Verveine Geranium

I have just recently purchased a bottle of this directly from a L'Occitane store in the mall. There is no rose here but the geranium does a good job of emulating it. This starts off with a fresh burst of citrus that is more interesting than your average bergamot/lemon/citron citrus due to the use of lemon grass, Litsea cubeba and verbena. It almost immediately starts to lean towards a very dusty and slightly spicy rose from the geranium and sage. From there it stays dusty from the lemongrass and floral while also still retaining some citrus elements as it seamlessly heads towards the dry dustiness of the cedar with the musk coming through at the very end. This is pretty great if this is your thing and it is most definitely my thing. Performance is respectable for an EdT. Not terribly expensive, so easy to respray throughout the day to refresh. Listed as a woman's fragrance on L'Occitane's website and as unisex here on Fragrantica, I say this is perfectly unisex but I know some people will think it is too floral to be masculine. I'm a man and I say that is poppycock. As someone who loves rose and musk, I really enjoy this, which I consider a dryer/woodier and much cheaper version of Mefisto that exchanges powderiness for dustiness. Also has some similarities to Isfarkind by Ormonde Jayne.

Reminds me of some childhood candy

not as great as more fresh cool scents in the range, Sorbet and mint editions are amazing. Cactus one is great too
