Immortelle de Corse

This is a new love of mine. It combines some of my absolute favorite notes – honey, benzoin, immortelle, tea and rose. It contains dried immortelle flowers and natural honey. And indeed, this is a very natural-smelling perfume. Just putting the bottle up to my nose, I get a waft of resiny, sweet honey and maple. On first spray, I notice a delicious resin scent (benzoin, amber), and the fresh, herbal scent from the dried flowers. It’s not overly sweet, just nicely earthy. The fragrance is the most quiet during the first few minutes. It then comes into its full glory once it has warmed on my skin. The honey is the strongest note, followed by the immortelle flowers and the ambery benzoin. In the drydown all the notes come together into a smooth, heavenly mix – rich honey, herbal-salty immortelle and soft rose, a hint of black tea and resinous warmth. This perfume is wonderfully soft, understated, warm and comforting. In my opinion, the lasting power is decent for a natural perfume. However, I do need to reapply throughout the day to keep it emanating from my dry skin. Immortelle de Corse stays relatively close to the skin. It is not a big statement-maker scent that everyone around you will notice. It’s more the type you wear for your own enjoyment. Only those who get very close to you will get to enjoy this gorgeous, ambery-honey skin scent. Although I have been enjoying this one lately (in the winter), I think it will be amazing in warmer weather. If you love honey, this is well worth checking out.

I love L'occitane fragrances. Perhaps its because I can clearly distinguish the multiple scents in their products; were as in other fragrance brands I just get walloped by a cacophony of smells. Regardless, I have horded a collection of their beautiful products. Immortelle markets itself as a woman's perfume but that does not stop me from buying or trying a scent. I will give it a try and pass it along to my happily accepting mother or sisters. But they will not be getting Immortelle from me. The EdP is intoxicating. I love honey (my father's hobby was beekeeper and we always had it near). In addition, the woody resins and immortelle flower provides a delicious background. I coveted this scent and wore it often yet I confess that the dry down was more powdery and feminine then I would prefer. So, the other day I sprayed the Immortelle on first, than applied L'occitane's Eau des Baux (read description elsewhere) on top. For me, the scent was truly heavenly; and based on people's responses (both men and women), others really liked it too. For those men who love this fragrance but may find it more suited for ladies, try the Eau des Baux body wash and a spritz of Immortelle and see the magic that happens.

After reading these reviews I knew I had to have this perfume! I found it on eBay. I was thrilled! I already have the L'Occtane Massage Nectar that I found at a thrift store and only paid 1.50 for it. Yes, you read that right... 1.50! I love the honey smell of that lotion so I knew I'd love the honey smell of this. And I was right! The opening starts out quite boozy on me, like mead (honey wine) but the booziness fades quickly. I then detect some amber nuances and I'm not familiar with immortal flower but from what I've read about it, it does have some honey and amber notes to it. After an hour or so it gets an incense quality mixed in with the honey and amber notes. I don't detect any burnt sugar smells or maple. It is very earthy and cozy. I hope this does well in the warmer months on me but if not, I have the fall to look forward to.

I'm a big fan of L'Occitane, and most of their perfumes blend really well with my chemistry, except this one. This is a great scent, warm and indeed boozy as some have mentioned here, and it's complex sweetness, with a hint of herbal-medicinal magic, makes it unusual in a very good way. Sadly, the immortelle just doesn't work for me. It leaves some sort of stale smell on my skin, and that's the main thing left of this beauty after about half an hour. Still keeping it because I love this scent, even if only for spraying it on clean linen on wintertime. Longevity and sillage are really good, at least on me. No need for seconds with this one. UPDATE - I tried it again, even though I consider the weather now too hot for it. The drydown is somewhat better, more medicinal-sweet. I think I'm growing more and more fond of it.

I wish I had a proper bottle of this lovely. I just have a wee miniature. The honey note can be tricky with my chemistry. It can go animalic as it did with 4160 Tuesdays Dirty Honey. Not in this sun warmed honey heaven. The combination of honey, immortelle and benzoin seem to be the magic trio. It's so rich yet not sickly and overwhelming. The addition of tea might have something to do with that. It's a while before I can pick out the rose or musk. A scent for casual wear. Unisex but you need to love sweet but not sickly. I get great longevity and good sillage in a cool room. ps I've got a fb of this heavenly scent. Sorry if I upset anyone!. For me it's better than Zoologist Bee which is definitely a floral/pollen honey rather than Mediterranean sun warmed honey.

