Loewe 001 Woman

Update: The more I wear/smell this, the more I am in love with it. It's one of those fragrances that rents space in my head. This is MY kind of floral. As someone who usually loves to wear gourmands, woody, and spicy-leaning fragrances - I have found I quite adore this one. It has just enough sweet & woodsy touches. It's special and underrated. I am nervous to run out of my 1 oz bottle, so I'm on the hunt for a 3.4 size. Luckily it can be found fairly cheap. I still find it close to Blanche Bete and prefer this one to it, although I will be picking up full-size of that one as well. ...I also want to add that Loewe 001 Man is another underrated gem and is squarely Unisex. That one is a more substantial (projects & lasts more than) Byredo Gypsy Water. Similar scent profile, but stronger. That was my gripe with GW so I found a great solution! It's not a dupe. 001 Man is better. Highly recommend both (001's) ♡ Original Post: This has something in common with Liquides Imaginaires Blanche Bete. This comes off like a creamy (almost lactonic) white floral and shares some similar notes in the pyramid. This can even read similar to Kilian LDBS because the jasmine+tangerine comes off like LDBS's orange blossom/neroli. Except this fragrance doesn't get into the cloying category that LDBS can sometimes. This would be a more everyday version, easier to wear. On some occasions LDBS can annoy me, where this is a little bit toned down in that cloying aspect. Overall I really like this fragrance and when I want to wear something to feel more girly & floral I will reach for this over my usual types.

Plush citrus musk. The musk is pillowy, downy, almost lactonic. It’s livened by pulpy tangerine, with sandalwood seeds and a flutter of jasmine stars. It’s a smooth, slumbery caress of a scent. An ASMR croon that everything is going to be okay. I like it far better on my skin (leans tangy) than on fabric (leans lotion-y). Byredo has a body lotion called Le Chemin (that you can only waft at select “Luxury Collection” hotels), which is also a woody-citrus-cream. I was disappointed to find there is no Le Chemin perfume, but 001 Woman is my closest match yet. The most luxurious week of my life was a weeklong business trip where I roosted at the Josun Palace in Seoul and practically marinated in that butter. And, dear reader, some of that Luxury Collection lotion may have found itself siphoned into a few $1 travel containers... Mental Snapshot: A solitary wellness retreat, to a cottage of your choosing. Everything closes by three, but you want for nothing. The grocer at the sun-bleached bodega sees that you get at least two of her homemade sourdough loaves a day. You lay in a wildflower patch, curling snug beneath a marshmallowy duvet, and watch creatures shift in the clouds. You reunite with all your childhood imaginary friends. tl;dr: asmr tangerine 🛌🍊

This is my latest obsession. I tried it on at a mall and it was an instant love. I’ve been looking for an amber-y, creamy, fresh scent after my Narciso Rodriguez ambree (which I still also adore) has just no staying power whatsoever. This scent surprised me for its freshness (I’m generally not into bergamot, it often overpowers things) and it’s young, clean, unassuming nature, while still being creamy and lush. It’s that effortlessly cool girl that makes everything look good even if it’s just a white shirt and jeans. It would difficult not to appear well-put together with this scent. It has a bit of that freshly shampooed vibe, and that skin plump with lotion aesthetic. That might also be because of the coconut that nobody else mentions but absolutely shines here. Can’t imagine myself growing tired of this one. It’s so very versatile, comforting and chic, but without trying. This would do well in most seasons, maybe layered in winter for more depth? I don’t know... it’s taking me somewhere. I feel like I’m on vacation while wearing it. Nothing bad can happen as long as my 001 bottle stays filled.

As often happens, the spray test in the store was wonderful. When I got it home, I was worried. Initial lift reminded me of Creed Millesime, a fragrance with which I've had a love/unlove relationship. But after a few moments, the sandalwood and the citrus started their delicate dance. Then notes of jasmine. Finally, amber notes that give the fragrance a really wonderful presence. It is not at all synthetic to me (except perhaps that initial lift). Earlier reviews mention the price. I got it at Barneys and it was under $100--about normal for anything that's not sold everywhere. For me, a lovely fragrance that has the potential to transcend seasons. A keeper.

