Cup

echoing the cabin comment below: I purchased this fragrance because it reminded me exactly of visiting my friends' cabins up north in michigan - not fancy lake houses, but cabins that have been passed down from grandparents. the walls are wooden and slightly damp from the constant humidity, you're surrounded by tall pines and birches, blankets are dusty as you pull them from the closet for the bunk bed, the kettle whistles from the heavy old stove. medicinal. heavy on the tea and galbanum. hits you in the back of the throat. edging on a whiskey sensation. I feel as though if this fragrance fell into different perfumer hands there would be an abundance of cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise - liza instead makes us feel as though we are swimming through the teacup or simmering pot ourselves. diluted (that's not a negative!) and damp. more of a tincture. I hold this scent very close to my heart - it's rare to find something this magical.

New England, early Autumn at the lake, waking up early, heading down to this dock alone with a cup of warm tea, fallen fir needles underfoot, steam rising from the cup, watching the sunrise..... I absolutely love this, & ditto for Stone by Liza Pittard. I hope she keeps creating, because the fragrances she makes are truly special.

This perfume is ann incredibly nostalgic smell for everyone I’ve shared it with! Upon spraying the black spruce and spice hit first, with a dusty incense finish that mellows in to the sweetness of the mandarin. For me, it evokes memories of the cozy outdated dentist office I went to as a kid. My girlfriend said it reminded her of the smell of the froyo shop she worked at in highschool, another friend said it reminded her of getting in her dads truck in the morning before school, cold air mixed with menthol cigarette. I blind bought this and I’m really glad I did! I will definitely be wearing this all winter

Perhapsss as a candle or home scent, but not a personal fragrance for me. It is a kind of aggressively spiced and needley spruce combo which overpowers just about everything else in its path. There is a depth and smokiness to “Cup” that doesn’t appeal to me unfortunately. I wanted something more subtle and soft.

a cabin comes to mind. its the fall time. its light yet spiced. dry. tea with zero sugar or honey or sweetness. tea for healing not necessarily for flavor..... very unique but nostalgic as well... i love this
