Musc Rose (Musk Rose)

Absolute love, with unfortunately short longevity and availability. I only had a small tester of it, but used up every bit of it and ate it up. Now I might be tripping here, but I've felt a similarity of this in the small decant of JHAG Lady Vengeance that i got myself as a little treat on one very gloomy and cold summer morning. Feel free to correct me, but it has the same jammy, yet not overly sweet rose, that is perfect in moody and rainy autumn days. That said decant, unfortunately, had a small defect somewhere and it spilled the juice in my bag. I grieved it, but not as much as my tester of Musc Rose, given that it is an available and relatively affordable perfume. I'm genuinely interested if anyone else sees the similarity between these two ngl.

Rose Musc smells absolutely divine. It's so pleasant, deep, inviting, musky patchouli rose. It even seems a bit ambery or resinious. In combination with litchi it smells quite unique and is just somewhat similar to the black square Narciso. The only drawback is that the lasting power is very disappointing, some Zara perfumes stay longer. And for any feeling of a perfume you have to apply a few times. It makes me so upset that L'Occitane would do these beautiful perfumes but then they cost a lot and don't perfom. Please, L'Occitane just improve your perfume game!

I should hate it but I like it. Very unique - can't compare it to anything and with 80+ fragrances in my collection that's pretty rare. Smells like a fragrant paint thinner, but the kind that you can't help but keep sniffing. Definitely test before buying.

I got a sample from the store. The opening to me smells like leather! I'm not a fan of the opening at all, smells like burnt leather and rubber. I can still smell leather in the dry down but lighter and more tolerable. I can't detect rose or musk. It reminds me of one of Tom Ford perfumes!

This is lovely. I can kind of get why people are saying they smell rubber or leather. My nose picks it up as more like medicinal bandages and benzoin, which isn't listed as a note. I get the same smell in Shalimar, not that this is a Shalimar dupe at all. There's not a lot of rose in this to me. It's sophisticated, unisex, and if L'Occitane's pattern holds, it'll be discontinued soon. I'm glad I have a bottle.
