Fleur d’Or & Acacia

Finally, I've found the fragrance that can replace my old flame: Kenzo Summer. I was really upset when it was discontinued. This is a sweeter, non-almond version of Kenzo Summer. Kenzo Summer was the perfect blend of almonds and mimosas while this one is the perfect blend of acacia flowers and mimosas. The final result is sweet positive energy under a heart warming autumn sun composed of yellow florals. Citrusy notes also freshen the honeyed sweetness of the flowers. Perfect for everyday office wear.. It's sillage is also okay with a medium longevity. A must try for all the mimosa lovers who like clean, powdery, romantic fragrances.

It was love at first sniff. Unfortunately I dropped and broke the full bottle 3 days after buying it. I couldn't afford buying a new one, and shortly after it discontinued. Since then I couldn't find an amazing floral scent like this one. It was literally heavenly. Not exaggerating. I wonder why brands stop producing their best products and try to replace them with some shit? I'm begging you l'occitane, please bring it back. I swear I will stock it for a lifetime!

Hello, There is an acacia in the garden of my parents' house (I was born in Eastern France, in the Alps) and I can assure you that the smell is the same as the tree when it bloomed. This perfume reminds me of my childhood. The scent is not chemical or alcohol, and it lasts on my skin. If it smells the alcohol is because it's outdated. (Sorry for my very bad english).

This is my all time favorite fragrance I still remember the first time I sprayed this perfume the feeling it gave me was unforgettable I remember panicking when the sales associate told me it was discontinued luckily I found a few in La Roca Village Shopping Outlet in Barcelona I wish to hand it one day to my daughter 💛

Every February is Mimosa (yellow Acacia) season where I live. I've had this perfume since it came out, which is 8 years now. I didn't know Acacia is mimosa. That's how much this smells realistic. Otherwise an amazing perfume. But what the heck with the name, it bears no resemblance.

I looooove this perfume, If only it would last longer and had better sillage It would be my signture fragance. I have been trying to find a replacement for my favorite, Kenzo Amour Florale, my heart breaks now that I know this one too will be discontinued

This is the best springy scent with out the sneezes! Compleatly delightful and cheerful scent. I get bunches of yellow flowers and honey. Nothing sickly sweet about this one. Very pleasent for daily use - happiness in a bottle. Yum!

I've obtained a couple of sealed bottles recently. Sunshine in a bottle, but oh so brief. Can't wear this as a perfume because it just doesn't last. But if you want an experience for a few minutes, this is worth it.

If I was to take a bush and paint what happy means for me...it is this juice, yellow flowers perfection. sweet, flowery, serene, like an early summer evening...I also smell honeysuckle, although there isn't any.

I adore this fragrance as much as J'Adore EDT. It's light and fresh but always makes me feel special. It's a great alternative to Diptique's Olene. If you like floral scents, you'll love this one.

Very light and summery. I love it. I feel sunshine and warmth and light breezy afternoons. Delightful and, as Stampinator says, no sneezes!

One of the best black locust soliflores! Why is it discontinued?

It is a very elegant gold flower EDT : the combination of bergamot/citrus and mimosa is just wonderful, very soft and restrained maybe, but I love it a lot. I love mimosa, it is such an under-estimated flower compared to much louder soniflores like rose, jasmin and tuberose. I do agree that sillage is maybe not that strong, it is an EDT version and you need to spray generously in order to capture the fragrance. Since I like layering, I tried it with the other beauty of Occitane : the older "Ambre" version (not the latest Amber Santal) and I can tell you the combination of these 2 is marvelous : you get a sparkling version of "Ambre", a bit lighter and more floral. I should try to combine it with the latest Amber Santal because unfortunately they discontinue the older Ambre version.

Grabbed a big bottle of this at the outlet before its gone forever. I guess its a blind buy because I hadn't really smelled it before on my skin. At first I couldn't smell anything--oh no, the dreaded amnosic! I persisted, however, and learned that you have to train your nose to pick up the mimosa that makes this such a heavenly, light scent. Its so barely there, but this whisper of a yellow floral is exactly what I want on a hot day. When its in full bloom, it gives off this adorable combo of orange blossom, honeysuckle and angel food cake. It really is perfect for layering, too, because its so airy. Just gorgeous!