I've been obsessing about perfumes and finding the perfect scent. I was looking for a scent that I felt captured an essence of beach saltiness in a more mature way. In a trip to Sephora to hunt for perfumes I started to smell the entire Loewe collection and boy oh boy this one really stands out. I think the Sandalwood in this one, mixed with the Bergamot and pink pepper, notes that I love in most perfumes, really comes out in an unique way on this one. Feel like its very wearable for both day and night, but I just get transported to a really hot evening, going out for drinks in a tropical city. Can't really go wrong with this one I feel.

This is gorgeous! I’m loving sandalwood that’s creamy and not dry. This is a softer and more muted version of Santal Blush. It’s a fruitier and softer with less spice. Seems to be pretty soft and wears close to the skin. This smells so nostalgic to me. Growing up my mom had her fancy jewelry in a fancy wooden Jeremy box and it smells exactly like this perfume. Maybe an inverter this and Santal Blush. I always loved the waft of the spicy wood whenever I would go into her jewelry box. I love this and want the EDT version. That seems to be sold out everywhere. If someone wants to sell me the EDT, please message me. Canada only.

She's cuddly, sophisticated, and professional. The tangerine is sumptuously gift wrapped in the silky sandalwood and amber. It's delicious and very pleasant. It smells like everything being taken care of by the company you're on a work trip for. Really really pleasant and tangerine forward. The musk is the crowd pleaser here that helps make it a safe blind buy. It's like a hug from your fashionable and serene mum who just got home from the office to check on you while you're in bed with a fever.

This is such an alluring sandalwood scent! In my opinion, it leans feminine. Woody fragrances are usually too sharp or masculine for me, but this one is a win. Sandalwood and Jazmin are what I mostly recognize. I suppose that vanilla contributes to the mild sweetness but I hardly recognize it (which is an attribute because I don't enjoy vanilla that much). My skin ends up smelling like an expensive sandalwood body lotion. Indeed, it is extremely versatile. Love it!

Wow, first I sprayed this on my scarf at an airport and it started haunting me. It's a (sandal)woody skin scent with a liqueur-like fruity top note that makes it very sexy. The woody base might be somewhat common place but this doesn't bother me, I just love the whole thing! I call the creamy fruity top a white port wine note and I even get some Atlantic sea spray since this perfume is amalgamated with the city of Porto for me.

What a love! When first sprayed I get fresh cut pineapple (although not listed among the notes) with just a hint of woods. Then, after half an hour or so, mandarin and sandalwood takes over. It reminds me of the sunset on a tropical Island. The kind that is pictured on vintage posters. Orange and pink skies, the huge setting sun and black silhouettes of palm trees. Mysterious!

This perfume ozes class and smells creamy and beautiful sandlewood and amber come through, like a succulent bath wash. I feel so sexy wearing this brought this on my trip to mexico and works well in the heat. I feel amazing different and unique beautiful smell!! 100%

tried this on a whim because i liked the bottle design and couldn't stop thinking about it. it's a beautiful, subtle, fresh yet creamy scent and i can see it becoming my signature fragrance. i wish it lasted longer, i find myself reapplying throughout the day.

I love this. Sandalwood that's simple and sweet, not too hippy or old feeling. It's become one of my favorite easy/dumb reaches. Hard to find -for me in the US. It's well worth trying or blind buying even if you like sandalwood and sweet notes.

for some reason I got mango rather than orange type of note. and i loved it. both the men and women's version are amazing, high quality. this is easy to love

Starts out somewhere between Zadig & Voltaire This is Her without the chemical, maltol vibe and Santal 33 without the pickle tinge. Some juicy tangerine over milky sandalwood. A shy but present white floral facet is discernable. I hate the phrase "smells niche" because niche simply means that the primary focus of the house is perfumery and I'm a self-confessed pedant. So I'll say that this doesn't smell like a mainstream fashion house release. However, it's very wearable and there's nothing "weird" going on here. In the dry down emerges the woodier, powdery side. It doesn't smell like Santal Blush at all to me aside from sharing a dominant sandalwood note (but who knows what 'reminds me of' even means anymore). This is much 'damper', retaining a bit of the pulpy citrus and milkier nuances throughout, which adds some nice dimension. This smells really good. Some thought went into this that's lacking in other fashion releases, as evidenced by the surge in demand for niche fragrances. It's not groundbreaking or super unique in its profile, but it's a well made scent that performs well and suits myriad occasions and moods. Worth buying for sure.