I finally paid some big bucks for this on eBay because mine was inadvertently given away when we moved. I was crushed because this and the Neroli from the same line were my favorites. Signatures for sure. Now that it's back, I have no regrets spending more than it originally costs! Honey honey honey. It's not the pasteurized yuck in the bear bottle honey, but sweet raw clear and light honey. With the benzoin and Immortelle, it has a luxurious vibe making it very rich. It's sweet but naturally so, no saccharides here! I feel like it can be worn all year. It's about 80* F and it's not too sticky for me even in the warmer weather. I love how long it lasts too. Spraying this on me felt like coming home. I love it!

I finally got my hands on this! It's gorgeous. Not exactly what I expected, much more honey and powdery but still lovely and timeless. No regrets here (and received a free bottle of J.crew No. 57!). I'm forever searching for a fragrance that matches the L'Occitaine Immortelle face products but alas, this is a beautiful interpretation of immortelle. It has a hay, honeycomb, waxy vibe. Ever so slightly reminiscent of Sex and the Sea by Francesca Bianchi. Would be interesting to layer with Aesop Ouranon. Anyways, I'm feeling lucky for having this. Could not wait for it to arrive and worth the wait.

Immortelle de Corse by L`Occitane is an affordable sweet surprise, and alas, a limited edition. The fragrance is simple, pleasant and easy to wear: honey, maple syrup, benzoin, carrot-y iris, and a touch of warm hay coalesce to create a nice “wearable” gourmand that melds with the skin. At less than a dollar per mL, IdC is a bargain; longevity on skin is 6-8 hours. A must try for gourmand and oriental lovers. I couldn’t find IdC in the regular L`Occitane store, but I found it on sale in the outlet store about a week ago. 4/5

Hay, warm immortelle, raw honey. The honey is rather clean and not dirty. It's just beautiful and makes you feel happy. The smell of country side late Summer. Timeless, ageless perfume. All occasions, all year long. I love immortelle so I was sold from the beginning but this is well done and immortelle is really the star here. I bought a vintage 80% full bottle online at an (obviously) overpriced amount. I do not regret it at all. So far this is the best and most authentic immortelle perfume I've smelled.

@Imadele, I don't get any herb either This is a lovely sweet honey/imortelle scent. I consider myself anything but a fan of sweet, gourmand fragrances but this one does the trick for me. It shines in cold weather. It hugs around you with its cozy blanket made of amber-like syrup. At the drydown, the black tea note peeks out and wraps up the whole experience. Too bad it's discontinued. *The longevity is beastly. The honey(or immortelle) lasts for, no kidding, a whole 24 hours on my skin and is still going.

I love, love, love this scent! I've smelled a couple of niche perfumes but this one is almost on top! It is a very comfortable scent. Sweet hay with honey and amber; a mouthwatering combination! It is like an afternoon very late in the summer, drinking a cup of rooibos tea with a lot of honey and smel the sun-warmed hay when watching the sunset. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! i bought the last (extra) bottles in the Netherlands. I have now maybe too much..

I've been waiting patiently for Fall to get here. It's been about 7 months since I purchased this perfume. I tried it in the summer and it did not work for me at all, but now that it has cooled off, it is wonderful! It's like honey wine on me! It's quite strong with some good sillage and longevity. It is also great to pair with Obsession perfume! The honey and cinnamon compliment each other very well.

molto simile a raghba e a cologne of the missions, per me si tratta di un accordo tutto giocato su note di tabacco, miele e ambra. rispetto ai profumi citati che sono principalmente resinosi e balsamici, qui si trova una vibrazione più floreale, presumibilmente l'elicriso accoppiato alla rosa, che rende tutto l'insieme più fresco e naturale. molto buono. credo che sia fuori produzione.

Dear L`Occitane, Please make more of this. It's such a shame to let it be discontinued, it is so lovely... warm, easy to wear, love at first smell, this has been my best blind buy experience. my fiancee loves it, I love it, a fascination with immortelle and a quest to find a great fragrance with it has led me to some beauties, most notably this. really luscious stuff.

