Un Paseo Por Madrid Doré

Got a sample of this with a recent order and decided to leave my thoughts since it completely went under the radar, like many Loewe fragrances. It's a very nice scent, the best way to describe it would be Lattafa Khamrah but slightly more feminine and less cloying. It still leans very heavily into that intensely rich, slightly starchy, vanilla/praline sweetness, but after settling it takes a different turn and becomes something beautiful and unique. The rose, orange blossom, and patchouli add a complexity to this fragrance that gives it this sexy, dark allure. I also love the way nutmeg is incorporated, it gives it a bitter, nose-catching edge that's spicy and almost effervescent (nutmeg in fragrances gives me the vibe of hot steam), akin to something like Frustration by ELDO. To be expected from this house, the ingredients are blended to absolute perfection and its multifaceted nature makes it very enjoyable to wear. This is a true stunner for winter nights, I would highly recommend this to women who love the DNA of Khamrah or similar fragrances.

I don’t know exactly what makes me love this fragrance so much. It may just be that it’s sweet but not too sweet, unisex but leans feminine and patchouli laced but not hippie smelling. I would love body products in this scent.

Beautiful dark woody and vanilla scent but too spicy for my taste. It’s cinnamon, wood, vanilla and nutmeg - the notes I smell the most. It leans more masculine to my nose. Great for fall and winter evenings.

Like most of Loewes modern fragrances, this is a chemical mess. The opening seemed promising with a powdery cloud, but as it progressed it quickly became apparent that this is not for us. Horrible.