Sandalwood. My eternal love-hate affair. Sometimes too creamy, sometimes too dry, sometimes so suffocatingly pickly it clings as a headache. But here—here, it’s a sigh, not a statement. Airy, smooth, a soft-focus warmth that never overstays. It doesn’t lean Mysore-heavy, nor does it veer into the sharp, pencil-shaving crispness of the Australian kind. Just an easy, featherlight glow. Balanced. Unintrusive. Behaved! Jasmine flickers through, but only barely—a ghost of white petals instead of the whole blossom, caught in the wood grain, smoothening it. And then there’s the vanilla, not thick or custardy but more of a translucent sweetness, like the last trace of an elegant, gourmand-adjacent perfume on a silk scarf. Held taut by citrus, soft but acidic, much the invisible warrior keeping this from melting into oblivion. It's nice (and I say this with no contempt), and nice is all it is. Effortlessly wearable, elegant, clean without being dull. A sandalwood I can say I like, entire composition and all.

Reminds me of L'Eau D'Issey for Women - but with L'Eau's 90's excess toned down and under control. This is a clear attempt to modernize the Miyake classic and make it wearable. There is a subtle melon note here but it doesn't overwhelm like it does in the older frag. It also has the Miyake's somber florals but there's also none of L'Eau's weird artsy juxtaposing of extremely ripe and fresh fruits with the stench of funeral flowers, feces and decay that forces you and everyone within a 2 meter radius to contemplate life and death. Reserved and well-behaved. Moderate sillage. Long lasting. Actually wearable rather than an artwork you are meant to admire and analyze from afar. L'Eau D'Issey fans rejoice. Here is your L'Eau reinterpreted with late 2010's to early 2020's minimalist sensibilities in mind.

Heavy sandalwood here, for sure. If you're not into sandalwood, this will be a hard pass. The fragrance as a whole is very potent and heavy. I sampled this on a clean arm, opposite of the one I had tested another fragrance on, and THIS one was all I could smell. It is incredibly dominant, but I happen to love sandalwood, so that's a win for me. The thing I find obnoxious here is the price. In my opinion, it's completely unjustified and outrageous. This fragrance smells basically identical to Adam Levine woman (which I'm in love with and the notes are far more discernible). Adam Levine's perfume is a TENTH (seriously) of the price of this one and has better longevity and great sillage. Try it and tell me I'm wrong. ;) For real.. save your money.

Really don't get why people don't like this (so far, anyway). This is a great fragrance and certainly unique from what is readily available amongst designer fragrances. I bought this from a fragrance store that doesn't sell niche perfumes, but recently got this as an exclusive to their store from a Spanish company, and to me, this smells niche. It is wonderfully soft and rich - the amber and the woody notes allow it to be different, and the citrus gives it a freshness. The overall first 'sniff' is creamy, cool, feminine, light. Great balance between the amber, wood, citrus and hint of white floral. It slightly reminds me of Jo Malone's Dark Amber and Gingerlily, although it has its own character. This is certainly worth a try and a buy!

Loewe 001 Woman edp opens with a burst of mildly synthetic citrus and pepper. It isn't screechy, but it confidently announces itself. This fragrance reminds me of the finest hand soap at the best hotel as creamy sandalwood blooms on my skin. There is a touch of jasmine in the blend, but it works well with the citrus notes. This fragrance is fresh and warm and brings to mind a clean crisp white dress shirt. I don't detect any vanilla, but the clean musk is very pleasant.

