Quizás, Quizás, Quizás Eau de Toilette

I just can’t believe that after so many years after it was first released this fragrance doesn’t have any comments here. Quizás is a very unusual floral fragrance. The first notes that you can smell are lemon and red fruits. The lemon does not last long and it is not the one reminiscent of toilet bowl cleaners. Think about cool lemonade in summer. After a few minutes the rose and jasmine are in the first row to get the attention but sharing the glory with patchouli and saldalwood. At a later stage I get whiffs of vanilla but nothing else. It definitely lasts ages and the lack of reviews here point out that it is a fairly unknown perfume. Fortunately for me, I own a full bottle and it is one of my favorite fragrances. Besides, it is so unique that the trail that leaves behind intrigues people so much that it is a compliment getter. Well done Loewe.

Perfumes from the house of Loewe are not very common and way overpriced where I live. I grabbed the smallest bottle of edt for QQQ as it was the most reasonably priced. As a collector I aimed to have at least one bottle from every house I come by, but with an ever growing collection and rising prices of be come to realize how unrealistic and silly this is. But I digress. Given the notes, I was expecting it to be similar to Si but it’s surprising not, It starts with an evanescent lemon note then it becomes predominantly cassis-rose-patchouli afterwards. Though it’s somewhat fruity, it doesn’t feel sweet at all. The cassis is not challenging here; though still sourish and green it has no pissy aspect and is quite behaved here. So are the rose and patchouli; they are all prim and prep and in controlled doses, very well blended. It feels elegant but somewhat lacking to be honest. Sometimes the vampiness, or pissiness adds edge and character. However this one will blend in more easily so will do on an office while still being unique.
