Rose Struck

I have tried all Liis fragrances and Rose Struck is truly my number 1. I immediately bought a full size and it’s made its way into my top 5 in my collection! It’s a gorgeous jammy fruity rose and the matcha note is stunning. To me personally, it doesn’t scream rose - and I love that! It is not your grandmothers rose fragrance that’s for sure. I see it’s being compared to Eau Rose by Diptyque and I don’t see that comparison at all to my nose. Eau Rose is very citrusy where as Rose Struck is jammy & fruity. I’m new to the fragrance world but to me it’s an all seasons scent and an immediate love. My husband rarely ever comments on my perfumes and I can honestly say that 9 times out of 10 when I’m wearing Rose Struck he will comment how good it is. I do find the price to be very steep for only a 50ml! I got lucky and bought it from the Liis website when they had some sort of “perfectly imperfect” sale and I truly can’t find the imperfection on the bottle or box!

A dewy, garden fresh rose at the opening, beautifully balanced with light, airy sweetness from black currant and citrus. This is definitely not a beast performing rose scent but one I will continue to go back for, so I don't mind that I need to reapply throughout the day. It's perfect right out of the shower, as it is sort of reminiscent of a soapy or shampoo scent and undeniably fresh. I don't really get the matcha note described, there's nothing inherently earthy about the scent. The price tag on this one is a bit high, especially since it only lasts on my skin for a couple hours, but I have yet to find such a cool, fresh-picked, almost photorealistic, rose garden scent. It reminds me of sitting in my grandmother's garden as a kid, on a dewy morning with blooming roses perfuming the fresh, spring air. If you're a rose lover, this would be a great one to add to your collection- I get compliments every time I wear it.

First impression is great. It’s a rose scent for rose lovers, but it layers well with other scents. I’m wearing it with Wonderland Peony and it’s delightful. This is a winner. Update: This smells just like roses from my mom’s garden. It’s light and beautiful. It’s perfect from spring and summer. The tangerine and tea keep it fresh, and the black currant gives it a hint of sweetness. It’s really gorgeous, but not groundbreaking. It’s perfect for me. My other rose forward scents are better suited for fall and winter (Delina Exclusif, Dior’s La Colle Noire, Sisley’s Izia La Nuit, Twilly d'Hermes Eau Poivree, Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir, etc.). This is the lightest rose I own.

I originally purchased this perfume in the Liis discovery set to try Studied (which I ended up loving) but was unexpectedly drawn to the fresh, dewiness of Rose Struck the more I smelled it. It’s a very realistic smelling rose scent with the fruit and matcha notes serving to brighten the opening while the floral rose settles in with the dry down, but it’s not overpowering like some rose scents can be. On my skin, it lasts several hours and can still be smelled close to the skin after a full day. It also layers beautifully with Bo from Liis, I recommend trying out their discovery set because all of their perfumes have proven to be full bottle worthy for me so far!

This is the closest perfume I've found so far to a realistic fragrant tea rose, so I really appreciate the perfumer's effort at capturing that scent. The opening is extremely close to putting your nose in a tea rose and inhaling. As it dries down, the matcha note begins to dominate but the rose is still present. I agree with the reviewers who said there's a sourness to the dry down. If I were the perfumer, I'd consider adding some apple or perhaps some peach to make it even closer to that wonderful tea rose smell. The one scent I found that is almost identical to the tea rose I'm seeking is actually Mrs. Meyer's rose hand soap.

Now this is a true rose. But not just the flower itself - think of walking through a rose garden on a nice spring day. I felt like I could smell each blade of grass, and envisioned a little lady bug crawling up a rose stem. It's bright, it's floral, it's soft - and not powdery at all. This is a new age rose fragrance, not your grandma's powdery rose. Some florals make me sneeze, give me a headache, or make me want to scrub it off right away. But not Rose Struck. I'll have to wait for the dry down, but this is seeming like it belongs in my collection. Incredible!

A bright, clean, fresh, genuine rose. I'm enjoying it enormously. There are a couple of roses I like better, but not many. This is up there with Jo Malone's White Rose and Lemon Leaves and Sisley's Izia. Also Floris's A Rose For... I like it a lot, I think I even love it. June is the month of rose and romances, wind and moonlight. I'll be wearing it all month. I may mix a couple of roses together. Fun. I'll probably back it up with my precious roll-on bottle of Roses de Chloe.