Because of this I have discovered my love for mimosas! What a wonderful flower! Obviously I love this fragrance. To me it has become the scent of summer 2015. It smells so optimistic and summery, it`s almost like the fragrance itself is smiling when you put it on. It is very versatile, and you can pretty much get away with this anywhere. A good daytime fragrance, if you`re looking for something inoffensive, but still a bit unique. I rarely repurchase fragrances, but when it comes to this one I definently will! Please don`t ever discontinue it, L`Occitane.

I tried this one today because I missed it. I'm ok with this line, I like the scents but don't love them all. I like Fleur d'Or & Acacia better than others. It smells clean, feminine, bright. It's a luminous yellow floral with a delicate touch and very well balanced citrus opening. Mimosa is not cloying and doesn't give me a headache as per 90% perfumes with mimosa. The genet should be a plant, but I have no idea how it smells like. The Woody and musky notes are not so remarkable. I think this is an easy to wear floral for spring and summer.

Bright acacia honey scent in the bottle! I love love love this scent. Even it quite like Honeymania from Body shop but it has better quality smell. I mean L'occitane has bright scent while Honeymania is sharp for my nose. The Mimosa in here is very lovely. If you like fragrance e.g. Yellow Diamond, Annick Mimosa, Yves Rocher mimosa etc., then GO GET IT!!

This is a radiant yellow floral, full of air and light. To me it feels more like a body spray than a perfume. I asked someone to sniff my arm 15 minutes after applying it and he said, "body lotion, isn't it?". It is an informal but pretty fragrance, good for any occassion when you want to smell fresh and nice, from family dinner to a day-long hike.

This scent is great for people who do not like very strong fragrances. It is a more natural fragrance. It's sweet and flowery, but it's not overwhelming, it doesn't cause a headache. The mimosa is very well blended with the citrusy tones. The longevity is 2-4 hours. Overall, I like it a lot and highly recommend it, especially to women in their 20s.

Mhmmm, I like this one a lot. And my mum would have loved it too (as littlepepperz wrote too :-))This is going to be my office scent. I sprayed it on last evening and can still smell it now after more than 10 hours. Not in an owerpowering way but very soft and gentle. I can't stop sniffing my wrist ;-)

I am deeply in love with mimosa. It has good longevity on me, and sweet, honey-like scent. Mimosa stays long enough and I can smell it hours after I sprayed it on me. I wish they make smaller versions of this perfume. 75 ml is a little too much, as the only option.

A very pleasant, noble, natural essence floral in best traditions of Grasse. Mimose and white acacia, and an impression of neroli. Not a single disturbing note. Beautiful, a pure well-being. Bravo L'Occitane.

A fresh sweet floral smell..soft and very lightly sweet, reminds me of honey right off the flowers I used to taste when I was a kid..nice and light and suitable for spring or even summer. I like it.

This is a lovely, soft honeysweet mimose scent. I don't detect any of the other notes really. Light and airy, really nice spring scent. ♥♥♥♥

Bright amorphous floral. This reaches past unremarkable on the worthwhile scale, and registers around the "abstracted into oblivion" mark. Despite its ambiguous nature, (uh, which flowers are supposed to be in there again?!) there's an astringent quality to the floral aspect that makes me wary of recommending it to the allergy-prone. It almost as a jasminy, aquatic kind of freshness, which translates as not-so-fresh on me. I love the masculine (unisex) Cedar & Orange counterpart to this duo, especially when my boyfriend wears it, but Fleur d'Or & Acacia leaves me seriously disappointed. If it was twice the potency it would be a scrubber, but it's not and the longevity sucks so I didn't bother.

Too powdery! At first you confront a blast of yellow flowers, which is very realistic, but won't stay with you for too long. After 15-20 minutes, the dry out just gets weird and one does not find any "acacia" or "fleu d'or" around; instead, a burst of old baby powder that you forgot you had on the deepest darkest spot of your bathroom cabinet. And, just to put the cherry on the top of the cake, it has amazing sillage and longevity, which resulted in a terrible headache.

I've smelled some faint and timid scents before, but this one takes first prize! My wife could barely smell anything and neither could I. It barely has a scent. Essentially - this is perfumer's alcohol. That's it. Okay, perfume industry: are you done atoning for the 70's and 80's yet? Can we go back to fragrances which actually have some smell, longevity and sillage again?

