French Clary Sage

Update 3 years later: Firstly, it's important to note that this review is for the EDP, not for the oils that are shown in the photo. Not sure why they use that pic. If you like fresh, clean, relaxed fragrances, try it. This is worth all of (and much more) the $35 you can buy it for on ebay. It's easy to wear and gets a surprising amout of compliments for being so light natured. As I wear it throughout my day, if gently whafts up around me. Uhhhhhh!!! I love it!!! It makes me think of Molecule 1. Not in smell but in the way that it illusively comes and goes at it pleases, often only getting the attention of others around you, while you often forget you even sprayed it on. They longevity is outstanding. Undoubtedly a 100% unisex aquatic with a hint of fennel seed. I'm guessing that's the flax but I'm not ultra familiar with what flax smells like. I still don't know why this seems to have gone unnoticed in the Fragrantica world. It truly is a gem.

Lasts on my skin for at least 12 hours. A light fragrance in nature but it projects a little and definitely lasts. Smells clean and cottony with a tiny hint of floral. It doesn't knock my socks off personally but my co-workers sure love it. I'm surprised at the compliments I've gotten.

Clean, delicately fresh, very light and almost soothing. Not (baby) powdery, but not crisp either... I don’t know what flax smells like, but that nuttiness rounds everything into such a smoothness. I don’t smell the freesia very much.

I love the scent of Clary Sage essential oil so I had high expectations for the Morning and Bedtime versions of these from Lisa Hoffman. These were a rip-off, almost without scent. Save your money. If you want Clary Sage, buy the essential oil and not these overly expensive tiny bottles of nondescript nada oil.
