Curve Chill

Found a mini of this for $4.99 at TJ Maxx. I'm very neutral on this scent. It's a fresh blast of spice, which is pleasant and certainly not offensive in any way, but I just can't get excited about it. I'm wearing it today on an overcast, cool summer day and have given myself about 6 sprays. For me, after two hours, it's quite close to the skin. I catch subtle whiffs of it now and again, and while nice, it's just kind of "there." I will certainly use up the bottle but probably won't purchase again. That said, for this price, I would certainly try more Crush varieties. You just never know when a scent is going to hit you just right and make your day! EDIT: A couple of weeks later: Curve Chill, I owe you an apology. You're such a sweet little unassuming thing, and I should've given you more of a chance. My mini is almost used up. I am now excited by you and will purchase this again. You don't shout from the rooftops but wow, are you cozy, spicy and fresh! My daughter came down the steps wearing this the other day and I couldn't believe the lovely sillage that followed her. Now I need to hunt down the other Curve varieties. This one was an inexpensive hidden treasure. My lesson is: give a scent more than one chance to make an impression!

I like to keep this somewhere cool in the warm months. I wasn't sure about the ginger and tea note combo but it really works here. A lovely warm, dry, herbally freshness. There is nothing harsh or sharp here. I guess I could liken it to the smell of recently dried flowers and herbs. A nice everyday or casual fragrance that would be hard to offend anyone. I'd say it was unisex. For an edt the longevity and sillage are pretty good. A bargain price to.

The tea-ginger-lemon top differentiates this from a million nondescript laundry-scent soapy department store florals, which makes this one of my favorites among the aforementioned nondescript florals I have smelled so far. I can see why so many people have left negative reviews, though: if you're in the market for a sweet-all-the-way-down TJ Maxx fragrance, you should try before you buy here. The heart and soul of this is still a simple soap-powder floral — you will not smell at all like actual tea wearing this — but those green tea and ginger top notes do give it a pleasant edge. On me, I can easily sense the crisp lemon and the aromatic accord that can be construed as green tea if you squint. I get only the tiniest hint of the warmth of ginger in the back of my throat. I love the drydown of this, when that 90s floral musk finally calms down and lets the whispers of ginger and vetiver shine in a slightly powdery haze. That semi-sweet crispness really is my favorite thing about this fragrance. It makes me think of bees flying along in search of pollen, low to the ground, surrounded by grass and roots and the odd flower. I'd love to smell a fragrance that's more of this, without all of the opening powder and musk. I'm not someone who likes linear musky-soapy florals — I find them boring and headachey, and this is no exception — but this one tempts me. If the first couple of musky hours didn't give me a headache, I would like it. If you're into these sorts of scents but long for something a tiny bit different, try this. This could be a signature for sure.

I blind bought this off of eBay for $7 for 1.7 oz, so figured I couldn't go wrong even if I wasn't really a fan. I was worried about the ginger smell being too strong, but it's not overpowering AT ALL. In fact, the tea smell is the strongest on me and it's actually so different from anything I've smelled. It smells like a black and green tea blend...not very strong green or black, but somewhere in the middle (and not really oolong either). I have to agree with the reviewer who said that it reminds them of Lipton tea with lemon. I don't get as much lemon as I get tea, cedar, and freesia, but still detectable (just as detectable as the ginger, which seems to fall into the background after a handful of minutes). I have to disagree with someone who said this smelled like a household cleaner. I'd probably be tempted to spray myself with said household cleaner if it smelled like this! Works very well with my chemistry. I actually LOVE this.

A beautifully soft musky tea scent with some ginger and lemon. I find the ginger to be very soft in this, not astringent. I often step back when I see ginger is in a composition because it can be too much on my skin, which seems to amplify it, but I can get away with a handful of fragrances with ginger in it. This is one of them. It's almost like a ginger-flavored candy it's so soft. I am the same person as ThisIsOurBlanket (couldn't find a way to delete that account). I still stand by the idea that this smells like a black/green-tea blend, almost like Lipton black tea, with some light milk, sugar, and lemon. There is that musky Curve vibe that is present in this, which makes it suitable for working out or something active. This also lasts a whole day on me, which is surprising given that it's a tea scent and it's very cheap!

