Lavender & Wool

Personally, I would call this fragrance Chocolate & Wool. It opens up with this photorealistic dark chocolate note. It is bitter, dark, yet smooth. This chocolate is accompanied by the wool note, not sure where it comes from, but I definitely get it. It kind of feels like an old, a bit dusty wool, but it's comforting and cozy. The lavender is more in the background, but it gives that aromatic, refreshing and sophisticated feel to it. There is some balsam fir too, which is quite weak, but brings that wood cabin smell into the composition. The longevity is at least 10 hours with strong projection which subsides after about 4-5 hours, then it projects moderately. Got to say, I love this one and I am looking forward to owning a bottle at some point in the future. Definitely get some samples, it might not be for everyone. Linda herself sends them out for free, so I recommend contacting her and trying it for yourselves.

I find this one stunning and unique. Blindbought after reading the reviews here. It is what I was expecting - but better! Lavender and chocolate. Cozy, like a warm hug. Not "sexy", more of a comforting and kind scent. But not boring! It is not cloyingly sweet or a gourmand. The opening is beautiful and uplifting. Although it has lavender I think its more feminine leaning. I would say longevity and sillage is moderate. Perfect for the colder seasons. I am planning to cocoon in this during the autumn and winter.

Sadly, most of Landenbergs scents does not suit me. But this one does! This is the lobby of a luxury hotel in a box. It make me imagine myself walking into a lounge with wooden panels while shaking rain from my coat. Sitting down, relaxing, taking something good to drink. Comforting and elegant! Lovely! The scent is a warm lavendel with a touch of black pepper and chocolate. Something more is also there to find, making it fresh. This is a good one!

I bought this last spring, was super impressed but put it away until December (now). This is one of the most glorious winter perfumes I’ve ever smelled. I prefer to shower in it before leaving in the morning- it’s like a sweater and the dry down is heavenly, lasting 8-10 hours. I can’t think of anything it’s similar to- totally unique, dense, elegant and clever. The most elegant lavender....and the chocolate.... Wow.

I smell what Linda Landenberg wanted to express. She writes about it on the packaging. After a frosty walk in the forest you come home into a cozy warm atmosphere. There it smells of chocolate and hot milk. And you still have the scent of lavender in your hair. All this in a completely natural way, a synthetic breath does not reach me in a second. It's beautiful!

This is such a strange and unique scent...I love it!...the lavender and chocolate is prominent with a touch of patchouli...at first you would not think these notes would work together but they do!...definitely unisex...the bottle is gorgeous too...

This is wonderful! It is very cosy but still spicy. And it has a duality between calm and fiery, shifting back and forth between the notes. I can easily pick out the lavendel, the cocoa , cumin and green cardamom. Love this!

This is amazing, its very much chocolate and being wrapped in a wool blanket by the fireplace. But it's not super sweet or very sweet at all, and not in-your-face. I could wear this to any event. One of my new favorites!

Wonderful! Dark chocolate without the calories, but with a warm and beautiful blanket wrapped around it. Well worth all the praises!

This is one of my winter scents because it is basically created for it. Shiny green pine combined with soft lavender (something that lavender is normally not) and warmth of wool, which is simulated by chocolate, milk and cardamom combo. It's unique, intellectual, sophisticated, yet homey. The only reason I am not wearing it more often is because I have this weird feeling as if I am not up to it - like, as if someone more intelligent than me should wear it. The longevity is not phenomenal, but very decent (around 6-8 hours on skin I would say), silage is gentle but noticeable to me and everyone around. Unusual gem very well worth the price, which is quite a rare occurrence as of late.

Going by the reviews I thought this was to be something like SJP's Covet (combining chocolate and lavender). It is not and while it is not, it is still nice, just not as expected. Firstly, this one is definitely a lavender dominant scent, makes up for about 70% of the blend. Secondly, to my suprise, I do not really get chocolate from this but a lavender laden chai (as in milky spicy black tea). With time the lavender goes from aromatic to more plush and velvety. Longevity is a about 3 hrs on me, sillage is probably big initially but calms down after an hour. Totally unisex.

This scent is a wonderful autumn and winter scent. In the beginning, I recognize the note of balsam fir and deep dark John Bauer forests. Almost like a whiff of Labrador tea when you rub the leaves. At the same time, the smell of chocolate and lavender is prominent. After a while a comfy wool and milky and almost licorice-like smells linger for hours. Lovely!

Amazing quality in this lavender bomb, a very well blended scent for winter woollies, lavender, chocolate and cosy all in one :)

I made my 16 year old son smell this and it reminded him of when he and his younger brother experimented with the lavender from our garden years ago making lavender lemonade. The fragrance is well balanced and though you know lavender is in it, it does not smell only like lavender, keeping from overpowering the prominent spices (pepper, cumin) and gourmand notes (milk, chocolate). On the skin it smells best and it projects best from the skin which is probably expected from a more natural perfume. The presentation is classy and full of fantasy. It reminds me a little of A*Men by Thierry Mugler. The lavender could come off as an old lady's perfume though I know lavender is used in many masculine perfumes, but the pepper and other spices make this more youthful. The overall effect is achieved without citrus, sandalwood nor vanilla which I appreciate. It has something comforting and healing in it with all that lavender and chocolate! Sillage is good over several hours.

This is a very cozy scent. I was wondering how the combination of lavender and chocolate would be, it sounds a bit strange, since I often feel that lavender will make a scent a bit more masculine. It was a surprise to me how feminine this is, and the combination of lavender and chocolate works great. This is to me a more fall and winter appropriate perfume,can imagine sitting in front of the fire with a wool blanket and a cup of hot cocoa.Of all the scents from Linda Landenberg this is my favourite.

Omg. I got a sample of this in a savour Sweden order and it literally smells so similar to thin wild mercury sheep meadow from their NYC collection, which I love! That one has a bit more gourmandy oomph whereas this is a bit more herbal but they are definitely sisters. Gorgeous scent, that lavender and chocolate combo! It's verrrry cozy, but easily worn in warmer weather as it isnt heavy. Signature scent worthy for sure.

I wanted to love this.But it’s very odd. It’s a lavender bomb which is great but on my skin there is a rancid coconut note. If anyone has tried raw vegan chocolate like ombar,you will know it. Also it’s so full of naturals it’s thick and green. It irritates my skin but stains fabric. Not a blind buy. It’s extremely unusual

Milk chocolate cardamom flavor... This is more of a milk chocolate blend than lavender. I get fir, cardamom, milk, & chocolate with traces of lavender (if there any). This is kind of gourmand actually, kind of like edible woods! Nice.
