Curve

This is a perfume I've been curious about not for years, but decades. I've just never tested it or bought it until now. It opens beautifully, but freshly, and utterly youthfully. Not maybe this generation's youth, but as a Millennial, mine. It's cleanly floral, aquatic, with just the right amount of sweetness. A burst of juicy fruits and citruses, it's basically impossible to tell what is what. It's just a blend. It settles into a lovely, nearly violet-y peony. That's weird to say, but it has a gentle powdery quality. Something about it makes me feel hopeful, yet it also smells nearly of naivety. It feels somehow blue, and I find it congruent with the bottle's color. Ultimately, the base is so well blended and soft, it's difficult to know what's happening beside the fact that it's a plushy, clean, sandalwoody pillow of feminine woods. It ties in gorgeously alongside the florals, and feels comforting, yet also substantial. It lasts impressively well for a fresh fragrance. And even hours later, there is a hint of juice even among the powderiness. This makes me think it would be best worn in summer, I suspect it would sing in the heat. This is an example as to how fragrance can significantly ping on your heart...because I smell this and have a nebulous, but meaningful emotion of wistfulness and nostalgia, despite never wearing it myself. It smells like the 90s, and I'm so happy that it does 🥰

I smelled this at a small shop once and was totally enraptured by the smell. I realize now that what I had smelled was basically the note of lily of the valley, which I have recognized now as one of my absolute favourite scents. Yes, this is the womens' Curve and leans somewhat feminine due to the white florals, but I think it can in fact be unisex. I smell a lot of heavy note of lily of the valley mixed with jasmine, along with hints of lemon and lavender and some sort of fruits (I think peach and blackberry). The lily of the valley here is ethereal, mystical, and reminds me of a melancholy lagoon for some reason. It has moderate leaning strong sillage and longevity on my skin. Overall this is an extremely pleasant white floral perfume which I enjoy even though I'm a male. I actually wore this to a movie theatre one time and now it reminds me always of good movies and storytelling. 4.5/5

Curve is just a perfectly lovely, casual and clean perfume, without the prices of larger names on the market. It is cheap, cheerful and possesses both a respectable longevity and sillage. Grapefruit and mandarin take on the tangy top notes, followed closely by blackberry and peony tart loveliness. Soapy notes move in towards the heart in the form of lily of the valley and cyclamen. Wood notes in the base are whispers of melodies, and never aggressively consume the dry down, like others seem to. This is the lighter, airier, younger sister of brassy, yet beautiful Jessica McClintock. So if the latter is too profoundly saturated in florality, Curve will offer a more gentle option.

This was my first perfume. My cousin gave me a small sample bottle when I was eleven years old. I thought it was the most glamorous thing in the world! This perfume will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first and brings back memories of youth. I think this is a wonderful fragrance. On my skin it is fresh floral. It smells like flowers but not overwhelmingly so - there is something fresh about this fragrance. You can wear this anywhere and anytime - to work or school or out at night and it works for all seasons, especially summer.

This was a favorite of mine in the late nineties, when I first started teaching. I purchased it because I thought it would be a great work scent and I was right. It was perfect. Loved it! I may want to revisit it again as I'm thinking about it and don't have anything quite like it in my collection. Also, I'm growing a fondness for musky-florals. I remember this to be one, with some added fruit mixed in subtly.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned but this smells a lot like Dior Blooming Bouquet to me. It’s really nice. I blind bought some older fragrances recently that are more fresh and clean and this was my favorite. It’s not available where I live so I’d never tried it. It doesn’t smell dated at all. Really nice and fresh!

Wow this is gorgeous. Opens up with sharp green, stems, leaves and all. Softens into a floral bouquet of delight. Smells fresh, clean and never loses that citrus zing. Wearing this while I'm preparing for Christmas, makes me feel alive and happy. It's Christmas Eve in Oz... Merry Christmas Everyone!!

This was my the first perfume that I used to wear in my younger years. It’s such a beautiful creamy feminine floral. I just bought a bottle at a very affordable price and it’s just as lovely as I remembered. There’s No synthetic sweetness or generic fruitiness going on here .

