Loewe 7 Elixir

Patchouli lovers, don’t skip on Loewe 7 Elixir! It’s a spectacular one! Spicy, warm, balsamic, floral, earthy, with a hint of freshness, Loewe 7 Elixir is an underrated gem. Featuring cistus incanus and red pepper alongside amber, the usual addition to patchouli, the scent smells so intensely hot&spicy but not in a peppery way and also sweet but not in a sickening sweet way. It’s totally different than any patchouli forward fragrances I own or sampled through the years and I am obsessed with how rich, deep and delicious this juice smells. Without more comments, Loewe 7 Elixir goes to my to buy list! I really enjoy this scent and find it very addictive! Winter and fall weather appropriate and I would say unisex, unlike almost everybody else who voted here as this being a masculine scent. I am a woman and I would wear Loewe 7 Elixir!

This is how an Elixir should be done - not a heavy, sweet clump of boozy, woody, and vanilla notes, but a refined masterpiece. The notes are obviously not limited to what is listed. It opens with spicy red pepper that is also a little similar to black pepper; close behind is the incense known from the original Loewe 7, but warmed by rich ambery notes. The incense is the heart of this perfume, and while the scent does not change in spectacular ways, the note itself is very complex. Depending on the temperature and time spent on the skin, you can detect citruses, resins, wood, spices, and smoky notes. It tickles your nose with a woody patchouli freshness covered in ambery and incense warmth. It stays on the skin for at least 8–10 hours and projects very nicely. I love this fragrance. Patchouli heavy, smokey, spicy but fresh at the same time. The performance is great. Due the the slight freshness it has, I can still wear this during summer evenings when I go out with my friends to the city for a beer as well as winter, autumn and spring evenings. I wouldnt wear this during warm summer days bc its just a bit too heavy for that. Unfortunately like all the Loewe frags its a bit overpriced tho. I got a sample of this and before I tried this on myself I decided to check the reviews. A lot of the reviews say it is bad and smells like a 'serial killer'. When I finally tried it I was surprised because unlike the people reviewing this I loved this smell instantly. It is sweet, spicy, powerful, and masculine. I feel like this is something a rich mafia boss would where, like Toni from scarface. This scent makes me feel cozy.

Really good. Actually, the 7 line is great and underrated. This is basically the original with a bit more spiciness. Although, the OG has a lot of pink pepper too. I almost bought the Cobalt version, which is a fresher/marine-like version of the OG but now i have to test it side by side with this one. It's really good. Woody, fresh incense with red pepper in the opening.

I love this, powerful and bold. A little bit overpriced but it smells so good. Loewe Esencia Elixir is as good as this. Try it both by yourself, don't mind low ratings.

Perfect scent and great performance 👌

Loewe 7 Elixir is a woody, spicy, and earthy-mineral fragrance. From the opening you can perceive the incense and clove notes characteristic of the Loewe 7 line, very similar to the original Loewe 7, but without the fruity apple accord. At times, you can perceive amber accords like those of the Anonimo version, almost oud-like. Over time, a mineral, earthy, and spicy aromatic accord emerges, which at times reminded me of Terre d'Hermes. After this final aromatic twist, the scent remains unchanged and remains so until the end of its development. It's a good version of the original Loewe 7 with some elements of Loewe 7 Anonimo. It could be worn daily, both day and night, in formal and casual situations, in the office, etc. It also has a scent that I think will be more pleasing to older people. Its longevity has been very good, lasting up to 10 hours on me and with a regular sillage. If you've been a fan of Loewe 7 or Loewe 7 Anonimo, I recommend trying this Elixir version. You'll likely like it too, as it's more faithful to those versions than the previous Loewe 7 Cobalt, although this one also smells very good.

A fragrance of two halves... Opens with animalic, hay-like notes. It's reminiscent of ammonia and very challenging. Softens after half an hour, when floral and honey notes can be smelt. Then something like pot-pourri, cloves, (wafts of hay are still noticeable.) The second half of the fragrance turns very dark and woody. Has oakmoss and aromas of a classic masculine chypre. Turns camphorous, smokey, with petrol like wafts. Pine needles, musk, ambroxide and patchouli round things off. It's strong, has great projection and lasts on skin until the following day. Suits evening wear or colder days. Uber masculine, and more mature leaning. Different certainly. If you want a beast mode, classic men's chypre, this is for you. It's true that the opening is a challenge but it doesn't last long. Has times where it resembles Beau du jour, but the opening reminded me of Chergui and even Aramis. Try before you buy.

More similar to Loewe 7 Anonimo than the OG loewe 7 which is one of my most favorite scents of all time. There is definitely a clove note here like Anonimo. Just bougt it because I love the collection. otherwise, there is no need for this one if you have Anonimo.

