Ópera en el Teatro Real

Not certain what possessed me to purchase this perfume. It must have been something in the "This perfume reminds me of..." section that piqued my interest. I've been on the hunt for a lovely jasmine fragrance, so the notes in "Opera en el Teatro Real" by Loewe Perfume spoke to me. This is a perfectly pleasing, non-offensive, gentle jasmine fragrance with some vanilla and amber added for good measure. Linear, non-offensive, pleasant. Performs as an ethereal, diaphanous, soft skin scent with zero projection and limited longevity. I like the perfume a lot. I simply wish it had a bit more presence & personality. As an aside, the bottle & cap are beautiful; the atomizer is the best I've ever experienced.

Very nicely blended perfume. Feels beautiful when I wear it. It has a special element in it that makes it so attractive. I normally am not a fan of Jasmine but this one really converted me. This perfume portraits an elegant, educated, diplomatic lady or gentlemen with a pleasant disposition who is able to enlighten the people around her/him. Ópera en el Teatro Real is complex and smells high quality.

Opens very men's aftershave but dries down to a smell that makes me want to put on a little black dress and go out to a romantic candlelit dinner. More an evening out fragrance. Beautiful! Could be worn by either gender.

2 words for this superb edp. Chick-magnet! Sshhhhhhhh.... Not everyone knows about this hidden gem so wear it uniquely before everyone finds out about it. 9.5/10

Sweet and cosy jasmine & vanilla scent veering towards feminine... Warm scent for evenings and wintry days. Thumbs up!

It is simple but magical. Something "Hidden Wow" within this one. Seems nothing out of ordinary but i am really surprised with the smooth sailing from opening to the dry down. To my nose, the jasmine and citrusy part which is bergamot are vividly existed nicely. At the dry down, my nose picked sort of musk accord, but probably due to the appearance of benzoin.The stated spicy notes i don't really get. This is unisex, versatile and would be great as signature scent.

I quite like this one. Nice powdery white floral. Simple, classic, elegant. Lovely for springtime.

I found a partial bottle on eBay and I ordered it because I love jasmine. It's pretty enough, but I expected more considering the retail price. Not getting the kind of rich, sweet jasmine I wanted, as this is a watery, amorphous white floral similar to many others. It reminds me a lot of Lismore from Waterford, which I gave away to someone who would appreciate it. It's safe for work and shouldn't offend anyone. To me, the best example of this style of fresh, clean white floral is the late and greatly lamented Jasmin Vert by Miller Harris, which is virtually unobtainable now since it's been discontinued. If you like this one, look for a bottle of Lismore; it goes for a lot less on the 'bay even though it's also discontinued.

I have searched for years for something to replace my beloved Sensi by Armani. I’ve smelt 100s of fragrances, and nothing has given me that feeling that Sensi did. Until this one. I’m in love. It feels old fashioned but gentle and classy and clean. Unlike almost all the modern mainstream floral perfumes I’ve tried, this is fairly dry with no sweet fruity notes coming through. This feels the the perfume of an educated classy English lady in a gorgeous 16th century home. Her linen cabinets smell amazing... her garden is always full of exquisite flowers, and she loves to support the arts.

A masterpiece. I usually dislike fragrances with jasmine. However, this fragrance is just the right balance between white florals, mostly jasmine and perhaps some gardenia, and a warm vanilla and a woody note, which feels like sandlewood to my nose. Once you spray this, a strong note of jasmine becomes apparent. Soon, perhaps 5 minutes later it cools down to a dryer more powdery/woody floral. This reminded me of Amouage opus VIII, because of the white floral notes, however, the white floral notes lingers rather strongly in Opus, but fade to a beautiful powdery dry down in this one.