Nice easy reach fragrance for everyday that I can see most people finding pleasant. Definitely smells sweeter on the skin than it does in the air or on strip, but has a good balance of the fresher notes (pepper, tangerine & linen) to keep it nice and airy. Definitely unisex (I find the "Man" fragrances are very unisex as well). I seem to be picking up more the linen notes than others. Nothing super special, but lovely and well blended!

Bought this at the Cancun airport! I don’t recall seeing this sold in the states but I could be wrong. Smells very unisex, woody, creamy and fresh. I loved it at first sniff hence me purchasing it. It’s a good everyday signature scent. Not offensive at all and I will be using this for daytime wear.

I thought I would choose this as my signature scent but I started to get bored of it.. first sniff you'll get the fresh citrusy notes and when it cools down you'll get a nice creamy sandlewood scent.. the longevity is great but I wouldn't say that about the sillage

A rich, creamy sandalwood. Simplistic, yet fancy.

I got this as a surprise bonus scent from a decanter and it’s a very perfume-y perfume. I think the pink pepper is what makes it a bit sharp/screechy. It’s actually interesting when you take the time to sniff out all the notes and check in throughout the dry down process. The pink pepper overwhelms it in the opening and for quite some time after, but the linen and sandalwood notes underneath are quite nice! You get the citrus notes with the pink pepper, but - again- the pink pepper overwhelms. I think this would be a better execution if the pink pepper was toned down. All in all it’s an “ok” scent. I’ll probably wear it occasionally.

Perfectly nice though by no means a raver. A safe and simple, accessible daily wear type fragrance. Citrus opening was a bit screechy with a jasmine heart (a bit on the synthetic side) with the dry (kinda meh) linen scent that supporting transition down to the base of sandalwood and musk. That's where (on my skin) things went sideways. I noticed after 2-3 hours wear time I could still detect the subtle jasmine and vanilla but it's like the base started to smell fermented - like yeast - and not a pleasant yeast. It was a funk - it smelled of funk - like days-old unwashed sweaty clothes or stale bed linens. Ugh.

Sweet, sensual, and simulates a woman's natural body scent (肉欲体香). Sandalwood sets a warm milky base; vanilla brings in the sweetness; and Tangerine adds a hint of acidity (mimics human natural pH)... I imagine this is as how the last girl smelled like from the movie Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, when she was found in her bed naked. It's an interesting perfume... I'd say the notes pyramid is very accurate in depicting the smell. However, it's not my cup of tea, or I don't think it's worth the $$$.

Accessible but basic girly scent. Nice enought, but I can't pick a personality or image for it which is one of core joys in this fragrance life we all lead. And the sandalwood is too "folded in for my liking. When grilled on several occasions, my boyfriend claimed he couldn't smell it.

To me this fragrance was actually more male than female. I didn't really like it for myself, although I think I would like it on my boyfriend :) I think it would be fine for any season, it's inoffensive, it's not heavy, it's not very noticeable but pleasant if you catch a whiff of it.

At first, I love this perfume for its soft woody scent. However, eventually I don't like it as much as I find the tangerine note too strong and it lasts until the end. That makes this perfume smell quite like essential oils.

Smells like M & M Bubble Bath. That's it that's all. Really wish someone put it straight like that, lol. BUT, I got a second hand bottle I'll work through. Not blown away but it's OK.

The opening smells like my boyfriend is sucking on a lemon lollipop next to me. Quite masculine. Dries down to a nice sandalwood, but again, quite masculine. Meh.

It smells pleasant but too spicy and woody for me. Not a bad scent at all.

