it’s listed for 175 for 50ml

Got the last bottle of this before it sold out and I am glad I did. To me, this is a very inoffensive, safe daytime scent. I would say it is best worn in spring and autumn as it lends a perfect bridge from spicier winter scents to zestier summer scents and vice versa. Ethereal wave hits me with zesty bergamot at first spray then dries down to spicier tea and spice notes, while still staying clean and sophisticated. It reminds me of Chance Eau tendre even though they do not smell alike but convey a similar feeling. The woody notes in the background make this one more interesting.

I've been reaching for this SO OFTEN LATELY! Liis makes gorgeous scents that I have the habit of underestimating, and Ethereal Wave is no different. I put this down for months and when I picked it back up recently, fell in love. Feels like I'm at a beautiful spa! So soft, so lovely, so fresh but it has depth like a strong cup of black tea. An earthy fruitiness that isn't sweet. Almost tobacco-like! It may not be the most long-lasting fragrance in my collection, but it's pure loveliness. Timeless. Beautiful. Lightweight -- which I love, as someone who gets headaches.

Smells like an expensive tea with a lemon slice served at a luxurious spa. This is one of my favourite springtime scents for when it has just rained and the clouds are starting to clear up. The hint of blonde woods makes the base more complex than an average tea scent. It's one of my most complex tea perfumes and a must-have for tea lovers. The cardamom is hard to pick out and is moreso a supporting character for the overall complexity, rather than a center note. Ethereal wave smells like an ethereal fairy that has emerged from the rain. So pretty!

If anyone remembers those Nestea plunge commercials were people fall back into a cool, blue pool after taking a sip of iced tea—this is that in a bottle. Bright, fresh, invigorating, calming. I don't normally go for scents like this, and I was caught off guard by how much I liked this. It's the perfect office scent: intimate, inoffensive, and rejuvenating. I get a little energy burst every time I catch a whiff of it from my wrists, but it also has an overall soothing, spa-like quality. Sunshine dappling over a tranquil pool.

First of all, Liis has so many great scents - one of the few fragrance houses with perfumes that are (almost only) hits for me. I was doubting between 4 scents (Studied, Bo, Floating & Ethereal Wave) but choose this one, as I don’t own many tea scents. It’s a fresh green little spicy tea fragrance, very refreshing and perfect for the spring. Relaxing, calming, bright scent that I wear mostly during the daytime. Longevity is medium, need to reapply after a couple of hours. But overall very happy with it!

very striking bergamot at first whiff on my skin! the dry down is lovely and cozy. the tea notes aren't as prominent on me but i can tell that they're there, along with the woods and cardamom- this settles down to a cozy, steamy citrus tea. a little sauna on your skin. it reminded me of those videos of capybaras in hot springs, lounging with yuzu on their heads. steamy, cozy, herbal, serene. i can't stop sniffing myself. capybaramaxxing as we speak.

This is one of the most delicious and beautiful scents I have ever smelled in my life. I wore it to bed last night and woke up to this incredible bubble of scent around my bed. I wore it to work today and the pleasant fragrance coming off my clothes and skin made work feel easier. To me, it smells like warm and cozy throw blankets and cold brewed tea with fresh citrus. It’s not in your face, but it’s insanely good.

The calmest, zen-like perfume I have in my current collection. This is the grown-up version of Elizabeth Arden's White Tea. The mixed blend of black and white tea, and blonde woods really gave it a sophisticated feel. However, this isnt a "warm" tea by any means, feels very "detached". It's like going back to drink a cup of tea thats turned cold already on the mountain lodge balcony.

I like this a lot. It's a bitter tea scent, which I really like. I don't like tea scents that get sweet or milky. This one stays on the sharper side, though not as sharp as Wulong Cha. It smells like a spa. Fairly weak projection and longevity though. I think guys who are good with unisex scents can easily wear this, but the butch bro's that love ouds will think it's too feminine.

I’m generally a vanilla-amber-musk lover, but I do like this one. I find a lot of scents that are not those three things are too sharp or floral or screechy. But this one smells like a high end spa. I might have to get a bottle of this and branch out from my vanilla and musk ways. This is so nice I can’t imagine anyone not liking this. Great for the office.

This is an easy grab tea scent with citrus. I've worn it to work every day for 2 weeks. There's more dynamics to it than just Elizabeth Arden green tea. The blonde wood dries down nicely on me and lasts a good amount of time. Citrus scents don't usually turn sour on me so get a sample if that's an issue for you. Great for summer and super hot weather.

I got everything I was hoping for with this fragrance; it's like drinking a cool iced tea on a hot day in late spring in a new car with the windows down. It's so refreshing, the blonde woods gives it an aquatic-adjacent smell that is really nice for someone who wants to love aquatics but hates to wear them. Liis is gonna bankrupt me.