So similar to Happy, yet I prefer Curve. Happy is sunshine and Curve is fog. Each a mood and cheap retro fun (try it with Guava Snapple®️ and your favorite CD playing on your Sony®️ discmanTM️)

I've been hooked on this since it first came out. it's far from boring! it's a fresh, watery sort of floral without being a headache-inducing "white" floral.

I remember wearing this in the late 90s. I used a whole bottle. Gonna have to go buy one and see if I still like it! I remember it being a night time scent.

my husband (boyfriend then) giftes me this 9 years. ago and until now, i find it so classy. not overpowering and a really clean smell.

I have been wearing this fragrance for almost 14 years now. It never gets old or goes out of style in my eyes.

I wore Curve to my senior prom guys, lol! I decided to purchase Curve because it was a newer fragrance at the time, and it had a male fragrance counterpart. I wanted my fragrance and my prom date's fragrance to be from the same house--so I purchased Liz Claiborne's Curve for the both of us. To be honest, I thought Curve for Women was just 'ok' at the time; but I loved Curve for Men, which was the newest release of the two. I thought Curve for Men was absolutely fantastic! Fast forward to today, I recently picked up Curve for Women a few months ago. I wanted to try it out again, since it had been many years since it had been a part of my collection. Curve for Women is my scent of the day, and I am loving it! It is floral and fresh. It is also a mood enhancer--I can't stop smelling my wrist. It has great longevity--I sprayed it over 3.5 hours ago and it is still going strong! To my nose it is not a powerhouse, yet--it subtly let's others know that you are present. It other words, it projects well, perfect for my tastes. I can smell Curve for Women all around me! Most of the notes listed above, I can detect very well. Upon first spray through the dry down-- you get the citrus, flowers, and musk, which are the main components of Curve. This fragrance is perfect for most daily activities. Let this be an example for you collectors out there to be open to re-visit those fragrances that you previously did not care for. Things change. Noses change. This is the type of fragrance that I like now, as I have entered my forties. A nice break from the vanillas and cotton candies of today. Curve for Women is for the detail-oriented, confident, and feminine woman of any age. Like many other fragrances from the House of Liz Claiborne, this fragrance does not smell dated, but I do not believe this to be a safe blind buy.

I really appreciate this scent, especially because even with all the citruses, my elderly bottle smells the same as when I bought it. Were you a fan of the backrooms movie? Do you want to smell simultaneously like a freshly fabreezed office cubicle in 1998, a mean cheerleader, an oddly nostalgic and yet unidentified maternal figure (pediatrician?, moms friend at a pampered chef tupperware party circa 2007?, your preschool teachers aide? Well curve is for you. I mean this with love but this is just so “perfume” like a stock photo when you google fragrance. I didn’t know it when I bought it, but I’ve experienced this scent many times. I was born in 2004 in rural Ohio and this was everywhere. I originally wanted it because it was mentioned in a John Green book, I’m pretty sure I used the money I got for getting good grades on my report card to get a mini bottle from Walmart. In the book it was described as blackberry bubblegum. I do understand that because bubblicious gum does have some sour twang to it similar to the punch of citrus you get in the opening of this scent. This perfume to me is really not something I would reach for often, but it is so inexplicably nostalgic to me I have to keep it in my collection. It’s almost bittersweet how optimistic this perfume is, like how everyone misses the 90s and doc martens and real grunge music, and my generation didn’t even get a taste

I think Starlight-Girl's review of this perfume is way off track! Curve smells absolutely nothing like horrible chemicals, baby powder gone bad or soap. Curve Crush smells like baby powder; Curve doesn't even smell remotely like it! Curve is a very nice, light and clean smelling floral. Usually I'm not a big fan of floral scents but I like Curve a lot. It's not a run of the mill, ordinary floral and I think it's much better than more well known ones like Estee Lauder Pleasures (YUCK!!) which tend to be boring, bland and far more generic smelling. The main note in Curve which I detect is lily-of-the-valley which I really like. It's a great perfume for everyday wear and men seem to really love it, probably because it's light and very feminine. The other plus points are that it's very reasonably priced and has great staying power so all in all it's a really great scent.

