Pivoine Flora (2015)

equal parts musky, green and floral, absolutely delightful! sits really close to the skin, feels familiar yet fresh. think meeting your secret lover in the woods at dusk, they bring you a bouquet of peonies. your kisses are chaste but there is hunger beneath them, for which you don't yet have a name. a bit "romeo and juliet," "love story" by taylor swift, medieval and star-crossed.

Beautiful beautiful peony musk, with beautiful green undertones. Very fresh and inviting, and it invites lots of compliments. It's very natural smelling, very floral, and very very pretty. The sandalwood base is smooth and comforting, and it lasts well, over 9 hours. It's gorgeous.

The Pivoine Flora EDT we know, just repackaged. A lovely, natural floral green peony/rose combo with aquatic undertones. Shy projection and moderate longevity, but it is a spring/summer stapple for me. Alas, no option to upgrade to the EDP anymore, as it has been discontinued.

Pivoine Flora is all fresh, airy, even crisp peony, with the barest hint of youthful, plasticky rose. As others have said, it conveys a 'just out of the shower' feeling, making it great for counteracting the discomfort of too much heat and humidity or, in my case, when I have to be around people IMMEDIATELY following a workout. Combined with modest but present projection and about 6 hours' longevity this is a perfect go-to scent for sunny spring and summer days. And I really can't emphasize that post-workout point enough. I'll also say it's long-lasting in the sense that my little splash bottle will turn 4 years old soon, has traveled with me across the world undergoing countless changes in temperature, pressure, and humidity, and has not lost a bit of integrity. It smells the same as the day I opened the box. Another reliable gem from L'Occitane!

So, I have the lotion of this, and I am IN LOVE. Story: My office is fragrance free, so my morning pick-me-up is fragranced lotion that doesn't have much sillage. I wanted the Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede scent, but they only make body cream, not lotion, and it's way too expensive. So I was on my way to Sephora to test and likely buy the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet lotion, my second choice. I passed by L'Occitane and figured I might as well try them out. This is girly, sophisticated, pretty perfection. It is actually like a mix of the Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede + Dior Blooming Bouquet, but for half the price! I feel like a French beauty in a field of peonies when I wear this lotion, and it makes my hands silky soft. It is expensive and beautiful. I will be trying the perfume on my next trip to the mall for sure!

It is a beautiful peony with some pink pepper a la Lancome Miracle ....lovely and clean smelling, it doesn't turn soapy, luckily. The musc isn't overpowering; a shy rose, same from Jardin Secret, mixed with the coolness of peony, create a crispy clean fresh scent that is very inoffensive and nice. Sadly the lasting power and the silage are both below average. I cannot sense any citrus . The bottle is adorable , but not original. Nice spring scent for office, mornings, bedtime .... Clean , fresh, natural , young. It will probsbly get used fast and 10 sprays are barely enough to even smell anything .

I really like this perfume for hot summer days. It is very fresh and crisp, and has a sour hint in it that really works nice in hot weather. The peony note in it is really lovely in itself, and it is one of my favorite "light" perfumes ever. It is very feminine and gentle. Generally, L'Occitane makes great floral, summer fragrances. I do wish it had better longevity, as I can hardly feel it after an hour.

Very clean and ladylike. Not my cup of tea, but can understand that some will find it good and Office friendly. Nice bottle design.

It smells medicinal in the bottle, but once it dies down, it leaves a soft powdery scent. Its too bad it doesn't last long and is barely noticeable.

When I walked into the L'Occitane store to pick up a rollerball, I definitely thought I would go for their rose fragrance, as I was super into roses at the time (and still am.) I am not too crazy about peony fragrances usually, so I just absent mindedly sprayed this one on a card. When I compared this to the rose, I realized this one is surprisingly the better rose fragrance of the two! It's a green, fresh, sour rose fragrance. I guess the freshness and sourness come from the two citrus notes at the top. Deliciously tart, like biting into a strawberry that's not very ripe. It wears on my skin all day, I can smell it throughout the day even without putting my nose to my wrist. It becomes sweeter with time, a little muskier, but doesn't lose the freshness and the greenness. It's like a very leafy rose. I really love this, would recommend to any rose lovers.

Crispy fresh and green peony. It’s bright and astringent but has closed to zero longevity. The woman of Occitane told me she is taking it back from the store, and wouldn’t sell it anymore. I took the last bottle. Because even if it is very shy, I enjoy the leafy pink flower, and I must admit that it’s perfect in the early spring. I use it very liberally, as a body splash, uplifting, clean and energizing. NB very similar to Jeanne en Provence PIVOINE FÉERIE.

skin test 2024, lovely floral, leans clean laundry zone, about 4 hours longevity on me. the top and mid are where its at with this one, the base on me is a little flat. Loccitane fragrances need testing on their own, they all lean clean to me, and delecate, so need that space for you to really see what they do on your skin. non descript floral with a few leaves. pleasant and i think may bloom more in the high heat - like the other florals from this brand

Very clean and cutesy. Smells like you've just taken a shower. It's feminine and clean but doesn't have much of a presence. Spraying this is just a way to smell clean and refreshed. I wear a lot of rose fragrances but I don't really smell it here that much, very mild.
