Notre Flore Cedar

I am heartbroken this masterpiece was discontinued. This was the perfect blend of fresh citrus, pine, and wood. Marketed as a men's fragrance but completely unisex-both myself and my husband wore this and it smelled amazing and unique on both of us. You would never know we were wearing the same scent. *If anyone knows anything at all similar to this balance of crisp elements-please let me know! I'm hoping Jo Malone's new Black Cedarwood and Juniper comes close. I have D & G Light Blue that contains a cedar note and I do enjoy wearing it but, it does not even compare to this wonder in all heaven and earth! Just an FYI about a major CON I've experienced w/ L'Occitane perfumes: I've had several and noticed they seem to go bad before I can finish the bottle. I always buy directly from the store, I have tried buying from different store locations but, the same problem occurs. Is this because they use natural oils in their blends? I have no idea. The fragrances change drastically, in scent and color, and don't last long after about 6 months to a year no matter how carefully I store them and protect them from direct sunlight, heat, etc. (Cedar was used to the last drop before this happened.) Does anyone else experience this? I still love their products, I just buy the smallest bottles since the shelf life seems limited.

Cedar is marketed for men, but I am a lady and I wear it, love it and would recommend to all the ladies at least to try if it was not discontinued and pretty much sold out everywhere. I love L'Occitane, but I am bummed by their policy to discontinue so many of their great products despite of thousands of requests not to. I didn't love Cedar the first time I tried it on (it was a blind buy), it felt a little too masculine and I still think the opening is on the masculine side, but boy do I love the drydown. Cedar in it gives such comfort and warmness, yet it manages to stay fresh and uplifting. I know I might confuse cumin for cardamon, but I definitely get some cardamon after the opening. No blueberries in my bottle. Oddly enough it reminds me Dior Escale au Pondichery, they have different notes, but there is that cardamon note that makes me think of Dior EAP, but Cedar is far more interesting, longer living and more versatile, great year round. I definitely need a spare bottle of Cedar, as I have feeling my husband and I will use current bottle up pretty fast. Off to Ebay...

OK I'm back after a long time but just wanted to let you know how this perfume mixed with my husband . On me it is plain and flat but on my man it's totaly next universe. If , after a splash of this mixture, I was wondering -oh my , he smells sooooo yummy? is it him or is he wearing something? - is this good for fragrance or not? I totally love this. It's not over the top but it is there. It's not screaming in your face - hey I'm there. It's more like my husband is wearing this perfume not the perfume wearing him, if you know what I mean. Whenever he uses it I just find myself sniffing him and it's very sensual. This maybe the first fragrance that I'm going to stock out just for my husband. At the end visual this: our house , late evening , hubby gets out from bathroom after all scrubing , passes my 2 year old , she turns around ,lifts her head and sniffs after him and says: momy, dady smells so gooood. I'm totally his when he wears this ;))))) And whoever invented this fragrance gets big THANK YOU from me.

I love cedar, so I too hoped this might work for me, but it's too masculine for me. Nevertheless, it smells wonderful! It reminds me of Irish Spring soap...if the soap could be made in a sophisticated way. This cologne is zesty and clean, and the cedar is so beautiful, like when the wind carries the faint scent of trees in the air. I am really not a fan of citrus fragrances, so I love the fact that this is so fresh and crystal clear without having much citrus in it. The cedar tree, its bark, and its leaves completely shine. I would love to smell this on a man. I think a woman could wear it well too, just not me. But the more I sniff my wrist, the more I am changing my mind on that!

Simply wonderful.. I'm a fan of cedar and all types of pine trees, never got a perfume has that remarkable scent of cedar wood. The worst part is, I couldn't find it in any store, if I knew it was going to be a limited edition, I would've bought more bottles. Does anyone know if there is anything similar? Or would L'Occitane launch it back? I wish. One of my favorites. Dears L'Occitane noses, please work on your perfumes intensity and longevity, you have a great collection of perfumes but usually I would always give it a second thought before buying any due to its short life on the skin, seriously guys, do something about it.