Im not sure if i got a vintage bottle, but wow!! I really enjoyed this perfume, as well as the glittery body lotion. To me, this frag is the teen sister to Pleasures by Estee Lauder. I really did enjoy it more in the dry down since it was powdery. However i didn't pick up any citrus notes, BUT WOW!!! The heavy-ness of the the florals, carries the scent until it dies down about 2 - 3 hours later. Not the longest life on skin, but it does smell good the next day on your clothes. :) Also this is strictly a summer frag for me. Not only because I can freely over apply it, since its an EDT, but also the price point is quite fitting. And I also have an addiction to the tin packaging. Used between May and July of 2024.

Somehow I came into possession of a tiny bottle of the perfume version of this fragrance in my collection. I'm not sure how that happened, but I really love it. So, I ordered a larger bottle of the toilette. It's just a lovely, feel-good, fruity/floral fragrance that makes me feel pretty. My best friend wore this in the 1990's, and she died a few months ago. We had been best friends since we were both 12 years old. She was only 43 when she died. When I wear this, a little bit of her is alive again, and we're both still teenagers. I wear this when I want to seem young, lighthearted and agreeable, and when I want to remember my dear friend Autumn.

A fresh/citrus-fruity/slightly woody/musky floral that is great for summer when you're running around getting sweaty doing errands and chores, or the middle of winter when you're stuck home in a blizzard wishing you were on vacation somewhere. Reminds me a lot of Elizabeth Arden's Pretty, only Curve is somewhat "jammier" due to the berry, which Pretty lacks. Very light to begin with so not pronounced at all at drydown. Projection is light, doesn't leave much of a trail at all. Kind of a pick me up feel good fragrance, very comfortable to wear, but I want to use a lot of it as it's so light.

Decided to go down on memory lane and give this review. I remember this fragrance. Haven't used this one since I was a kid. My parents used Curve as well. It's been so long that I can vaguely remember what the scent smell like, but I'll say that it's definitely something you could wear in the daytime or to casual outings. The color and design of the bottle make me think of spring and summer. I had also used the purple Curve before. Funny how people are saying in their reviews that Curve smells like Estee Lauder's Pleasures. That was another fragrance I had also used as a kid. haha.

I wore this my first year of college back in 1998-99...ah memories... I was not into perfumes nearly as much as now, so I must have wore this everywhere. It was probably one of two perfumes I owned, Egyptian musk being the other. I think I wore it all the time,night or day, casual or dressup....I'll have to get a bottle again and reminisce. I remember thinking it was sexy back in the day, but who knows now, people change and so do their tastes. I'll give a few words that describe how I remember it. Crisp, fresh, bold,and flirty.

Super bright and potent citrus floral bomb. This is a very fresh (but not in the aquatic sense) and green scent, and its florals remind me of Esteé Lauder's Pleasures. I really like this for when I'm feeling sporty and casual and it feels very energizing, and with just a couple of sprays it's quite alright for daily wear and for work, and especially when I don't feel like using anything sweet at all. I find it quite screechy at first but it then settles nicely into a fresh green floral.

Review of the body mist: This is pleasant. A soft, lightweight, summery scent. Reminiscent of sunscreen, but just slightly fruity. The blackberry note comes across more like grapes. Soft and aquatic, not at all "tangy" like I expected it to be. It's a lot like Curious by Britney Spears, but without any sweetness. I see why this has mass appeal - I think very few people would be offended by the scent. It's ideal for office wear.

I bought this last year as a Summer fragrance and used the whole bottle! Very nice for work although not deep enough for nighttime wear. I had a few compliments when wearing "Curve" although don't know whether I liked it enough to buy another bottle. I like to ring the changes with my fragrances although I have stuck to a few "old timers"! It lasted well on my mature skin and I didn't think it was too young for an older lady!

It starts as fresh fruit with a touch of floral...blackberry, grapefruit, peach, mandarin, ylang ylang. Then, lily of the valley slides in and it becomes a fresh bouquet of flowers with an aquatic overtone. I never get much of a base at all, other than musk, so can't comment on those notes. Longlasting and powerful enough to project. It's hard not to like. Overall, positively FRESH!

Ahhh Curve by Liz Claiborne my cassic high school scent. Fresh and clean. I went through about 3 bottles of this in high school and now my 4th bottle sits half full in my collection and goes untouched. I think I wore this so much in my teen years that i've grown bored with it. This one is very nostalogic for me, but my days of wearing it are over.