This is a love for me as someone who is very picky when it comes to floral fragrances, especially roses. The opening is bright citrusy and tangy, the tangerine is definitely the star. As it continues to dry down and stay closer to the skin it begins to get softer and fluffier as the citrus notes fade away leaving a soft pretty rose skin scent. The dry down reminds me of byredos young rose with a touch of citrus added. It is youthful, bright, and perfect for spring and summer.

I really like this but there are definitely more affordable alternatives like Philosophy's Ballet Rose or even Rose Water Ivy from Bath and Body Works. It shares the same top notes as Chloe Roses but I find this one to be a little more fruity. I was very excited to see a matcha note but I can't detect it at all. How unfortunate! Luckily, this scent lasts on my skin longer than I expected, especially for these light floral fragrances.

This is VERY green, like smelling a rose just cut from the bush. It's fresh and juicy and just downright delicious. I can't express exactly how beautiful this is. It is definitely light, much lighter than my other rose options ( Delina Exclusif, Delina La Rosee, Regimes des Fleurs Little Flowers), but that makes it perfect for swelteringly hot summer days. I really love this.

rose struck is a polite scent, keeping its fragrance close to solely the user and someone who hugs them very tightly. by no means is the matcha as potent as ceremonial grade but more so a light green pre-sweetened package that saved you a few bucks. i'd describe it as rose water and a watered down matcha somehow ended up in the same bowl, i love this scent.

Fresh, dewy rose. I can smell the stem too, that green note, which might be what's listed here as matcha tea. It's clean, not at all heavy or oppressive. I wish it projected better, but it's quite lovely. Smells like: That friend who always gives you incredibly thoughtful handmade birthday gifts.

The rose in this scent - and make no mistake, it's mostly a rose scent - reminds me of Stella EDP, the original release. I've been sad Stella is discontinued but maybe I don't need to be so sad now, because Rose Struck is on the scene. Off to buy a FB.

a pretty lovely and floral rose scent, not too old lady but a very nice young lass comes to mind. kind of like if you chewed up rose and tangerine gummies and then drooled them onto your skin. not vegetal at all, lightly heady.

If you enjoy rose without the sickly sweet/amber that usually accompanies it (like Delina), this one is great. Citrus-y and green with a soft, sweet rose as it dries down. Definitely one of my favorite rose scents so far.

Very clean, young rose. Subtle, gentle and beautiful. Too bad it only lasts 30 min on my skin. I am looking for something similar that has longevity. If anyone knows of another rose fragrance similar to this...hit me up.

As someone who has always been averse to citrus and recently decided rose was not for her- the tangerine is delicious and makes this such a fresh, youthful rose. Similar to Delina but a bit softer and less tart.

Smells like rose scented soap that you’d find in a fancy hotel. It’s such a pretty rose with some tang! Perfect for summer.

very pretty sweet rose scent with a citrus and green tea background. reminds me of tocca bianca, which lasts longer on me.

I love this Rose. There's something a little effervescent about it! Really great fragrance if you like rose!

Rose Struck is such a beautiful fragrance. It immediately reminded me of Dior Blooming Bouquet, but with a greener, earthier twist. There is a freshness to it that keeps it from feeling overly sweet, while still maintaining that delicate, feminine elegance. I do think it may have slightly better staying power than Blooming Bouquet, but I would not buy this expecting powerhouse performance. This is a skin scent, and I suspect it is meant to be one. The projection is soft, intimate, and close to the body. That said, it lingers beautifully on the skin and remains surprisingly present when you catch little glimpses of it throughout the day. I'm a firm believer that sometimes you have to appreciate things for what they are. Rose Struck is a resprayer. Don't buy it thinking you're going to spray it once in the morning and still be announcing your presence at dinner. Buy it knowing you'll probably want a travel spray in your purse. And honestly? Every time you respray it, you're probably going to smile. It feels elegant, sophisticated, delicate, and effortlessly feminine. Not loud. Not attention-seeking. Just beautiful. The scent itself is easily five-star worthy for me. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because I don't think the longevity is quite there. But as a fragrance experience, it is absolutely lovely.