After searching for a tea fragrance that isn’t overwhelmingly green or overly floral, I’ve finally found the perfect match. It’s a serenely herbal scent (think earl grey), so light it practically whispers, with a clean, almost soapy finish. I'm completely in love with it and it’s one my favorites from the entire line.

i love her! gorgeous balanced tea scent! she's fresh and aromatic, not too sweet, not too spicy. i would say it's quite a 'safe' scent, not in a bad way, but if you're looking for a TEA scent, this one isn't bold enough. the sillage is a bit weak and won't last long. despite that, i can't help but still love her <3

This is lovely. It’s like a slightly sweeter Dear Polly. I really like it, but since I own Dear Polly, I don’t know if I can justify buying a bottle. This would be nice for work or when you want a soft, intimate scent. Edit: It just got better and better the longer I wore it. I definitely need a full bottle.

I found this perfume at a small apothecary. I went home with a sample and the following week went back to purchase it. It's perfect in every way. Light but with depth, starts off sparkling with citrusy notes and dries down to a subtle fragrance that reminds you how pretty you are on the inside and out.

Love at first spray. It's a fresh, citrusy-y tea scent. It's more of a fresh tea bag than a brewed cup kidn of vibe. Sprayed this on and met up with a friend who claims to not be into perfumes at all and got the most genuine "YOU SMELL AMAZING" I've ever received. Signature scent worthy.

Light clean gentle fragrance. Office appropriate. Spring and summer day time in my opinion. On skin for me less about the tea and all about the bergamot and cardamom. Gentle dry down. Less like a cleaning product and more like a citrus candy or herbal lemonade.

To me this smells like a cross between Ellis Brooklyn's Sci Fi and Vilhelm's Dear Polly, a clean and citrus-y tea fragrance. Sci Fi turns very sharp on me after about an hour, Ethereal Wave is what I wanted Sci Fi to be

the opening is a fresh burst of bright tea and bergamot, but i get a lot of the spicy cardamom in the dry down! i really enjoy it, and it gets sliiiightly sweeter on the dry down. reminds me of a spiced black tea :)

It smells just like walking into a Muji store. Woodsy and herbal without leaning too masculine or overwhelming. Fills a gap in my collection, might have to buy a full bottle. Probably my favorite of the brand.

Icy cold tea with a slight honey-like sweetness. refreshing & invigorating. This is going to be a stunner in the heat of a hot day. This is such a pretty and nostalgic scent.

Sweet but not cloying or gourmand, citrusy but doesn't smell like a cleaning product. Feels like wearing a light pink and white color combo; girly in a fresh and sparkly way.

My absolute favorite unisex cologne. It's a bit pricey, but a small amount goes a long way and lasts for hours, so it's worth it to me.

Reviewing 2ml sample. Pretty sure this is FB worthy! Sparkly, translucent, comfy. Incredibly enjoyable to wear from start-to-finish.. it is pretty, inoffensive and quite contemporary. One of the better tea fragrances I have encountered in recent times, for sure. A prominent bergamot at the top rapidly mellows into a bubbly, effervescent, and quite a 'cooling' citrus once it settles; this creates quite an interesting dynamic later on with the cardamon. The tea itself has a slight bit of musk and floral but is nonetheless an incredibly realistic, clean tea-scent. Crisp, invigorating, here I can detect a healthy dose of freshly cut white florals absent of anything 'challenging'... my nose is registering it as jasmine or jasmine-tea. The black tea is much less frequently apparent, and I am curious if weather/temperature plays a role here. Perhaps they go through a role-reversal depending on the season? The cardamon is frothy, warm, and mild. Similarly subtle but recognizable way below the surface, its hint of spicy sweetness provides a smooth translation into the dry down; woodsy, powdery, with an earlier musk remaining throughout. Very spa-like and tranquil. This could absolutely work in cooler months and not just during the dogdays of summer (or particularly warm-and-muggy spring). Totally versatile, a nod to the effortlessly-complex-simplicity of the scent itself. EW is not a 1-dimensional fragrance despite being sheer and, indeed, incredibly ‘ethereal’.

