Pink

A little bit fruity sweet, but also flowery and light. Pure and delicate and womanly playful. That's the words i get when I'm smelling it. Surly not an offensive smell.

Pink is a light and airy mimosa scent, a bit powdery too. A soft skin-scent with very light lasting power. More suitable for spring and summer, that is for sure.

I went to Bermuda recently and had the good fortune to visit the Lili Bermuda perfumery there. Let me just say that this house is an underrated gem, just like Bermuda, being a non-Caribbean island is an underrated travel destination. I'm not sure if the name Lili Bermuda is getting conflated with Tommy Bahama or Lily Pulitzer but it's nothing like either of those brands. Perhaps it's the brand's very limited distribution that has caused it to fly under my radar before now... Whatever it is, I haven't felt this excited about a niche house since I fell down my L'erbolario rabbit hole in 2022... Getting back to Pink... This tender fruity floral is like nothing else out there and truly smells like the soft breeze on the island in spring, which is when I visited. The notes are cherry blossom adjacent, meaning peony, watermelon, mimosa, and musk are all notes which I have seen used frequently in cherry blossom scents to give them body and dimension, but Pink's perfumer omitted cherry blossom itself, and it works perfectly. That said, if you are a cherry blossom fragrance lover, you will likely enjoy Pink as well because it has a very similar personality. It's fresh, gently sweet, delicate, slightly powdery, mostly smooth transparent floral with a hint of fruitiness, slightly aromatic, and absolutely luminous. I think Pink would work well on a person of any age, and it does not smell generic like a designer scent, though I would say it has a crowd pleasing, accessible quality. It does not come across as juvenile at all but it is innocent and pure. If you're in that mood, please give Pink a chance. Or if you want to know how Bermuda smells in spring.

Pink starts with notes of mimosa, clementine, white and pink peonies, plus a touch of grapefruit. Then, brings notes of water flower and Magnolia to present a smooth wood base, along with pink pepper and laurel leaves. Initially, the alcohol smell is strong but, immediately, a romantic bouquet arises. On my skin, the highlight was the mimosa, almost childlike and innocent, besides fruity nuances and the freshness of the peonies. With the evolution, comes the faint scent of Magnolia, which dances between the citrus and the creamy. Then, the pink pepper, not spicy (contrary to what many think), but floral, ends this soft and youthful bouquet, ideal for warm days. In my opinion, Pink depicts a very mild fragrance, good for those women who don't get along with perfumes of huge projection but don’t give up being fragrant.

This is my favorite for now, a perfect harmony of fruits and flowers, and it contains peony, I can smell it along with the tenderest mimosa. Mimosa is the most detectable on my skin, water melon make it fresh and radiant, just a little bit. Lovely magnolia! After a while I smell peach. I think it's a very good example of how to smell modern and elegant. I don't like peppery flowers, but here pink pepper smells right. ;o)