Rosestruck immediately felt familiar to me, in a pleasant way, and I realized it was like a combination of fragrances I liked when I was 13: The fruity, spicy rose of Pacifica's Persian Rose, the fresh herbal/citrus/floral of American Eagle's Bohemian, and the fresh/aquatic/green/citrus (and tea) of Bath & Body Works White Citrus and Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea. Like some others have said, there is a little soapy quality to it. And to my nose, a slight spiciness like there is in some amber or woody accords, although I don't know where it came from. Maybe my personal chemistry. The rose seemed sweeter (in a slightly sugary synthetic way) on dry down after the fresh top/mid notes faded. But overall it's more a fresh, greenish citrusy rose than a sweet one, and I happen to love when fruity florals are balanced with prominent fresh green citrus. Liis' described it as: "Inspired by flowers frozen in ice and dramatic winter skies transforming into spring-- a fleeting moment captured in scent. A study in contrasts and impermanence, a modern, reimagined rose" so I understand why they played up the fresh greenness to evoke the rebirth of spring. I don't think it's an extraordinary example of its genre but it smells nice enough.

if i’d smelled this about 6 months ago i’d be in love with it. i love a good dewy fresh rose, and this is nothing but that. what little i detect of the other notes is really only serving to enhance the rose notes and give them a more fresh, verdant character. it smells like a big, blousy, pink rose, just fully opened and still on the bush. that being said, i already own a bottle of regime des fleurs little flower, which is a similarly dewy pink rose scent, but with a really beautiful black tea note and some additional springy florals and light woody notes. if you just want the rose, this will be perfect for you, but my itch has already been scratched more thoroughly by another fragrance.

dense and delicate fruity rosewater with a touch of citrus to sort of round it all out. i totally get where they were going with the matcha note, it sort of just brings out a musky powdery texture out of the rose. the blackcurrant is so present and is what gives the fragrance its overall juicy fruitiness. its super faint and just delicately spreads out on your skin as it dries further and further. the dry down reminds me of the dry down of mixed emotions by byredo; maybe cuz they're both black currant dominant lol. it immediately made me think of a fresh summer breeze while you smile under the warmth of the sun.

A very light and airy scent, great for spring. I get rose from the beginning -- the rose is the simple pink and white blossoms of roses climbing up a white lattice arbor, you have to lean into it to smell them properly. Citrus is there, but seems to hold the roses up for attention. The macha anchors it, I don't get much currant. Earlier reviewer noted good for young girls, I agree. It is not a strong scent, and doesn't last long, might need reapplying -- another benefit for young girls who often over spray in their early perfume days.

This is nice, it doesn't blow me away, but it's nice. A greenish, citrusy rose scent with fairly good performance. I haven't smelled Little Flower, but it seems like people think they're pretty similar, and since they cost the same, personally I would go with Little Flower because the bottle is so much more beautiful. I think Liis fragrances are overpriced for what they are. That's just me though. I tested a few recently, and I thought for $100 for 100ml they're pretty ok. Well, turns out they're $165 for 50ml!

In my search for the perfect Rose, this is good but not perfect. Great, even. But... not perfect. I think the fragrance is well-balanced, I like the powdery edge, hint of sunlit citrus, and fresh green tea. Just a touch too much dark, juicy berry for me. In short: a sweet + juicy rose! Edit: Well I've come around. This is perfect for feeling CLEAN + pretty. I've since tried Delina (all 3 versions), Damask by Ormonde Jayne, and I own Diptyque's Eau Rose hair perfume. Rose Struck by Liis is special! I love her.

This opens with the most beautiful fresh rose- it's so pretty. Shortly after the opening, I get the citrus, followed by the black currant/cassis. I do get a slight cat pee vibe from the black currant, but it goes away pretty quickly (thankfully). I didn't notice the matcha until the far, far dry down. The performance on this is outstanding, lasting all day. This is a pretty, citrusy rose, but not a must-have, even for rose lovers. It reminds me a bit of Rose Blanche by Precious Liquid.

This is a really cool rose scent!! I am newer to fragrances so maybe the novelty of a juicy rose scent is really what I’m excited about! But I love that this is first striking with tangerine and currant and then has that lovely textured roses scent that is dulled with the earthy matcha. I think it is complex and really lovely. It strikes me as a special occasion fragrance but I could see how this would become a love potion on someone just right.