This is one of the only fragrances I've ever blind-bought, and I hate to admit I wish I had sampled it first. I don't regret owning it: it's very pretty, and I was in the market for a White/Black Tea fragrance that would evoke fancy hotel lobby ambiance, which it does. But the Bergamot, a note I usually adore, comes across a bit sharp, starchy, and saccharine on my skin - reminiscent of Snapple Iced Lemon Tea - inoffensive but a bit cheap, synthetic, almost malty and nonperishable. It's cool and a bit sterile where I wish there was more warmth and character. On me, it's all Spring + Summer airiness where I wish there was at least a hint of Fall depth. I love Liis DNA, especially its ambrette and musks (just wish they lasted *significantly* longer for the price), and I read one review that said Ethereal Wave dries down to a familiar Liis skin scent. I did NOT find this to be true on me. Once the overpowering bergamot recedes, I get a pretty white/black tea that lasts about 1-2 hrs (which I do really enjoy), and then nothing. No skin scent that I could detect. If I had sampled it first, I doubt I would have splurged for a full bottle, but I will enjoy it now that I have it. It's very appropriate for office settings + close quarters. Can't imagine this fragrance being offensive to anyone.

Is it a little to on the nose to call a tea scent refreshing? Even so I think it's well warranted for Etheral Wave which was gifted to me by Liis. Ethereal Wave opens with a blast of bergamot, immediately settling into its tea notes after. It is cozy, comforting, evoking visions of you getting ready for a day of self care on a cool autumn morning with your favorite cup of tea. The cardamom is there, albeit soft, adding just a touch of spice before you get to the woody musk that sits at the base of the fragrance. Like many of the Liis scents I've tried this is a scent that sits intimately close to you but when you're an over sprayer like me well...I got compliments throughout the work day for my first two hours at just walking by people. It lasted on my skin for about four hours but on my clothes well over seven. For me this is this is for the cottage core aesthetic girlie who wants something bright yet comforting, the office worker who wants to speak before their scent does, or that person having a hard day and just needs a quick sprits of something to uplift their spirits.

As you can see by my username, I love Cocteau Twins. On LuckyScent, they were name dropped specifically, which is what led me to purchase a sample. It’s soapy, but why do I kinda like it... 🫣 Very pleasant so far. It’s less Heaven or Las Vegas (album) or Treasure and more Victorialand and Blue Bell Knoll (NOT “Athol-brose”). Songs that match the vibe for those who prefer more abstract descriptions: “Lazy Calm” (⭐️) “The Thinner the Air” “Carolyn’s Fingers” “Blue Bell Knoll” (song) (⭐️) “For Phoebe Still A Baby” (⭐️) “The Itchy Glowbo Blow” (⭐️) “Ella Megablast Burls Forever” (⭐️) “Iceblink Luck” (I know I said no Heaven or Las Vegas 🤫) “Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires” (🤫) “Those Eyes, That Mouth” “Orange Appled” (⭐️) “Sigh’s Smell of Farewell” (⭐️) “Crushed” (⭐️) I think this could be a scent one could wear for every season except autumn. Traditionally, more spring or summer, though. It’s winter-y in the way that Cocteau Twins’ music is often winter-y (yes, even Heaven or Las Vegas). Very easy going and inoffensive!

Quite beautiful, I tested this and Dear Polly and I get more black tea from Dear Polly with a little apple but this one is a little more cold Snapple tea on a hot day vibes. I don't get citrus, I get a bit of a fruityness - almost berry like - which is interesting as I don't see any of that in the notes, maybe its how my nose is translating the Bergamot. It also reminds me a lot of Via, a laundry detergent we have here - so I get a bit of fresh laundry vibes due to the association. Overall a nice, pleasing, clean scent I think is inoffensive and good to wear for any occasion but the longevity is so bad. I sprayed it at 11am and its now 2pm and nearly gone. I would buy it if it werent for the short lifespan, so I rated it as lower value to cost due to that.

Very citrusy on the first spray, but also a little alcohol-heavy. The citrus backs off quite rapidly, leaving an intimate, warm tea scent close to the skin with a hint of citrus that I would catch further away here and there. I think I smell the blonde woods too, something like a very light vetiver or warm, round, light incense, but it is very faint. Not great projection; had to lift my wrist to my nose to smell even immediately after spraying. Nothing objectionable about it at all (and I am not a huge lover of tea scents, but I like this), and it is in fact quite pleasant for the short time it lingers, but it's way overpriced for the performance. Mostly a faint memory within half an hour, with occasional snatches of citrus for a couple of hours. 8/10.

Pleasant citrusy spa scent with some indie street cred per the name (incongruous, sure, but office workers who listen to Lycia and dead can dance on their shifts want to wear perfume too!). Field notes from the wild: I sprayed this on before heading to a park to do some reading, but the moment I sat down a bee materialized by the crook of my knee, where I’d just doused myself in perfume. I tried all the tricks I could find online to get this bee to quit tormenting me - slipped off my red polka dot coat, walked slowly up and down the length of the park, delicately covered my nose and mouth - but it was no use. So buyer 🐝-ware, unless you’re into that sort of thing....apparently, bees symbolize prosperity and abundance
