Oud Praline

Lovely oriental sweet nutty praline + oud scent. If you like praline and oud this will be a easy blind buy. Pretty linear, it's is strong but still wearable. Sweet but not sickly. Oud is nicely blended and not too barnyard. It can be heavy & bold. I'm going to enjoy wearing this for winter/cooler months. For reference, I have a swiss arabian shagaf oud big sample decant (often called a dupe for oud bouquet which I don't have), and that one is sickly sweet/strong incense drydown on my skin, it is not my preference. On my skin it changes too much.. Also, I strongly dislike rose notes, so I never went for lancomes oud bouquet. They are the same "vibe" but I much prefer Loccitane Oud Praline, it's reduced the parts of shagaf oud/oud bouquet that I don't personally enjoy. It stays praline + oud throughout the wear and that is what I want to smell. Update: Sprayed on my BF to test, sprayed only one spray on his arm, whew it's strong ! He did not like it and scrubbed it off and still the scent was on his skin lol. Something about smelling it on someone else makes me appreciate the strength of the fragrance. Definitely projects.

Tried it today on skin,and just can say wow!This is sex in a bottle...although it’s pretty linear,I like it a lot!I mean,a lot!...This is pure gourmand,the oud is so well blended,you can smell it,but so nicely blended...yummy!This is gourmand lovers heaven.Forget about any skankiness or any tones in that direction.I could easily recommend this as a blind buy,if you’re into gourmand,not too sweet fragrances.It’s a perfect fall/winter scent.I haven’t smelled something so seductive for a long time.Unisex for sure.Enjoy that fragrance. The only downside is a pricepoint.It goes to niche teritory,and this is “only” L’occitane.This would be great at maybe 80€ scent.

I always try, but I really don't like Oud in these variations, I find it suffocating. Agarwood is immersed in chocolate (indeed, it looks more like cocoa powder), with even sweeter hints. I wouldn't be able to wear it even in winter, but you know, it's my simply opinion.
