چه هم نشینی قشنگی حضور مُرکبات در کنار روایح سبز و دریایی وجه مُرکباتی نشات گرفته از گریپ فروت؛در شروع تُرش و شیرین و البته غلیظ به مشام می‌رسه که توامان گوشته‌ی آبدارو پوست گریپ فروت رو یادآور میشه پایداری وجه مُرکباتی به نوعی با بُعد دریایی آمیخته شده و انگار مادامی که حس دریایی وجود داره،روایح مُرکباتی هم بهش گره خورده و احساس میشن تقریبا از همون ابتدا وَجه دریایی عطر خودش رو نشون میده و خیلی شَرجی یا نمکی نیست بلکه باد نسبتا خُنک ای رو زنده می‌کنه که با وجود گریپ فروت و ریحان،تر و تازه تر هم شده به اضافه‌ی تند تیزی جذاب ای که فلفل به عطر بخشیده تقریبا توی هیچ عطری اون حس لطیف و بوی دقیق ریحان رو استشمام نکردم و اینجا هم صرفا یک فضای سبز و ملایم ای وجود داره که میشه به ریحان نسبت اش داد وگرنه برای من یادآور ریحان نیست فلفل سیاه بویی تازه آسیاب شده و سرزنده داره که با زیرکی در بین روایح جولان میده چوب سدر هم کاملا نقش کلیدی داره و به وضوح میشه پیداش کرد که حالاتی وتیورگون هم این وسط به مشام ام می رسید ...همه چیز عطر کنترل شده و به اندازه است و از هیچ ور بوم نمی‌افته؛از روایح دریایی گرفته تا مرکباتی و اسپایسی و چوبی و -تست شده از نسخه‌ی 2015- ******************* scent:9/10 longevity:9/10 sillage:8.5/10 purchase value:7/10 ******* overall:8.4/10

Loewe Sport Men EDT opens with a soft projection of citrus, green spicy, and marine notes. The opening is faint, fresh, common, and OK. The grapefruit opens the fragrance with a quick citrus touch, almost immediately the basil and pepper come up. The herbal, spicy and green touches of the basil are noticeable, more than the pepper. The seawater in this fragrance is evocative of oceanic breezy as opposed to salty water, it makes the fragrance feel airy. The cedar and musk are support notes, both a faint touch in the backstage. Once it evolves, the musk dries up the fragrance adding a very soft projecting touch, but the musk itself isn’t prominent as a note. The fragrance has a noticeable opening to dry-down change, the opening is sharp, particularly both the citrus and spicy notes, the grapefruit is bright and noticeable, however as most of the citrus opening notes, they quickly recede or fade away. On the other hand, towards the dry-down, the basil and seawater take the lead with a touch of projecting musk. Once Loewe Sport Men EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a soft projection, spicy (basil), and marine (oceanic breeze) fragrance with woody and soft musky accords. The fragrance feels airy, slightly bitter, casual, common, delicate, diluted, diurnal, faint, fresh, gentle, green, herbaceous, inexpensive, marine, masculine, modern, musky (slightly powdery), refreshing, short-lived, sporty, weak, and pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020. WOW RATING: 4/10. A nice green spicy fragrance, but very weak. DISLIKE RATING: 1/10. The basil is noticeable but not harsh. UNIQUENESS: 5/10. The notes and resulting scent are relatively common. MASS APPEAL: 6/10. Not offensive, but not a mass-appeal fragrance either. PROJECTION: 1/10. Low, a personal space fragrance. SILLAGE: 1/10. Low, almost none. APPLICATION: 10 atomizations. LONGEVITY: 2/10. Low, about two hours, no projection, and very faint. SEASONS: Spring, summer. OCCASIONS: Outdoor gatherings, gym, office, business, casual, vacations. This is an office-friendly fragrance. VERSATILITY: 4/10. A faint green spicy fragrance ideal for sports and casual wear. GENDER: Masculine, the spicy basil tilts the fragrance to the masculine side but not for much. AGES: Any. RECOMMENDATION: Loewe Sport Men EDT can be purchased for about $50. It is an ideal fragrance for those that appreciate fresh green spicy fragrances but without projection. For others, this is one you can safely skip. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but only if you are familiar with its main notes. SIMILAR: These are examples of fragrances in the same genre. Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mirto Di Panarea Men EDT is a soft citrusy, floral, woody, and spicy fragrance; Davidoff Hot Water Men EDT is a soft projection, sweet, pimento, basil and resinous; Ralph Laurent Polo Ultra Blue is great lemon verbena, basil, and white musk fragrance; Versace Blue Jeans is soft citrus, woody, floral and spicy fragrance; Loewe Sport Men EDT is soft, spicy basil, and marine fragrance. SUMMARY: A soft projection, spicy (basil), musky (light powdery), and marine (oceanic breeze) fragrance with woody notes. The fragrance feels airy, slightly bitter, casual, common, delicate, diluted, diurnal, faint, fresh, gentle, green, herbaceous, inexpensive, marine, masculine, modern, musky (slightly powdery), refreshing, short-lived, sporty, weak, and pleasant.

The main thing letting this one down is performance...it's average...which is okay but disappointing because it develops nicely for the first couple of hours, leading you into a false sense of security and believe that it might be quite long lived. Then...bam! It's gone. Such a shame because this is one of the better 'sport' fragrances I've tried in recent years. Fresh sharp opening of citrus and aquatic tones, offset with the subtlety herbaceous basil and lavender, then a ton of pepper hits and as the woody base of cedar and musk start to dry down, this is actually quite a well conceived, masculine fragrance and not a million miles from it's predecessor. Just to mention that this flanker comes out a mere 28 years after the original surely it hasn't been in the making all that time???? Well as nice as it is it ain't worth the wait even for Loewe fans. I liked it, had it of lasted I would of added it to my collection to prove a point that sport fragrances can be simple and refined and above all masculine. But it doesn't so I won't.

Starts with sharp citrus and a healthy dose of pepper on my skin, soon followed by a dry cedar note that is quite nicely done. After about a half hour, the spiciness is substituted by aquatic accord while the citrus remains present. The watery notes are accompanied in the background by aromatic herbs and the cedarwood. The projection starts moderate and is dropping to skin level within 2 hours. After 5 hours all that remains is a soft aromatic skin scent that doesn't say much. The overall feel is pleasant, especially the first hours; it's the kind that will not offend anyone but will not wake any excitement either as it is pretty safe, generic and synthetic mostly in the drydown, the traditional "sport" cologne. Packaging: I like the champagne gold color, but the lettering looks like a cheap rip off from the Allure line. I'm also not a fan of the shape itself, it looks a bit weird. The smell: When you spray it out of the bottle, you get a really mature vibe (when you smell it close to the skin), it almost smells like a dated version of acqua di gio. I think it's the pepper or lavender that is responsible for this. When you smell it from a distance it smells really good, very aquatic, it has a 'cold and dry' ocean scent to it, almost reminding me of Dsquared Ocean Wet Wood. I think this is a very nice mature aquatic for the 30yo+ crowd.