For me smell like Moldy tangerine with natural smell jasmine 6/10

oh my gosh as much as i hate writing negative reviews but here i just have to stop and agree with every single word said in the previous posts ,i was on my way to a movie and this got sprayed on my by a sales representative just outside lafayet and instantly i told him in his face oh my gosh this is just sooo bad it couldn't get worse than this to my nose i stopped smelling anything on my skin for the past decade befor testing on a paper strip then decide if i d actually let it touch my skin ,the scent is just soooooooooooooooo synthetic even the electronic nose that produced it must have been broken or something went wrong with its soft ware for it smells like the cheapest synthetic woody notes with toilet water in a nausaiatting tap water ,..i honestly dont know where this industry is taking people too it is really getting sad to the point of no return a horrific release after another its so depressing so disgusting so nasiatating ,are they mocking us ?do they really think that people are going to buy this junk just for the nae,i wish it was militaristic it is repulsive it smells like some of the really cheap 1 $ arabian perfumes in a more watered down and synthetic way without character or a sole ..oh my just ruined my entire movie experience thank god i had other perfumes in my bag and wet napkins i was wiping it away as much as i can and sprayed other perfumes ..sorry lowe but the truth must be said ..its a complete disaster in a bottle ..shame on you for mass producing such a horrific perfume and it is headache inducing and nauseating and there is nothing from the accords listed in it its plain weird synthetic wanna be sandelwoody woody watery accord that is repulsive .....what happened to the good old lowee the one in the dark blue iconic bottel ?!what happened to the perfume industry as a whole? its such a shame and a disgrace-to the artistry of perfumery and if we dont do something soon it will only keep getting worse !

My review may be not accurate because I did a single test just on a paper but for now,I dislike it I completely agree with Majesty..this one is all about sandalwood and I dislike it simply because I dislike dominant sandalwood Maybe there's a hint of citruses in the opening if you smell very deeply but after a minute,all left on paper was like more than eighty percent sandalwood and less than twenty percent amber,vanilla and jasmine.actually before seeing the notes list I thought it has a single note:sandalwood Very creamy,smooth and sandalwoody.a fall scent It faded soon on paper.can't say about it's performance but it's not potent for sure ❤❤

I like this perfume. It’s beautiful. BUT I JUST CAN’T WEAR IT. After as little as 20 minutes the scent grows nauseating and stuffy like a dusty car on a hot day. This scent reminds me of sauna - it’s great for you and smells so beautifully... but I could never take it for too long. And this has a very beautiful longevity and projection on my skin. I would highly recommend sampling before committing to a bottle like I did.

This to me smells like a fancy date on a summer night. It’s a sexy black dress in a bottle. He’s wearing a neatly ironed summer shirt. You both seep dry white wine and look deeply into each other’s eyes. The air around you is sparkling with the undeniable electricity between you two.

Got a sample of this after a friend suggested it for me. I'm a fan of unisex scents sometimes but this one is very heavy on the woody and to me leans more masculine or a woman who is less feminine. Not my cup of tea.

It's smells horrible on my skin... the concotion between sweet and sour it's too much for my taste. The longevity it's enormous, this will be with you all day long, til next morning.

Very successful sandalwood-dominance! When talking about sandalwood, we need to mention which type as sandalwood alone is not a single scent profile. This one creates the allure of the rich, lactonic, smooth Indian sandalwood (Mysore), which is "the" sandalwood scent that is most sought after. Tom Ford's Santal Blush comes to mind right from first spray, but I prefer Loewe Woman 001, and yes this is easily unisex and can also be a great layering item for more bright citrus fragrances or to round up extremely harsh, smokey fragrances. I think it creates the soft but long lasting mysore sandalwood oil vibe nicely and longevity hits 8 hours easily. Projection not so much but that's also the case with pure sandalwood oil, this is not made of volatile molecules. I can't help but pointing out 2 very harsh reviews below that I couldn't understand at all - the only thing that comes to mind that maybe some people can't smell this fragrance properly because sandalwood (natural or via synthetic molecules - which is NOT a bad thing) can be hard to smell for some noses, especially if you are trying one time at a store where many other stronger molecules flying around in the air. To write that harsh of a review for a fragrance that you've only tried for one day, one spray, whatever, should be reconsidered. And never dismiss the good chance that your receptors are unique, and just because "you" think a perfume sucks doesn't mean the perfume smells bad. It could be "your" taste, or "your" inability to smell certain ingredients, or "your" olfactory pathway having a bad day/week/month. IG: @talkaboutscents