I'm wearing this today as its a good "office" perfume. Friendly and soft with a lovely fruity powdery drydown which is warm and inviting. It lasts a long time on me and after a few sprays in the morning I can still smell it on my wrist when I leave work! Smells peachy on me with a waft of white flowers - very tasty!

From a guys perspective: One of my co-workers wore this a couple of years back. I could smell it on her from about a foot or two away, and guess what? I was smitten lol. leaves a cloud of sexyness its its wake. It didn't hurt that she was really attractive too of course :P .

Given the barest misting spray, this easily compares with several fresh bluish frags for men. Used thus, it is absolutely unisex. If you go heavy on the nozzle, the feminine watery florals leap out immediately (but it still dries down to something wearable by a male).

I should love this according to the notes, but I find this to be a very generic safe floral. I like it, but I don't love it. I smell a blend of florals and a tiny bit of wood. Very cool and clean. I think this is suitable for most occasions but nothing special.

I bought this fragrance online after reading a few suggestions.....which was a mistake as I found nothing special or long- lasting in it. A nice everyday smell, though , which seems to evaporate after 5 minutes or so....hopefully I'll be more lucky next time.

After testing this again because I loved it as a teenager, I am going to say......there have been a lot of reformulations or my adult nose has 100% changed. It smells ok but nowhere near the love I used to have for it. *boo*

Bought because of the reviews and received yesterday, smells exactly like Beyond Paradise from Estée Lauder to me? Am going to wear it today to see what it’s like, quite sharp on first sniff, nothing like Happy to my nose.

Grapefruit, citrusy smell. Does not last, like at all. BUT, its such a fresh, light scent it's not like you can go wrong? Definitely paired with another fragrance it could be elevated.

a sweet floral that gets a little more screechy and sharp like orchids with tons of magnolia in the top then peony, freesia, rose and white musk; not really fruity; pretty and likeable

Starts out fresh and citrusy then quickly becomes all rose. Not a bad thing, but that's how it is on me. Found this at Ross for $7 and had to get it to take me back to the early 2000s!

I feel like all the girls who did the "hair scrunch" gel trick in the noughts wore this. I know Curve came out in the 90's, but I was smelling this in the middle school hallways in 2002-03. Now I know what I was smelling back then, since I bought this myself recently... but I don't care for it, and I didn't back then. Kind of a hairspray-ish floral. It has such a safe, bubble-bathy profile; Noa by Cacharel is way more interesting, as far as that goes. I got Curve because I'm desperate to find a 90's freshie-type that my husband liked, but can't remember what it is. Curve ain't it, he says, lol.

I am currently nauseous from trying this one 5-10 min. ago... even though I washed it off right away. (I really wish I was joking. :( It was on my list to try and earlier I already tried it's other brother and sister Curve Crush and Lucky You. Blechhhk :( so sick. I should have known better but I akin it to, having to take your medicine. It was on my list. I had to try it at least once before tossing it JUST IN CASE it was good. Yea... taking horrible medicine. I knew I didn't want to... I was afraid to... cringing.. but made myself anyway. Ok onto better things. :) (and some pepto. :) This smells like = Horrible chemicals, baby powder gone bad, and soap. :( Not a good experience. Oh yea... I showed it to another family member as I was trying them to see if it was me... by the time I showed her this one tonight... she made a horrible face, and angrily said, "Would you stop showing me the ugly ones?!" ~ sorry. :( eeks... sorry curve. :( Not fun. Next. :) Did we ever like these? I never had these ones. I am now glad I didn't. Isn't perfume supposed to make you feel happy and smell good? Why do they make ones that make you sick? Everyone I showed cringed on these and gagged. So frustrating. :( Also maybe I am allergic I don't know. not fun. Anyway... Too bad I don't know anyone who loves it, I would give them 3 free bottles of perfume lol. they are small anyway. Oh well. :)

Too many cooks spoil the soup, and I think in Curve's case, too many notes spoil the scent--blase, "safe" notes at that. Layering truckloads of citrus doesn't necessarily equal a fun, youthful, spirited--or unique--scent. I have owned drug store Calgon body sprays that had more personality. The initial green apple and lemon notes are wonderful, however. It's just a shame they had to share a stage with such mediocrity!