Got a small bottle of this on clearance a while back. I didn't have high hopes given that I used to work in a L'Occitane store and virtually all of their fragrances do nothing for me (except The Vert with Jasmine). What a surprise this was - I loved it but it was too late to get anymore and it's discontinued :( A deep incense-y type of frag.

This is such a unique scent. Rich, thick and syrupy, this feels like a golden liquid on your skin. The immortelle truly does have a maple like scent to it, and this is resinous with benzoin and yet kept from being too heavy with tea and and has a sweet edge of honey. Makes me think of a hot day on the Mediterranean.

Just got my bottle from ebay and I'm loving this so much I want kiss myself! It's sweet and boozy and spicy. It's a very cold day here but I'm really looking forward to wearing this in the summer heat, it'll be even sexier then. Delicious.

I don't smell any herbs, just immortelle, which smells a little rough, in a way.

This stuff is really really sweet from the very first sniff like brown sugar left in a warm cabinet during a heatwave. This burnt sugar smell could only be translated as the prominent honey note. Benzoin and honey marry and make love in a way leaving a sensual embrace. This honey is so rich, sticky and comforting with a pairing of resinous benzoin. Beneath the tooth-aching sweetness there is a shadow of something herbal- the immortelle and tea play along to make a soft, yet gently bitter curtain. The rose and iris are stranded in the party, barely making an entrance. Iris only appears when nearly forgotten, and then only leaves an airy whisper. Rose is entwined with honey and immortelle to soften the entire cast, so faint yet so delicate. Immortelle de Corse is like a heatwave in a meadow of mature immortelle flowers. Pollen wafting in the open air, bees buzzing in the background and sun baking upon the lightly sweaty, salty skin. Joy, is what I feel when i wear this. Longevity: When worn overnight for over 12 hours, it remains detectable in the morning, without any face-planting. Sillage: Heavy, one to two sprays is enough to fill half a room.

When I purchased this, I didn't even spray it on my skin - the sales associate was bathed in it so i could just smell the air around her. She started telling me stories of mysterious and sexy nights around the Mediterranean Sea. I had to laugh and asked her if she had been there, she said no but that's what she thinks of when she smells this scent. It smells really good and is pretty inexpensive so I bought a bottle. After all anyone trying that hard deserves a sale. The scent is a very powdery, rich, boozy, caramel and syrup kind of fragrance. The deep cognac color will tell you right away this will not be a fruity floral. I wish it had a little patchouli in the dry down, then again, I wish everything had patchouli. The predominant warm powder strikes me as feminine, however, I can totally see this being used by a gentleman. I like the L'Occitane scents as they concentrate on a few pronounced notes rather than giving you a whole bunch and sometimes simple just works. The bottle is very pretty and their products are very well priced for what you get.

Stunning and glorious, a modern masterpiece. It's thick with rich honey and woods dripping in sap, the immortelle flower ( or paper flower as it is sometimes called) which has a dry, woody aroma, takes center stage from the beginning til the end. There is a lumber smell in this scent that is very sweetened with maple syrup... It's also a little spicy gourmand. Lasting power is quite incredible, silage very good. It's very "Lutenesque" , according to my nose.... there are actually three (3) perfumes from L'occitane which could easily pass for a Serge Lutens creation. They are: Immortelle, Labdanum and Neroli. Class, power, sweetness, spices, woods.... As I mentioned before, the edps from L'occitane are very different than the edts, in terms of quality. Too bad they decided to discontinue almost all edp. Shame! But maybe the great masses didn't catch on their uniqueness, beauty and quality. Too bad...

Got this gem at a rather decent price from a fragrance group I follow on Facebook. It is a sweet scent that has gental herbal tones to it and that I think is the Immortelle. I think honey is quite well blended with the the Immortelle which made it a clean sweet herbally scent. I feel like this is one of those scents that will make you smell mature almost like a teacher. I feel familiar with it in that aspect. A teacher who is middle aged with glasses and giving me gentle warming smile. It gives me that impression. I have a few L'Occitane in my collection as I only just got into fragrance for real three months ago. However even before I started collecting for real I was always a fan of L'Occitane fragrances. I think they make quality fragrance for sure. BIG LIKE.

