Néroli & Orchidée Eau Intense

This is absolutely gorgeous, another wonderful vial to test from my perfume pen pal, Sarah. The orange blossom is just gorgeous and reminds me of the orange blossom note in Libre EDT a little bit, although this fragrance seems much more delicate and conventionally feminine. There is also a real freshness to it. I'm never quite sure what is meant by an orchid note in a fragrance, since most of the orchids I have ever smelled were disappointingly odorless, but the part of the accord that is not orange blossom has a faintly floral, slightly vanilla aspect. This reminds me a lot of a perfume I wore back in the '90s, but I can't think of what it is. It doesn't smell dated, though. Like all the L'Occitane scents, it smells expensive and pretty. I thought of what it reminds me of, although it's less peppery-feisty: Roberto Cavalli EDP (original pour femme, with the fancy initials cap). Longevity isn't superb, unless I went noseblind to it, which is possible. It definitely lasts better on fabric than my skin.

The note breakdown above seems spot on. There is the neroli, which I love, very noticeable orange blossom, and vanilla. Blind bought it and this was exactly what I was looking for, precisely what I expected. It lasts very well on clothes, but not on skin. It does smell sophisticated, in a YSL Libre meets Bottega Veneta Knot kind of way. It is sweeter and indeed more intense that the og Neroli & Orchidée. Rounder and longer lasting. They are different enough. It would feel syrupy if it weren't for all the neroli. Vanilla is natural, not too sweet. There is a booziness to it. I got complimented immediately on first wear, which is not something that happens often to me. I do see resemblances to the perfumes identified in "This perfume reminds me of" above. I am needing all my self-control not to buy a back-up of this, as it was a limited edition.

I'm so sad L'Occitane are no longer making this perfume because I'm almost out. The white flowers in the opening are a little more vaporous than I'd like but they settle quickly into a phenomenal spicy-sweet perfume that lasts all day. There's something missing from the listed notes because there has to be some gorgeous resin, spice or wood somewhere in the mid or base to make it so warm and snuffable. This might be too much for daytime if you work around people who are sensitive to strong smells because this does radiate and leave quite a trail, but this would be perfect for fall or winter when you're wearing more layers, or for a date where you want to leave an impression

This one smells absolutely lovely straight out of the bottle! It's sweet, honeyed, and lightly floral. I smelled it on a tester paper and couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went back to the store the next day. Unfortunately the drydown doesn't work well with my body chemistry. It starts to smell a bit like fruity popcorn, which isn't necessarily unpleasant but it loses any trace of the lovely opening notes. EDIT: I caved in and ordered an bottle and I'm so glad I did. The "popcorn" note is a brief interlude among all the gorgeous honey, vanilla, and orange blossom scents, so it's worth it. :)

This is back in stores and looking like it might be a permanent release, with a new bottle design. It does remind me of the new Libre Le Parfum. I recommend you go give it a wear test. This is gorgeous. Of my 90+ perfume bottle collection, this remains my most complimented scent.

As I reviewer below I am obsessed with this! To me it smells like bitter neroli with honey and vanilla. Personally i don’t get any orange blossom. Maybe that’s the ”honeyed aspect”. This is a limited edition for christmas but to me this smells like summer! So, so pretty!!

I usually don't like vanilla as a standing out note in fragrances. But in this one the vanilla so beautifully enhances the other notes - amazing! I already liked the original Neroli&Orchidée but this Intense version is even better. Love!

It's the baby of Fleur d’Or & Acacia and Néroli & Orchidée, knowing L'Occitane I stocked from it and it grow on me after using so I'm happy I did such a wise decision

A thick neroli scent with a touch of honey, bright yet grounded and an easy wear for (almost) all seasons. Quite beautiful and not too sweet or citrusy. Love it.

I tried this one last week and went crazy. If it was 30% cheaper I would have bought it. It gave me the vibe of tocas Rochas but not exactly the same

This is heavier and spicier than I expected, but dries down nicely and becomes much softer than when first sprayed.

Loved this perfume in my first sniffs. Bought it after I was stuck thinking about it for a few days as it is relatively well priced. Upon use at home however! My enjoyment of the perfume hasn't stuck, the scent is softly metallic, akin to the zing of a citrus green tea brewed down to room temperature with the spoon left in the mug wafted with a breeze through a window left ajar. There is a simplicity here that has appeal, very far from cloying and a very daytime smell. It is an eau de toilette but mostly fades quickly on skin. My preferred way of wearing has been layering with moisturisers and body oils that deepens the subtle darkness this fragrance for a longer wear but I wouldn't get this again. Just a bit too brief after the initial burst dies down within 20 mins. My sister also said this smelled like laundry detergent which I couldn't shake off as it is quite true. Pleasant, not a safe blind buy if anyone would.

I'm sooo happy with this purchase! I'm always after a beautifully sweet orange blossom. My priority is that has depth, it's creamy but still floral. After trying the classics: LDBS, Perdizione, Guimauve, Secrets du Paradis Rouge, etc, I came down to 2 favorites: Guimauve de Noel and La Route d'Emeraude. And now, N&O Eau Intense is the perfect balance between the 2 of them, and much more affordable. LRd'E has a prominent jasmine and pear, which makes it more interesting , but also sometimes slightly overwhelming. Guimauve de Noel can be too powdery for me at times, because of the marshmallow. So I'm very happy I've found this L'Occitane heaven! I don't find it waxy or honey-y for the matter. Secrets du Paradis Rouge has a strong honey note, here is definitely much less. It has natural vanilla extract and it's divine! I'm sorry I make more a comparison than a review, but other people have talked about the notes, so I though a comparison could be also helpful for some. Unfortunately it doesn't last so well on skin (LRd'E has amazing longevity BTW), but I have 2x 75mls bottles, so I guess I'll be fine reapplying.

NEW PACKAGING Just giving everyone a heads up - on October 1, 2025, L'Occitane globally relaunched this scent in new bottle as part of their reimagined and minimalist "Les Classiques" collection. The formula of the fragrance has not changed. Hope this helps!

This neroli scent is soooo elegant and sweet !! i find more vanilla than citrus which it makes it so warm and lovely !! absolutely love it!!!! gorgeous addition!!!!! winter scent!!!!!

Delicious, this is between Gucci Eau de Parfum and Fleur d'oranger de Lutens. Very honey like, a bit bitter also, beeswax animal, so good. ⁝

I got this and OMG!!! Bitter neroli, fresh orange blossom and beautiful NATURAL vanilla! I am obsessed!!! 🥰😍🥰

I can’t place what this reminds me of! Maybe deep dry down of Lush Lust? Does anyone get this??