This is an absolutely beautiful dewy fresh rose. Now powdery in the slightest. I think the matcha just reads stemmy, so I can't pick it out as its own unique note; it just supports the rose perfectly in a green way. The tartness from the tangerine and black currant also bring a gentle brightness to the rose without standing out on their own; they're blended extremely well and are just there to allow the rose to shine.

First few seconds were a super blast of Damask Rose. Totally reminded me of my Acqua di Parma Rose Nobile. But the difference is this one is a bit more well blended and dries down to a skin scent in the first 30 minutes and lasts several hours. I like them both. Kind of wish I could combine them. The sillage of Aqua di Parma and the softer rose of Liis. Maybe a layer??? I'll give it a try and let you know!

@thenoodleboodle yes I agree! I smelled it dewberry right away, it totally took me back! Nice, bright rose. Very light and sits close to the skin, I like a lil more oomph so I won’t get a bottle but I think this would suit someone who wants a modern rose perfume as a skin scent-ie in the office etc. I wish I could pick up on the matcha better cause that would add a more interesting edge.

I get all the notes with this one. The rose is soft and not overpowering. To me, there is some form of rose throughout. I get the citrus and the tea in the middle. The dry down is powdery rose. The dry down lasts for a couple of hours. This would be a good one to wear in an office since the projection is not strong and none of the notes really stand out.

Beautiful, fresh aquatic rose. The tangerine and black currant really sharpen and brighten the rose notes similar to the electric opening of Inflorescence by Byredo. Rose Struck smells like NEON rose. I wish that my nose could pick up more of the matcha, as that's one of my favorite scents and the main reason why I picked up this sample.

This is an interesting scent to me because although it's called rose struck on me the predominant note is tangerine throughout the weartime! I do find this to be a bit too sweet, though perhaps that is because I was expecting a stronger rose scent. Unfortunately I don't get any matcha. Lasted about 4-6 hours on me

59/100 honestly one of the better rose fragrances i’ve tried, and i’ve tried many. it’s simple, not shouting, feminine, clean, cute in a way, innocent id say is a fitting word, i really enjoy it. the sweetness is so...reserved, it’s really not trying too hard, like it knows what it is and and it’s enough.

the tangerine is so yummy! it has a very realistic, slightly green fruity & rose opening. i wish the top notes stuck around longer, but it eventually gives way to a beautiful, fresh, slightly aquatic rose. i can still smell traces over 12 hours later, but other people won't smell it on you after about 6.

It's a nice, fresh rose. I get the comment about Ivory bar soap below - especially if I think about it while I smell it. Otherwise, rose is pretty much all I get from this one. No matcha or currant, maybe the faintest hint of tangerine that plays into the brightness of this rose.

This smells to me sort of like a really delightful, complex rose lemonade. The citrus pulls through in a really unique way and doesn’t fade as the scent wears. This is a rose fragrance that lacks the dustiness that some rose fragrances can have. Very fresh and good for spring!

I've never liked rose scents but I really liked this one. Something about it is more complex, fresh, clean, dewy, and not at all grandma-y. This actually lasted all day on me, and I think if I were to wear floral scents more often I wouldn't mind owning a bottle!

This reminds me soo much of little flower by Régime des Fleurs. It’s like a slightly less complex little sister. The rose, the tart fruit, the tea. Maybe if I had found this first I would’ve gotten it first that’s how close they are. Can’t justify it

Very pretty dewy, fresh, citrusy rose. There’s a touch of fruitiness from the blackcurrant which balances everything out well. It definitely dries down more citrusy, which starts to smell similar to the DNA of Ethereal Wave. Great for any occasion.

Such a pleasant rose. Not intense or old lady. I picture it like a vase of roses in a window with a chilled breeze coming through. Perfect for spring. Its beautiful. I just wished it lasted longer.

This scent is very soft and pretty and wearable. That said, there are similar scents at a much lower price point. I will use up the tester, but this won't be a full bottle purchse.

Very rosy! But in the greatest way - not heady or overly musky, but bright and fresh and a slight soapy undertone (could be the matcha mixing with rose).

i knew i actually liked rose. i get no wine or whatever sharpness/migraineness it is that i usually despise in other rose fragrances.
