Verbena Sun

I was in Italy last month to celebrate my golden birthday when I chanced upon this delightful fragrance at the L'Occitane sale at Napoli Centrale. It was only 26 euros! This refreshing, bright, clean, feminine fragrance will always remind me of my trip to Sorrento, Positano, and the enchanting Amalfitani Coast- the lemon and orange trees dripping with fruits; the sparkling, deep blue Mediterranean; the thrilling bus ride high above the cliffs; the peaceful, picturesque towns; the scrumptious pasta and the kind, warm-hearted people. Grazie, Italia! E paese bellisima! I only have 1 small complaint. I wish this fragrance lasted longer. After a while, it stayed close to the skin. However, it was cheap so I was able to reapply liberally during my trip. Using the lotion in tandem will probably solve this problem.

Really ? Is it a sunny scent. can't wait to taste at the boutique. Because summer is coming in my country. Love sea, sand and sun

Back in high school I once purchased Citrus Verbena with my allowance and I loved it. It was my signature that everyone remembered me by. When I left it behind by accident at a relative's house in Korea I let them keep it (they loved that it reminded them of me, and they rarely ever got to see those of us in the States) so my mom took me to a l'occitane store, where I tried to explain the fragrance to the clerk. She found a Verbena and in our excitement we ended up getting a bulk order of 6? bottles. When I realized it was the wrong one, I felt sheepish and just kept it around, not really sure of how to make use of it. It was too grassy, stark and linear on me. It felt like sharp blades of grass Several years later I've discovered that it marries beautifully with Bella by Vince Camuto. Bella smells dizzyingly flamboyant and heavy on me, particularly in Georgia humidity. When layered atop a spritz of Verbena Sun it becomes subdued, graceful and more natural. The two have an interplay that create a sweet floral scent that keeps things interesting by slightly toeing the line between saturated festivity and pastoral calm. The lemony grassy notes also become more sophisticated. Whereas it was linear on its own, in the presence of Bella the musk note arises like a subtle meadow breeze.The combination is so good I might make it my signature. 15 years later,I finally have a use for the fragrance. I should probably also try like an exchange or something, now that I remember they exist lol. 6 bottles is a lot.

Not enough feminine for me, but I love this fragrance on a man: herbal, earthy, fresh, natural, comforting. The kind of smell I like on a man in a warm day. For me it is more herbal than citrus or floral. The verbena is very strong and dominates the fragrance but I can find the lemon and woodsy notes (cedar, vetiver) also. The bitter florals (orange blossom and jasmine) are very subtle. The drydown has a slightly nice musky note you can smell on your clothes the day after. It has a great longevity on me (over 8 hours on my skin and even longer on my clothes).

very clean lemon fresh verbena. Nicely done, extremely summery, I cannot imagine wearing this on a grey UK winter day, it would be like going to the supermarket in December wearing a bikini and flip flops (please note I have never gone to the supermarket in just a bikini and flip flops regardless of season or temperature!) Good summer work scent as its incredibly clean smelling and very fresh, but sillage is gentle. Nice range of accompanying products such as shower gels and lotions if you like to layer up. This is my mothers signature scent.

Citrus Verbena was better, I'm a bit disappointed, not lovable as the previous editions. Too simple and ordinary, lacking something and too acidic to me. Maybe that's a bit sweeter would not be bad, imo. L'Occitane is a good choice for summer though.

I have the milky alcohol free version of this scent. Very refreshing. Sillage is excellent in the beginning. Dries down to a very light floral.

It's surely unisex, as it is positioned by L'Occitane. And jasmin here is not feminine.

A very pretty floral citrus fragrance with good longevity (6 hours) and reasonable sillage. Lovely and summery.