Very white floral, smells very similar to the whole de grasses collection. Wore it today, it reminded me quite a bit of the body shop's moringa, except I liked this much better. Quite a high pitched, sweet scent but not in a sickly way. Light & feminine, certainly very pleasant. Longevity was not amazing however, sillage was quite good. Over all not my favourite frag. like I said, all the L'Occitane frags have a similar sort of vibe- it was hard to tell the difference between this & jasmin bergamote & neroli et orchidee. Only have it because it came in a 4x7.5mL gift set for $15!! at l'occitane in Auckland (I'm in NZ). Overall, very pleasant, give it a 6.5 out of 10. & I am a tough one to please.

I'm crazy about black locust, I mean the fresh flowers of the tree (I even have a tattoo of it on my neck, so I'm serious) and when I saw this smell on the display I knew I was going to like it. I've finished 3 bottles of this and still use one. I love how fresh and natural it smells, but oh I hate that it wears off so, so quickly! I have been looking for a perfume with strong black locust smell and by far this is the only one that I believe really gives you the fresh and sweet smell of black locust, but it doesn't last even half an hour, and I'm really sad about it. That's why I keep a bottle of it on my table just to spray and smell from time to time to get lovely black locust smell.

Tried this out in the store today, it's an amazing golden floral, very apt name. It opens with the most realistic wildflower honey note I've smelled in a perfume thus far, sweet and rich, melting into a mess of yellow mimosa pollen and acacia petals, complemented with the smell of cut hay. This stage smells like pure sunlight and it's absolutely gorgeous. I think L'occitane always did good honey scents but this is definitely my favourite of them all. The dry-down isn't as beautiful, remnants of wood and dried honeycomb, but the first two stages are so lovely a full bottle might just sneak into my collection. ;)

Just tested it today. A bright, yellow floral. My mother would have liked it for sure :) Do you know what white acacia blossoms smell like? If you like that scent - you will like this. I kind of enjoyed it that this little fume has restored that memory for me: the smell of early June air in the south of central Europe, where white acacia blossoms were dancing in the wind. Not enough to keep me interested for much longer - the drydown is a pure mimosa-shampoo-like scent. There was a strong indication of a headache approaching. I would say that this would make a safe gift (for someone who's not a perfume freak!).

Hellooo yellow flowers!🌻🌻🌻 Feels like I'm standing in a field full of yellow flowers drenched in sunshine. So bright, this fragrance exudes joy and happiness but not in an overly manner. Rather than the usual citrusy opening, I can smell the green in this when I first sprayed it. I can only smell that recently..before, the opening of Fleur d'Or & Acacia always somehow smells like jellies to me, which I am not very fond of. Now that the jelly is missing from my nose and replaced by green notes, I'm loving it! Have I told you this is just very yellow? If yellow has a smell, I'd imagine this would be it! 💛

Just received a little envelope in the mail with a sample of this from L'Occitane. Underneath the foil packet of EdT it has the notes: Top Notes lemon and Bergamot, Heart of Broom, Mimosa and Acacia, and Base of White Woods and Musk. So Castellot and Casaque are correct! Thus far I get the mimosa, not that much citrus in the opening.

Although the animal, genet, can be used in perfumery..I think in this case, Fragrantica have it wrong and I suspect it is genêt, a plant, not the mammal. Grown in Provence, related to broom, it is described as hay-like and smelling like bee propolis. I believe this fragrance is more likely to have genêt in it than genet ;)

I thought it smelt like powdery yellow florals (specifically, blossoms), honey (similar to TBS's Honeymania) and sweet, newly sliced pears. A pale, golden colour scent that's rich and warm. It's okay, and probably perfect for a cold wintry christmas.

Beautiful scent, very floral ,mimosa goes in the fornt ,warm sunny ,i like it. There are few smells like this on the market which i love ,so this one a mini i have will purchase. To someone who will love this. Really nice uplifting scent.

Love this smell! Just like magic. Unfortunatly it does not last very long, but for me its an nostalgic smell that I most often reach for. If someone have a dupe please share as this is discontinued.

Genet is probably the same idea as civet. A natural by product of the Genet glands located near the anus of the animal. Think cat spray ... although the Genet and Civet are not really cats.

It would be very lovely scent if my skin wouldn't consume it within 15 minutes. It's beautiful way to show mimose on a light lemon base. Shame it didn't want to stay with me longer.
