Bergamot Loka

I am loving this stuff! I'm a fan of Peter Carter's creations in general (for example his Centauri brand) and personally I really like the way he uses fruity notes in his fragrances. This is a realistic juicy smelling fragrance - certainly citrus, but as the listed notes on the website state, it's also a "juice blend". I think it smells a little of pineapple also. However, what makes it quite unique, as well as adding a lot to the longevity, is the musky, sandalwood, "salty skin" base. This is very enjoyable and adds interest to what would otherwise just be a bright realistic fruit juice smell. As for longevity, I always over-spray on clothes regardless of the scent. This lasts all day when I do that, I think the performance is perfectly good especially given it's a citrus. I find this extremely easy to like and wear, and I think it's outstanding value given it's a completely independent brand. Particularly if you tend to like citrus scents, I'd highly recommend sampling this. I will definitely repurchase once I'm finished my current bottle.

Lovely and addictive summer-centric fragrance from the recently launched Lila Maya Brand. Bergamot Loka opens with a sparkling burst of zesty orange peel (reminiscent of Antoine Lie’s ‘Chypre Azural’ for Les Indemodable). Zesty orange develops into a lovely grapefruit (Pomelo?) note with a fresh and mouthwatering juicy peach, or possibly apricot (?) following closely behind. With it’s gentle, creamy dry-down of soft sandalwood and tonka, and remaining hints of crisp clean orange blossom, this well-crafted blend has an intriguing silage. Great longevity at a very accessible price. Well done! Highly recommend to sample this little beauty.
