Aura (original)

Vanilla heaven, without a dramatic creaminess. Simple floral-amber. Not mega type of frag, a linear one, but it’s quite fun. My nose somehow detects Eau de Murano in this perfume.

Read the reviews of the reformulated 2013 version of this and was shocked none of the notes from the old are in it at all! I have a small 30ml bottle of the original that I bought at Sephora many years ago. It is wonderful, warm and fruity but not "fruitee". Melons is dominant not cheap melon but grown-up, if you get my drift. Sillage very good and has a powdery-oriental tone. Never had a scent like this! Like to know if anyone has this! Only have less than half bottle left, like a jewel. Rarely use it. I get so disappointed with companies reformulating. Leave it alone! Now if you are pleased with the 2013, that's good for!

Uhm.m.m........ what a warm and welcoming scent! Like a cosy room With the fireplace going, roasted nuts and ripe fruit. Benzoin, Vanilla and ambergris filling the air in this room..... Something like Christmas feeling. This is a goooorgeous scent! I have a mini Aura Original, and treasure it like a gem. The name AURA is really the name for this perfume.

I loved this one. My mother wore it through the nineties and I wore some too because to me, it felt like a cooler Amarige, wich I loved too. But Aura was younger and toned down.

The new version of Aura is nothing like the original. I have no idea they they stopped the original only to relaunch and make it weak and boring.
