Rose Safran

This perfume was a surprise to me. When I tested this at the L'occitane flagship store in Melbourne city, I was expecting a spicy, heavy perfume. This turns out to be a citrusy rose perfume that is refreshing, light and aromatic. I love the dry down which is somewhat woody, yet creamy and delicious. The longevity is pretty good, I can still smell it on me after 6 hours. Not bad, L'occitane. Although, I feel that the high price tag is unnecessary but their fragrances do not disappoint. I hope they make this exclusive range permanent and more accessible at their other local stores.

This is the most refreshing perfume I own, and while highly wearable, it’s still pretty unique. Green, citrus, fresh rose, gentle spice, gorgeous. One of my go-tos, and I wish it was not so hard to find, or as pricey...however, I would pay the price again!

This is definitely the strongest performer of the 86 Champs line, with the rest of the line more or less basically a nose-to-skin scent after about 3 & a half minutes... The fragrance smells old school in style, but with a bit of a twist of the saffron adding a bit more of a woody base. I wouldn't go so far as to say oud or leather as listed in the accords, I'm not even sure if warm spicy is accurate as the dominant notes; feels more soft spicy, not even Nandos mild, more like butter chicken smooth. This is a woody rose floral bouquet, & leans too feminine for my personal tastes. It doesn't project loudly, but it actually stayed on my skin through the night & surprised me in the morning more than 16+hrs after test spraying on my forearm (comment edited). This might be too dated for someone who cares more about fashion than timeless style. Would suit a more mature lady who prefers something understated.

Another gorgeous L'occitane with an upsetting performance. These perfumes had so much potential, this line could be very likable and popular as the scents are so pleasant, but people just don't want to buy expensive scented water. If the prices were a tad lower and performance was better - bingo, you have your gold spot. It's just not normal that I have to spray six times to barely feel a thing and it costs 130 euros for this. Just thank you - no, I would rather buy a Diptyque or Hermes for this price.

A dried rose and lots of rough and spicy saffron. I’ve really grown to love saffron in fragrances and this doesn’t disappoint

L'Occitane's Saffron Rose is a musky, soapy scent that sits exceptionally close to the skin with an intimate and clean sensibility. There is absolutely no projection here, but rather a whisper of spices and delicate roses void of any sweetness. This is the scent I wear to bed as it does not overpower or disturb. The bottle is particularly attractive and remains one of my favourite L'Occitane offerings. Elegant, sophisticated, and perfect for intimate moments.

Sprayed to test this one on my wrist at L'Occitane and forgot about it. Only to start to wonder why on Earth do I smell like Kelly Caleche (EDT version) after a few hours! Very interesting aromatic take on rose. But I am not a lover of Kelly Caleche and the likes. (this is after just ONE skin test so please take it with a grain of salt)

More saffron than rose. It's actually like BR540 minus the sweetness, but I enjoy the sweet notes in a perfume so I'll have to return.