When I first sprayed this on, I didn't mind it. It was light, not too sweet, and the floral notes stood out nicely. Now that it has dried down, I have to say this is a hard pass for me. There is something in it that turns almost to a melon note on me. It is a little nauseating.

Why did I actually wear this for awhile when I was a teenager? Even thinking about it now makes me want to sneeze. On the plus side, the men's version brings back fond memories of all those cute high school boys...

Hmm.... Very 90’s! It’s not unpleasant, but just feels out dated & not unique enough for me. Also not a good adult perfume. For me it’s very much a teenager smell. I would not recommend it.

This scent was my signature in high school, and it always smelled so fresh on me. Unfortunately, my chemistry changed a few years later and it now smells like straight alcohol on me :(

For the people saying they used to love the scent and now they don't know why they don't like it or they don't remember it smelling like it smells now... THIS HAS BEEN REFORMULATED, along with all of Liz Claiborne's amazing scentcreations! Years ago, when Liz Claiborne sold her company to Elizabeth Arden, Elizabeth Arden reformulated every scent, so unless you have a vintage bottle that says Liz Claiborne ON the bottle OR on the bottom (and the "juice" hasn't turned), then the fragrance you're smelling today is absolutely NOT the same scent you remember from years ago! No, your nose isn't playing a trick on you! If you bought a bottle of Curve Crush by Liz Claiborne (rose pink bottle) and thought the same thing about that one too, that's why! 🥺😭

Curve has been in my perfume stash for years, and I probably will always have a bottle of it! I got my first gift set when I was in Jr. High around 1997, and have had different bottles ever since. Curve is fresh, crisp, and a little on the sporty side. I do not perceive it as particularly flowery, just fresh and clean. Wearable year round, but seems to fit best for summer. Don't let the note list on here fool you, this is not woody smelling or overly flowery at all. It is a good staple for your collection, a good go-to scent with others may seem to heavy and you just want to smell peppy and fresh! Affordability and Availability: 5/5 Versatility: 4/5 Longevity: 4+ hours on skin, 5+ hours on clothes easily.

Curve is a special and nostalgic fragrance to me, as it was one of my very first perfume loves in the late 1990s. It's a bright, cheerful lily-of-the-valley floral. I also can clearly pick up the freesia and the peony. Timeless, as my tastes have grown and changed a ton, and yet to me it still smells lovely and not dated 20 years later. Keep in mind what's left of my bottle is from 2004! I am sure this fragrance has been reformulated to death in recent years. So would I buy a brand new bottle of Curve today? Probably not. But back in the day, this sure was a beautiful "workhorse" of a fragrance, good for wearing to the office, the classroom, or on a date.

Curve has a bunch of lily of the valley and freesia -- a fresh, green, white floral -- especially up top, and there's a note that makes it somewhat sharp, green, or almost smoky, as well. While I like green notes in perfume, I'm not nuts about this one; I find it similar to the note in JLo Glow that is almost solvent-like and is completely off-putting to me in Glow. Curve is not off-putting, though; it's just not a love for me. For inexpensive lily of the valley (and honeysuckle) fragrances, I prefer Paul Sebastian Casual or Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl (with those fresh tea and rose notes, too). Passing this one on to my daughter or step-daughter.

I've got this fragrance as a 5ml miniature,wich was a part of miniature gift set.I was very sceptical.When I first sniffed this one,the first thought in my head was:What is that?...It was like a cacophony of notes,like a splash of alchohol and I couldn't define any aroma at all.Anyway I decide to give a try and I sprayed it before I go out for my shopping. A couple of hours later I was standing in the store and suddenly my nose catched divine,noble,aristocratic,very well done odor.I was wondering who is the owner of this loveliness and desperately was trying to identify it.I realised there is nobody except me.And that odor was Curve :)))

This perfume really is just awesome. It was my first perfume ever and I'll always love it for that reason. I grew up with it and it hasn't changed a bit over the years, it's extremely soft and so pretty. Fruity but not like strawberries, more like fruits you'd find on the beach, if they did grow there. Reminds me of the ocean air with perfumed starfish, if that did exist ;) I think it's suitable for all ages because I've always worn it and never felt out of place, my mom has always worn it as well ever since I can remember and we both still love it.
