Herbae Iris Pallida

wow, wow, WOW. who knew iris could be this original? a lower end iris from a skincare brand, besides. kidding, of course - as a fan, I trust anything LO produces to be modern, inventive and blended to perfection... but this is a new high, one past even Melilot. invigoratingly clean, dazzling and unisex. the lemon/floral duet in the middle here is pretty much what I hoped for from Philosophy Pure Grace, which I blind bought and immediately gave to a friend, who, unlike me, didn't think it smelled like straight dish soap. I will critique LO's note description; this has nothing oriental about it & the incense, wherever it may hide, is so faint you might as well have spent one minute too long next to the door of a hippie new age esotherics shop. :D all this to warn anyone looking for something darker/heavier/spicier! CRISP is the word I would use for IP, no doubt. a single whiff summons to mind the sight of a freshly steamed white dress shirt, elegantly fitted, neutral and effortless (<- another keyword!). one the most impressive parts of the composition is how Herbae's DNA shines through. despite this being a very iris-driven, musky and light, herbae's delicate, but relentless green-pink-garden's-scent-drifting-from-the-patio tang still sits front and center. heavy on the rhubarb, which I adore, but not enough to become faux-ozonic. orris/rhubarb/musk/grass dominance in the fragrantica pyramid is accurate. weartime is a pain, but this is LO, and for the price (40€ if you catch her on sale! come on!), I have no complaints. sillage seems to vary, but on me, she's a wafter, and every time I smell myself, I fall a little more in love with this stunning, overlooked gem. :)

Fresh and elegant take on a clean-skin/white-t-shirt scent. Feminine, stylish, natural smelling (unlike many "molecule scents") Great choice for those who can't use too perfumy fragrances for work: I would say this one would rival Chanel N1. Love the bottle design, too

Luxurious clean body cream scent. Sillage is minimal,longevity is poor

A pleasant and clean Iris heart with green and floral nuances. This is an easy wear that sits close to the skin. It pairs with a gorgeous Body Milk. Upon wearing, it certainly feels like you have been graced by rain drenched irises in your hands.

I think this perfume is for men. Too masculine for women. If you like unisex fragrances, you can go with it. I'll keep it for my husband. :) Longevity and sillage is good even though it's edt.

I bought it because of the allegations of its similarity to Guerlain's Iris Pallida (which I have, love, and treasure). I wanted something similar that is lighter, to be able to spray generously. Yea... I want to now what people who are marking it similar to Iris Pallida are smoking, because they are nothing alike, except for the fact that they are both based on iris/orris. The iris note itself is nice, green and vegetal, but lasts maybe 30 minutes. After that all that's left is the nasty, very unpleasant white musk.

I don’t like the musky iris dry down, because it has these male semisweet lavender nuances, which typically make me sick.

Lovely scent, would buy a bottle if not for the longevity - fleeting, I can't smell it after 5 minutes.
