Solo Elixir

Well, I get why people dislike this one. It smells weird right of skin but turns beautiful in the air. This is clearly meant to be used as a minimal fragrance. It's not meant to project much and last super long. It's meant to subtly compliment a look or a vibe of a fit - which it does perfectly for this brand. I like it a lot, quiet-ish luxury.

Finally got to try it... Take away the citrus blast opening of the original and add a modern woody-musk drydown, (in the vein of Sauvage Elixir,) and you have Solo Elixir. Notes; spices, something waxy, leather, amber, mint, musk, cinnamon, thyme, citrus rind, tarragon, grassy notes, liqorice, powdery notes, the scent darkens, more cinnamon, incense, nutmeg, wood, more musk, musty-church-like aromas, patchouli, rooty iris, aromatic on skin, chocolate wood notes, rooty vetiver. Has the playdoh note of the original, but you either mind that or you don't? Good quality and no performance issues, masculine and mature, suitable for year round wear during the day and at night when it's hotter. Reminds me of an updated version of the original with darker facets and less freshness. But I do feel if you like the OG you'll like this. Not blind buy safe unless you're familiar with the edt. The original is one of my favourite fragrances and although I don't like this as much, I do enjoy it.

This indeed smells weird, indolic jasmin meeting a weird bitter tarragon. Just a tad of lavender and Iris lurking behind. So different from the original Loewe Solo... Loewe often succeeds when they try to release wearable original stuff, but this is just too original for me to wear. It feels very stuffy, yet unfinished.

Based on a sample. Dried quickly to a strange, powdery, slightly sweet musky thing. Inoffensive, okay I suppose. 2.5/5

Them's them pencil shavings turned all the way up. Hedgehog piss is a little cruel, just dry and bitter pencils.

the original is perfect but this is extremely hopeless