I wish I could smell what everyone else is, or at least a hint of what else is on the pyramid. I mostly smell honey, beeswax, and a bit of tea (like they way hot tea smells when there is a lot of honey blended into it.) On my skins this wears linearly, but it never gets annoying or cloying. It just gently fades away after and is gone after 4 hours. It is pleasant to smell of honey, and when I feel like smelling like this, I'll wear it. It is very cold and dreary here, and I feel that this perfume is better suited to heat and bare skin, not layers, scarves, fleece, and grey days.

Mmm this is lovely. This is a tobacco and cognac hit laced with honey, reminiscent of a certain tobacco leaf that naughty cigar users buy! There is next to no sillage on me, but it doesn't matter. I would wear this for myself and enjoy the cozy, relaxed feeling it generates, much like the naughty cigar (so I'm told!!!). If you like gourmands, this is one to try. It is a bit sickly at first, but when the spicy, resinous notes appear you will be rewarded for your patience.

A beautiful and unique creation by L`Occitane, more likeable and more special than many others by them. I agree with vertigo that it's warm, herbal, earthy, sweet and powdery. I also get this weird but lovely note that reminds me of the way my grandmother's lipstick would smell. I believe it would suit best for vacations in colder weather, hiking or camping.

sweet honey and immortelle with a dose of benzoin that gives it almost an underlying incense vibe; you have to like really sweet honey scents to love this one; so, for me it's a like or okay but not curling my toes and making me sniff myself endlessly.

Their new collection of fragrances are really different, natural and gorgeous. Unfortunately, the longevity and sillage rather let them down, and at £53.00 a bottle, I think I'll save the money for one of the old heavy hitters!!

Sweet and boozy scent, reminds me cognac. Honey is prominent, too. Interesting perfume.

I agree with Vertigo's review as it was warm, herbal, earthy, sweet and powdery and Belil's comment about hiking and camping as it was very natural smelling .. I can add that I thought it was unisex as I found it to be neither masculine nor femine and not at all perfumy .. I could not fault the quality and enjoyed the warmth but found it to be too herby for me ..

I love l'occitane fragrances.. But I couldn't get along with this one.. It is thick, sweet and the burnt 'something' note really upset my senses. It reminds me of a fragrance oil my mother used to burn when I was a child.. Unfortunately, it wasn't essential oil. I felt like I had doused myself in home fragrance oil! Not pleasant.

HA HA! archivist, I agree 100% with your review. There are actually 2 KK frags I find really appealing and we'll made. Botrytis Ginestet is another comparable honey to this and probably a little more accessible. I think I have a back-up bottle of this L'Occitane. I may need to share the love!!

This is not so much an immortelle solinote as an immortelle that has been wrapped in raw honey, complete with bits of propolis and wax. The opening is filtered sun and golden hues that dries down to the more earthy elements of the honey and immortelle, rendering a feel reminiscent of dry straw and wildflowers, with tea and rose coming to the fore, creating this lovely, sheer aromatic quality. While relatively linear other than this shift, it is a wonderful wear and a great accompaniment for this warmer late February day. Immortelle Corse unfortunately was discontinued a few years ago, though bottles still float around online at varying prices. It was definitely one of the more outstanding fragrance to have been released by L'Occitane (and it is rumored that the others from the discontinued Voyage en Mediterranee series were fantastic, particularly Labdanum de Seville), and if you like the honeyed vibe of Hermes L'Envol EDP but with more agrestic facets and if you are a fan of immortelle, this would certainly more than please you. It's just unfortunate that you can no longer purchase it for under 30 dollars. It's a shame.

I've been obsessed with trying to find a honey perfume. I had L'occitane's Honey and Vanilla, Honey and Lemon, and shimmering Honey and Lemon. All are nice (except for the shimmering version) and warm, but I think the lemon in honey and lemon and the patchouli in honey and vanilla make it too strong. That brings me to L'occitane's Immortelle de Corse. I thought I'd love this with its honey and immortelle notes (I enjoy the herbal scent of their immortelle skin care products), unfortunately on my skin it smells exactly like prunes. I suppose the warmth of the honey and perhaps the hay-like note from the immortelle end up combining to smell like prunes on me. Well, the search for a true honey perfume continues... Kim Kardashian's Pure Honey is next. Update: I wore this again in warmer weather, and I actually like it more now. It still smells like prunes, but it's somewhat comforting.