Kinda like CKOne with green tea added. Simple, light, refreshing and sweet, great for summer. Not terribly long-lasting or original, but pleasant. It's a Curve perfume, so it's good for the price. Later note: to be a bit more specific, comes across to me like a citrus-aquatic-green floral, with a bit of green tea. A bit of powder from cedar. The vetiver at the base is strong enough to pick out, slightly bitter in this case, but the bitterness faint enough to make this quite wearable. My nose does not get any ginger, nor could I tell you what the green floral notes are, only that they are there and are sweet and pretty. It's a nice green tea frag, I recommend.

After disliking Curve Crush so much, I was hesitant to try another Curve perfume, but after reading the reviews here, I decided to give this one a try. I'm so glad I did. I agree with everything that mwater1 said. The citrus and green tea top notes are bright and refreshing, and it certainly does turn into a cheerful, fun floral with a very clean dry down. This certainly is great for daytime wear, or for anytime you need a mood-brightener.

Male review: Initial intense rose,ginger,minty eucalyptus lemony explosion that `stings` the senses and open the airways that eventually leads into a strong flowery powder drydown. It is a very common fragrance/smell but it keeps that fresh slight minty-tea top note that makes it unique.

I rather like Curve Chill. I like the tea and citrus beginning of it, reminds me of Lipton Tea with Lemon. The scent lingers and turns into a fun and fruity floral. The fragrance is perfectly suited for a casual outing.

Smells like candied ginger to me. Curve Chill is more spicy woody than it is fruity floral. Lasting power and projection is good. Curve Chill is the perfect fragrance for cool and casual days.

A fresh, herbal floral, somewhat vintage. There is a big resemblance to Charlie white. I like it a lot.

Very lemony unsweetened tea with a hint of ginger, like it but don't love it, got it at a very affordable price, for those very hot days that you want to refresh yourself without something sweet, don't last long, but I don't mind reapplying, a step up from a body spray.

This will not be a pleasant review. If you are only satisfied with positive reviews, in loo of honest opinion, this is not the review for you. Please scroll, and don't troll. It took three, yes three, perfumers to produce this disaster. How bad is it, you may ask? I couldn't sell it for any price on eBay. I tried to give it away, and still no. People's reaction to this is shocked horror. Need a picture? Think of any blonde's expression in a Hitchcock production. I look at the list of ingredients like I'm looking at a line up! Ginger looks really guilty, and so does vetiver. You have this lovely floral chorus, so cohesively radiant, and then you add in exotically pungent ginger, and uric vetiver?! Three folks; three made that decision. It really is provocatively bad! This has become the Old Maid in my collection.

Starts spicy, almost masculine because of the ginger, then turns into household cleanser as the lemon comes through. A little too crisp and clean for my taste. Reminds me of the generic preppy scents of the 90s: unisex, outdoorsy, and inoffensive.

Smells alot like CK One. It probably would have been better if the green tea was taken out. I didn't really care for it so I gave it to my Mom.

Whenever I use to wear this fragrance my nose would tingle so much followed by sneeze attack. For those reasons, I do not recommend. Might be the ginger.

Upon first spray, it’s not that great, it’s kinda sharp and bitter smelling. But just wait! In about 10 minutes you get a really pretty scent. You get a very nice woody musky floral scent with a hint of spice. I don’t have an expert nose for perfumes but I do think this is kinda complex for a “cheapie” scent. Great for summer, but I’m not the kind of person who restricts fragrances to certain seasons; I’d wear it anytime. I wore this for the first time in 2006, 7th grade. So it’s nostalgic for me. Super affordable too. However I don’t recommend this as a blind buy.

I was gifted a Liz Claiborne perfume set as a teen and this was my favorite out of all of them. It is very reminiscent of iced tea; very fresh. I remember liking Hawaiian Ginger by Calgon at the time and the ginger in this reminded me of it. This is not a date night scent, but it's office friendly and good for daily wear. I like to have scents like these on hand for when I am sick of heavy or gourmand perfumes and want something refreshing.

I love this one. It's one of my oldest perfumes. I think I got this when I was somewhere around 14...10 years later I still like the occasional spritz of this stuff. It's got both fresh and warm components. The drydown is so nice...so woody and clean and cheery. I can wear it any time of year without feeling overpowered. I will definitely repurchase this again when I run out, and it's so inexpensive that there's no excuse not to :)

A fresh, sweet tea with some spice, light fruit notes and watery florals. Very clean and refreshing, not a smoky tea but an iced tea. Has some of that 90s musk in the dry down. Lasts pretty well, good for work or casual wear during the day time in hot weather. Not too strong or cloying so its especially good for the heat. The ginger isn't too masculine but like ginger ale, sort of sparkling in the top notes.
