Terre de Lumiere L'Eau

Terre De Lumiere will always have a place in my heart. This was the first fragrance I got myself after I started working. It is a beautiful scent that reminds me of a garden, flowers and freshly trimmed leaves and stems. It has a wetness/greenness that I absolutely love with the pink flowers. I've been complimented a lot of times wearing this (before sillage and projection disappeared in 2 hours). I had the big bottle and halfway through I gave it to my mom because I thought I could move on to more complex, deeper and better performance fumes. However I just bought a 10ml mini (the bigger bottles were out of stock) because I missed it that much, and there hasn't been a perfume so far that's given me the sense of accomplishment and comfort that this one does. This will always be a staple on my vanity and the only thing I hope is for Loccitane to improve its longevity.

This smells WAY fancier than its price point. The peony/pepper reminds me ever-so-slightly of the original Stella, but only the idealized memory if I am being honest. It is much fresher and more effervescent than Stella ever was, and the L'eau name is fitting since it feels quite wet. Dewy peonies in a field next to a citrus grove with a crisp morning breeze floating through is really the ambience this scent gives off. I think the bottle is quite pretty as well. I think that people would ask "what are you wearing?" and then be surprised when I tell them it is just a $70 perfume from a store in the mall. I tend to really like L'Occitane's springier fragrances, and this is no exception. I just learned the hard way to get it while it is in store, because I do still chase the thrill of their lovely peony fragrance that is no more.

I just bought this, after sniffing it on my wrist for hours when I tried the tester. It smells like a Spring afternoon, in a garden full of flowers, especially peony. I failed to smell any almond or tonka bean in this one. I don't like it when the Peony note is too strong, because it becomes too green for my taste (L'Occitane has a peony fragrance that smells like that), but this one is just perfect. I find this one similar to YSL Mon Paris (same vibe), but this one is more floral, while that one is more fruity. Mon Paris tends to last longer, but, for a light floral, this one has decent lasting power (about 3 hours on my skin). It has absolutely nothing to do with the original Terre de Lumiere - that one is a strong gourmand, good for winter time, this is a light airy floral, better in the spring time.

I smelled the EDP a few months ago and could not forget about it, it was so lovely, comforting and calming. And then my sister got me this one, accidentally EDT and not EDP. I luckily like the EDT even more than the EDP (which I have since then also purchased) as it is lighter and fresher. It is an absolutely gorgeous, luminous scent, warm, golden, sparkling in a calming way. The notes form a perfect blend, almond-y honey and slight floral freshness dominate. It is sweet but not excessively sweet, and at the same time airy. It is a perfect aromatherapy scent for me as it radiates tranquility. Lasts very well. I have not smelled the old version in the pink bottle, I have the new apothecary-style plain bottle.

wow, it surprised me in a good way, very nice floral peony perfume. Actualy most of peony perfumes had dissapointed me because of dominating rose (acqua di parma peonia nobile) or being to simple (armani prive pivoine shuzou). Here peony is not so in your face straight peony,it's a bit hidden one but very nice mix with musk,bergamot, tonka bean, black currant. Lucily i cant detect almond note (because it's not my favourite). As for below mentioned arlesiene, that one with overhelming rose and violet gives me headache and definetely wouldn't be my choice, so you have to try both. today i got my mini 5ml of terre de lumiere l'eau and cant stop sniffing my wrist

I have the samples as it is fairly new and it smells beautiful and fresh.It comes out citrusy floral at first but the dry down on me kinda smells like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I love it. Still looking to buy for the full bottle and see the pricing. Edited to add: Now that I purchased the 90ml big bottle, I realise there is no similarity with Chanel Chance Eau Tendre but it does gives me the same fresh but sophisticated vibes. If u like Tendre, Daisy Marc Jacobs I guess, this is also for you. Edited again coz im wearing this today and I checked the reviews: Whats with all dislike? Im really surprised.

Calming clean fresh floral. If you like Juliette Has a Gone or You by Glossier, I think you would like this. So soft and beautiful smelling. A fresh out of the shower with lotions on scent. The floral is soft, and makes this perfect for Spring / Summer. I smell both rose and peony (although rose isn't listed). If you are searching for the notes, it is slightly tart (from the bergamot) and slightly sweet (fruity). Everything is blended very well, it is not in your face at all. It just smells CLEAN, soothing and pretty.

Very sophisticated. I'm very surprised cause usually Occitane fragrances don't stay a long time on my skin. This collection Terre de lumière does. I prefer this lighter version to the original one. Just because in general I like more "clean " scents.. but the older I am the more brave I am , hehe. This is a creamy spring /autumn warm beautiful fragrance. It smells expensive. And its very elegant :) not for the clubbing. ..more for the theatre or first rande vous or dinner with your beloved...:)

Opens with sweet black currant and pink pepper, turns into a fresh bouquet of peonies with a bit of powdery musk. Pretty and very inoffensive, perfect for a summer day. Pulls strongly in the first hour on my skin before mellowing to a little under arms' length.

If something has a peony or black currant in it - I must try it. This one was love at first sniff. This is my new signature scent for warm weather. For me, it has YSL In love again vibe. EDIT: People compliment on this fragrance a lot!

This just works so well with my skin chemistry. The effect is delicate yet long lasting. Never get a headache from this one. I love how feminine it is!