Thanks a lot for adding this fragrance! Immortelle de Corse is a first immortal fragrance that I've tried. I knew that the flower of immortal has a very specific aroma (haven't smelled the real thing), but somehow couldn't imagine it. The perfume is certainly very special. It has a warm, herbal, earthy, slightly sweet, slightly powdery quality to it. I believe some parts of the accord belong to honey and iris. And musk, probably. It seems to me very natural, but - unfortunately - I can't say if it's a faithful projection of immortal. Very longlasting and with remarkable sillage, like most of L'Occitane's creations. Doesn't change in time. I've been told it's a limited edition. Firstly, I was surprised by the smell. Later on, I couldn't imagine myself wearing it. But I think I'll give it another chance.

Interesting... It opens with bright floral scent, somewhat like carnation, almost annoying. Then comes the honey - sweet and full, a little powdery, but pleasant. At the end I can feel honeycomb, dripping honey on a wooden tabletop: beeswax, honey and wooden notes. I think the paper flower adds those wooden notes, but shouldn't it give also a little bitterness to the bouquet? Definitely no rose or iris in this perfume pyramid, at least for me. It rather summer field flowers, but I can't specify what is it. I wish, it had a little twist in it - artemisia or... I don't know moss may be, otherwise it's kind of boring. And yes, it reminds me of S.Lutens perfumes. I'll give it 7/10.

The only disappointing thing about this scent is that it's discontinued. If I had discovered it sooner I would have taken out a small loan and bought up all remaining stocks of it. It was so different to all their other fragrances. I find their current ones very commercially bland. This had depth, width and height. It was a big fragrance. It made a bold 'I'm here and I smell damn good' statement. It had a lovely whisky and honey note which gave it warmth. Why did L'Occitane stop making this? Are they mad?

This is my go to immortelle, it's sweet, powdery and pure like having the sun shine fully on your skin. The rose becomes more apparent as it dries but for the most part this is pure honey dipped immortelle. Because I have never found such a strong helichrysum heart, I'm very happy to wear this quite linear perfume. I just wish it wasn't like a needle in a haystack to find these days.

I have only 1 spray from a tester.... I like it. It is a rainy day here in Athens today & I like the syrupy warm cozy feeling this perfume has.... I can smell the herbs in it as well as warm sweet honey & an ambery note maybe coming from benzoin....A comfortable perfume but I wonder about its longevity....I think it has a low sillage...

Honey is in abundance in this fragrance, gentle spices, a touch salty and balsamic, and an almost caramelized benzoin that simply lingers on the skin forever. The sillage is not great, but the staying power is incredible. Reminds me a lot of Alahine.

Mega powdery, sweet confectionary in a bottle. A sort of cross between Parma Violets and sugared licorice. Very potent longevity; lasts all day long and is detectable on clothes for days. I like it but wouldn't like to wear it.

From a spray on my hand I immediately get a 'fatty' smell from this. Fatty, honey, burn-dy smell. Weird! Got the same again when I tried it tonight. Is it a frag for a cavewoman? (joke, sort of) Hmm, not for me this one.

Another great scent from L'Occitane. Shame they discontinued it like so many of their fragrances. I avoid L'Occitane scents now just to save myself the disappointment of their constant discontinuations.

Very interesting perfume, firts impression was of a funny, nearly edible gourmand. A big honey, caramel but non-roasted note, a strong, non-fruity type of sweetness.Kinda forbiden fruit...

this hasn't reached australian shores yet... i am awaiting it with bated breath! i'm wondering if it smells similar to the immortelle skincare range? hope so!

This is my 'signature scent'...over & over & over! I could bathe in it. I take it to bed with me. Comforting, warm, syrupy honey elixir.

Simple review : Love it. really and truly. It is sweet and maybe powdery, but I do love it.

Hands down......warm. golden. honey. syrup!!!!!!!! Decadent worn to bed.

Smells just like Shalimar Parfum Initial to me.
