Lavanda

This is nice. I'm happy to have it in my collection; but since the reformulation of the Lavande EDT that came in the cobalt blue bottle, the amount of lavender in L'Occitane's EDC, is seriously, quite noticeably lower. Plus the inclusion of musk and patchouli alludes to something vanillaic in the composition. That's OK for those of you who like lavender/vanilla; but I prefer the aesthetic of a lavender solifleur, which is a little more astringent, or perhaps a little more camphorous and though the cobalt blue bottle was far from a solifleur, the lavender in it, sure packed a punch. If you find your taste is similar to mine, I recommend Les Lavandes by Lothantique, whose nose, by the way, is Jean Claude Ellena, and I can tell you it is pure lavender perfection to my nose. Another nice offering is L'Aromatheque Lavande extrait de parfum, which is under the Outremer umbrella. This is a lavender lover's dream in a tiny 12ml bottle. Though L'Aromatheque is not referenced in Fragrantica, the Outremer line is indeed referenced here, and they have listed Outremer Lavande-Cassis, which is an EDT, also a very nice offering and the packaging for the Outremer EDT line is beautiful, but for me, Lothanique's Les Lavandes, is where it's at. I hope this piqued your interest. I find it a responsibility to support and buy products from private companies that do their job well, lest they disappear. Both of these companies do a superb job with lavender.

First spray its a pretty lavender like in Occtaine provence. Later the dry down is too harsh spices and green grass. I wish lavender stayed in dry down. Unfortunatly on dry down it sound like a home scent not a body spray.