I had the samples, loved the fragrance. A beautiful peony fragrance. Ended up buying a 50ml bottle. Ideal for daily use

Sparkling & lovely partner to the warm original. But it's very different. Stands on its own

Light, inoffensive comes to mind. There is a soapy quality its not overpowering. I do love that sweetness from the blackberry, it gives a slight candy quality to it but overall this is a sweet, soapy floral scent. Its a very French scent if that makes sense. It gives me spring day in Paris energy. But its nothing I would say is extraordinary. Its a perfect day scent if you just want to smell nice. Perhaps its could be a nice spray to use after a shower as well. As it settles into my skin, the floral notes take place. Again, its an inoffensive, light scent. If you want an easy gift, this is your girl. Its dewy and fresh. Like walking past a Parisian florist stand on a spring day as a cool wind picks up. Cold is another way id describe this scent. It has no warmth to it at all. Which i quite like really. Its crisp and dewy absolutely. That bitter note does have its moment in the drydown but its not overpowering. 5.8/10

Slightly peppery peony at the opening that softens down into a honeyed floral musk. I don't think the almond comes through super strongly but it is there as an underlying creaminess. I really enjoy the scent overall and think it is a unique take on peony, but for me it doesn't have a lot of longevity, and that is my one complaint. The bottle is lovely and I feel like it matches with the scent nicely--pink and white are colors I'd assign to this fragrance pretty quickly. If you don't mind re-spraying later in the day or are a fan of layering with matching scented lotion then you cannot go wrong.

A sweet, cheery, versatile scent that would be fun for a date night or a fancy kind of occasion where you don't want to be overtly sexy. My first whiff reminded me so strongly of some 90s perfume that I couldn't put my finger on.. Sun Moon Stars, maybe? A heavy floral, powdery vibe. Quite youthful but I think could be pulled off at any age with the right attitude. I got a sample of this - don't think I'd buy a full bottle, as it's not really my thing, but it's great at what it does.

Big surprise, because it’s sooo different from the original terre de lumiere, the heavy lavender honey one. The lovely opalescent bottle Is a well done, floral, airy, clean fragrance and makes a nice cloud of springtime cheerfulness all around you. It seems to capture the fresh morning light in a gentle peony scent. I get the comparison with chance eau tendre, even if it’s not a dupe at all, il has the same mood.

It is an original, elegant and sweet fragrance. With long sillage. Its use is recommended in my opinion for autumn winter and its use can be extended until late spring. Every single time I smell this fragance I remember the Aromo Flower or mimosa flower. Nice and a little liquorly.

Sweet and unabashedly feminine without being too cloying. It puts me in mind of a more mature Sweet Like Candy or Valentino Donna Born in Roma, but with a more noticeable floral note.

Very much like Burberry "Burberry her" edp. Flowery, crispy, light, not overwhelming, feminine scent for the young lady.

I gotta admit I was reluctant to try this- I had the EDP version of this line and the DNA was not really my thing so I just did not think this L'eau version would have much difference from the original EDP. But boy was I wrong! Okay, yes you can still detect slight similarity between this bottle and the original EDP but in my opinion this one is so much better and unique! The original EDP is strong and woody (almost unisex) but this one's femininity shines bright. First spray is the most magical moment: I have never smelled anything like Terre De Lumiere Leau's initial spray before, it is SO ethereally pretty! And I'm not talking about women wrapped in silk dresses the seductive kind of "ethereal", I'm talking about a magical garden where fairies fly and play around, the innocent kind of "ethereal". I think this is a pink pepper fragrance done right. It is so beautiful and gentle yet unique because I have never smelt anything like this from other perfumes so it really stands out from just being "nice and pretty" but hey she's got a personality too! The only downside to it- and unfortunately quite a significant one- is its performance, this beauty does not last at all! The magic only lasts around 5 minutes before it dries down to a watered-down version of the EDP- less woody, more airy. It is like a skin scent except that you have to really sniff your wrist to smell it. I wish someone could recreate the first spray of this in another perfume and make it more long lasting so we could take a slow walk in the magic garden and sun-bathe with the fairies for a longer time.

this opens with bergamot and pink pepper, shortly followed by the black currant note. some tonka/almond comes in to round out and sweeten the scent. the peony comes through later and is thankfully not too screechy. leave it to l'occitane to create a peony that sort of works for me. fresh spring floral with a hint of black currant that is a bit sweet, but not cloyingly so. a nice inoffensive scent, i can see a lot of people liking this. it's a peony that actually smells good on me, so that is a win, but it's not my personal cup of tea.

Sweet, smells a bit like soap?, flowery, clean. What i like about locitanne and its scents is that when you get really close it literally smells like a plant it came from.

I really appreciate that the perfume lasts quite long on my skin, for about 3-4 hours. Unfortunately it reacts with my skin in a way that the only thing I can smell is intensive bitter musk. For the whole of 3-4 hours. It only happened to me once that the musk note disappeared and I could smell all the beautiful flower notes. Unfortunately I don’t know what caused that and I was not able to replicate that experience. I don’t need pure musk scent in my collection

If you seek for a crispy spring floral fragrance, Arlésienne by the same brand seems as far better choice: articulated, individual, with rich bouquet. L'Eau is too average for a high price. Anyway, for L'Eau they have 2 ml samples and 5 ml miniatures.

Leafy, fresh, fresh florals and gentle wood. Light berry? A little sweet also, continues with a slight duskyness around the edges, a bit green,fresh, and herbs A bit effervescent perhaps After an hour more rounded, a bit drier. None of the l’occitane s last these days

Completely different from Terre de Lumiere, these have nothing in common. L'Eau smells so soft, fresh, clean and sweet but not at all boring. I feel like this is a very neutral yet fun scent to mix with other green/orange/rose/floral perfumes. Great everyday scent.

Aesthetically one of the prettiest bottles in my collection. Leans heavy on the almond and black current on my skin. Great spring like floral that still holds its own on a clear winter's day (probably because of the almond).

Dries down to a nice fresh peony scent with a little pepper and tonka to temper the sweet fruity opening. The low sillage makes it good for use in the office.

This is so good. Such a pretty floral sweet perfume, feminine and delicate with decent longevity. I adore it for Spring and Summer days!
