Cerisier Papillon

I love the fruitiness of this fragrance. It instantly cheers me up and feels very youthful and bright. I'm glad I could snag it before it was discontinued. I like this one even more than the regular Cherry Blossom scent, even though the two are very similar.

Definitely woody and fresh. Not very floral. As with all L'Occitane fragrances, it is not a complex one. Poor sillage and longevity, in line with expectations of an eau de toilette marketed as "natural". Only suitable for sunny spring and summer days. It was a gift and I used it up entirely during the warm season but I wouldn't purchase. It would make a wonderful gift for a girl in her teens or early twenties.

This fragance made me go back to my childhood. Great memories, i fell calm and confortable.. I prefer this than the original!

Nice, fresh, delicate fruity-floral. But not very surprising.

I am l'Occitane's fan, but this one dosen't make me say wow! Yes it is nice and pleasant, but i found it a bit watered down. Like a chemical raspberry syrup. Very plastic smell to my nose. And that surprised me, because usually L'Occitaine doesn't smell plastically at all. But maybe it's my skin. I will not buy that one for sure!

Could someone please compare this to the other cherry-themed offerings from L'Occitane, e.g. Cherry Blossom, and Cherry Blossom Princess? I know there have been others but they might be more difficult to track down since they are likely discontinued. Thanks! Update: So Cherry Princess seems to have come and gone, but I was able to do a side by side comparison of Spring Cherry and Cherry Blossom at a L'Occitane boutique yesterday. The differece is that Spring Cherry has a fresh distinct citrus in the top note, Cherry Blossom does not. They are both nice, but I think Cherry Blossom is fine as is, and really has no need to go in the citrus direction. That said,the manager told me that Spring Cherry is going to be around for a short while, so if you're already a Cherry Blossom fan, and would like to do a comparison for yourself, now's the time!

I wore this when I started uni. It was a gentle, wallflower of a perfume. Subtle and innocent, I can't really say anything negative about it. It doesn't have massive sillage or longevity, but it really doesn't need to. I would definitely recommend this for a young girl, it's a good girl frag that won't soil your reputation (When I wanted to do that I reached for lush's lust). When it comes to the notes, I didn't really get cherry in the opening (or at any point in its develoment), the tart raspberry really dominates. Bay leaf adds a nice peppery character (and persists past the opening) and the rose really is the main feature. It's soft, a little tart. The woods in the drydown are nondescript.

I really like L'occitane perfumes they are the house that I own the most perfumes from, so when I went in to the store I was pretty set on buying Cerisier Papillion. I'm sad to say I was pretty disappointed it didn't have anything interesting about it . CP smelled good sweet cherries and roses but it wasn't anything I felt like I needed to have. If anyone else has the chance to smell this I would suggest that you should take the time to check it out. Hopefully someone will like it a lot more than I did. I'm pretty sure I will give this a couple of more tries to see if opinion will change....

There is definetely citrus note should be present here above, Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre has it all put together for spring too.