This starts with the typical dry and slightly fresh incense of 7, but it gets spicier and woodier over time. The drydown definitely reminds me of something in the vein of Oud For Greatness, maybe more fresh or metallic though

Very close to Bottega Veneta pour homme. I like it a lot, a very good surprise. I'll monitor it, I hope the price drops further because for now it's expensive. *nothing to do with Sauvage eixir nor Oud for greatness

Blast of patchouli, slightly sweet, and spicy. Somewhat fresh, but not for summer. Nice sillage and longevitiy. Reminds me of those cola bottle gummies.

Not bad, I have a sample and sprayed it on paper a few times and disliked it alot but on skin it's like a sweeter Oud for Greatness without the oud and with chili pepper instead of saffron. I feel like there are lots of fragrances that do this type of DNA better tho so this scent is somewhat pointless.

a blind bought that i got it off notino for cheap. to me they smell like some kind of wood essential oil - but elevated. contrary to most reviews, i think 7 elixir has light projection and moderate longevity, could see myself wearing this when driving in car, ac blasted on a hot summer day. 6/10

For 200 euros u can buy more interesting and original perfume...

Wow, what a spicy scent. Opens up very spicy, peppery mixed with a lot of cloves. Dries down again to a peppery, clove, woody and smokey scent. Quite linear from opening to dry down. Weird scent and probably hard to find a decent occasion to wear it. I personally think this smells similar to Bottega Veneta pour homme extreme.

Christ 🤢🤮 What on earth were they thinking when creating this monstrosity!? This is a HORRID smelling thing. Big fan of Loewe in general, but this...nah, this ain't it. I'd say this is overpriced, but I actually wouldn't even accept this for free. K Bye.

Smells like herbal tablets. Not a scent I would like to smell of! Glad it was only a sample. A definite miss.from me.

Who made this, Frankenstein? It's 20% of the amazing, marvelous, one of a kind original loewe 7 and 80% serial killer

kinda screechy high-pitched drydown that really isn't any better than the original. I get a familiar assortment of metallic woody amber notes which feels like the brand took a look at all the flankers and decided fresh incense was the last thing to tease out of the original formula and make aggressively piercing. Do you think 7 had to be "more resonant"? I don't. It unfortunately loses some of it's character and blends into the ocean of other dior-inspired fresh scents for men. A little of the clove-y interest remains but it's a bit drowned out in the rebalancing they've chosen. Trying the original and Anonimo and this side by side- Anonimo is the most different. It's much more clove and warm-spices with benzoin and vetiver giving this flinty spiced earth impression with traces of vanilla and natural ambery sweetness. 7 is great and dries down to a resinous apple incense. Fresh, woody, clear but complex in the base. Elixir ends up shrieking it's name with sharp sibilance and a faint heart of what makes 7 interesting. Pass.

Smoking Djarums in an old adobe house in New Mexico that has a whole bunch of chile ristras hanging. I believe in a rustic setting like that it would be nice, but in a modern setting...well, maybe avant-garde modern hipsters would sport this in an uber expensive bicycle cafe in Berlin where they serve the salad in an antique Italian-made inner tube. Update: The final stage of this fragrance for me is very repulsive. Some kind of semi-metallic ambroxan-like smell. Absolutely not for me, borderline cantstandish.

At first spray, you might associate it with Sauvage Elixir, but within five minutes, it will unmistakably resemble a diluted version of Oud for Greatness. I can confidently state that this is a replica of Initio's fragrance. The price is the same, so you should choose Oud for Greatness instead.

This one has the notorious Sauvage Elixir qualities, as in, I beg to not overspray this near my face. Otherwise nice patchouli drydown and great longevity. Just a bit strong, smelling it every moment of its opening, which lasts 3 hours, oh and nose blindness (sadly) does not even come.

No denying that it's a good scent, a proven skeleton, but redundant to have it while Loewe 7 and 7 Anonimo exist. I would bury the money to Sauvage Elixir among all the Elixirfest we are having since a couple of years, provided that Loewe 7 is in your collection.

This is quite similar to oud for greatness. But only a bit cheaper.. i should try it side by side but i think that performance is similar or oud for greatness slightly better. This scent is more for everyday and something you can wear to work and stuff.

Several brief statements were made about the release, but nothing in-depth. I'm still waiting for someone to give it a proper review. Is it worth the purchase or not? Come on, someone! I know you're out there – enlighten us, will you? 🥸

Initial blast you get some of original 7 but quickly changes to 7”Anonimo” 80% and a touch of Oud for greatness from Initio 20%. Like a mix beetwen these two. Overall solid, seems to have a great performance.

If you happen to be in Spain, GET IT while you can. Scent is great, and the price is even better. Surprisingly versatile for an incense and patchouli-heavy scent.

This is good but it’s literally a less potent version of oud for greatness! If you love that dna and want to save money get this it’s good but redundant

I'm not sure about this Loewe 7 Elixir, Reminds me a lot like Polo Green.

Closer to 7 cobalt than 7 , this is a 7 cobalt with intensity .
