Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette

Pivoine Flora EDT is tender, sweet, spring floral with aromatic green facets. Simply a feel-good fragrance that will brace you in its delicate natural green floral notes that get just a tad powdery towards the dry down. Among all scents in the "spring peony/rose" category I tried, this one somehow stood out as the least artificial and sugary. Although both EDP and EDT are very pleasant individual representations of the peony flower, I prefer the EDT over the perfume because it stays fresher and is greener, whereas the perfume is sweeter and woodier and frankly, I'm not that fond of the violet note in it. I don't think the EDT lasts less than the perfume, it might even be the opposite. I am surprised that no green notes are listed for the EDT, as it has a mixture of cut grass and sweet dry hay tinted by soft, powdery and delicate peony and rose on a musky, yet clean base. Although it is leafy and sweet as a real peony bud, Pivoine Flora is more like a floral bouquet rather than a peony solo act. It evokes that elusive period when spring turns into summer - the air warming up and getting dense with flower pollen and the leafs on the trees starting to get a heavier shade of green. I really like the Pivoine body lotion. Layered with the EDT it makes it last a bit longer. After the juicy green opening, sillage gets reserved fast. I find the staying power good for an EDT, I can still smell the base notes at the end of the day. Though I admit I like re-applying, I love the green top notes.

I am male and I am a huge fan of the pivoine flora range at loccitane. So I thought I'd try this,wow I loved it straight away.especially when layered with the shower gel and body lotion. I don't usually wear female scents,and my signature scent is Yves saint Laurent 'l'homme' but with this,on my skin,I get an opening of peony rose,but followed quickly by green grassy notes that dries down to a sandalwood and rose smell. This is why I wear it even though it is aimed at women,the sandalwood smell that developes on my skin and clothes is amazing. Last about 4 hours,arms length sillage. But if you like this please please DON'T try the eau de parfum, it is a,completely different smell and very disapointing.

First a disclaimer, I have the roll-on intense EDT not the normal EDT spray. The intense version isn't listed in the Fragrantica database so I'll leave my review here. On the roller ball, this smells of grapefruit and peonies with a hint of rose. When applying, it smells the same, but with less grapefruit, more rose and more watery/oceanic. I love the scent but it disappears quickly and has no sillage. I don't detect any base whatsoever, once it's gone, it's gone. I'd be interested in trying the EDP version as it is a really fresh scent but this EDT, even the intense version, is not worth the money for the longevity.

this is a very nice scent.. floral but light and very feminine,, not a heavy floral at all. L, Occitane makes very good quality, natural scent thats unique and not so sickly compare to other high end brands that is so strong and expensive as well, love this product.......

Sweet peony that I am finding easier to wear than prior reviews might have lead me to believe--however, I would say that applying with a light hand might be better with this one. Very fresh and inoffensive in small doses.
