Elle L'aime

Creamy! Not cloying, but a bit heady at first spray. Then soft, soft and more soft... but creamy. IMO this is a beautiful, soft, beachy type of fragrance. The lime is the most dominant note for me, soft but mixed well with the coconut which is more of a green fresh coconut, not a pina colada type of sticky coconut. You can definitely detect the bergamot and ylang-ylang. The jasmine is sweet and softly swirls around the rest of the fragrances composition. I truly think this is best described as soft and creamy. The only drawback to this fragrance is the SOFTNESS, I cant help but wish it was louder, as it is a very fun, pretty fragrance that I wish would would SCREAM a bit more. I have found myself spraying generous amounts of it, hoping to boost its soft SEXY oomph... I can see wearing this after a day in the sun and a cool shower. Perfect when you head back out on the beach in sandals, wrap around skirt and a off the shoulder peasant top for dinner and tropical night life. I think it is yummy and romantic. I can just picture wearing it on bare shoulders and having my husband nuzzling in, inhaling and sharing a seductive kiss. I am planning on packing it for a cruise this summer. I am looking forward to wearing it for all occasions as it warms up. Even though I like my fragrances a bit on the bold side I am addicted to this soft and creamy juice. I keep lifting my wrist to my nose to deeply inhale this soft but very sexy fragrance. Sillage is soft ;) and longevity is average I may just go spray my pillows and sheets and dream of beach vacations and cruising....ahhhh, so soft and creamy. LOL...did I mention it is soft? ;)

A strong, creamy blend of coconut and vanilla, complimented beautifully with lime, jasmine and sandalwood! Absolutely gorgeous scent! A floral oriental, verging on gourmand. I agree with another reviewer that said the scent smells like buttery cookies. Somehow it does, like Coconut Lime cookies or some sort of Coconut Key Lime tart, with graham cracker crust! It's so light, beautiful and delicious. Refreshing, but comforting at the same time. I also agree with the suntan lotion comparison, but perhaps that is what I like about it? It encapsulates the carefree feelings and memories of summer. To top it off, the bottle is exquisite, heavier than I expected, and looks stunning amongst my little collection. Currently one of my favorites! I would say sillage is moderate. The lasting power on me is about 4-5 hours, but it's a scent I like so much, I wouldn't mind re-applying. I expect it will work well in the heat, I can't wait to find out. I will definitely be trying this out for a day at the beach. As the old song says, they "put the lime in the coconut and mixed it all up" in this beautiful fragrance from the folks at Lolita. I tried a sample of this and fell instantly in love so of course I ordered a full size bottle. It just came today and every time I catch a whiff of that delicate lime and understated coconut mixed in with what smells like a pepper note (must be the bergamot) it makes me smile. I catch the jasmine and neroli as middle notes and the drydown mixes that lovely sandalwood with just a touch of myrrh. I *swear* I get a strong hint of cedar in there but since that's not listed it must be the bergamot that's coming through for me. Upon first spritz it seemed to sadly evaporate off my skin nearly instantly but as I went about my chores around the house I could clearly detect it on my skin. I'd give it a "moderate" for longevity. Looking forward to making this one of my autumn staples this year. Hurry up, cool weather! I think this will smell like dynamite while crunching leaves in my knee boots. :)

I agree with gtabasso -this smells like hairspray on first spritz. But, be patient- After 15-20 min. the dry down is lovely, and the hair spray aspect goes away- It becomes fresh lime, neroli, ylang & jasmine with creamy coconut vanilla -- I love the drydown. The first day of wear (87, moderate humidity) I spritzed this on my skin 5x and the dry down was dreamy, sophisticated tropical and notable for hours. Performance is v. good, but does not project beyond one's own personal space. The second day of wear (hot 98, v. humid day) , I spritzed this on my clothing 2x & 2x on skin - the clothing spritzes were a mistake because the hairspray opening aspect stuck on my clothes for hours (not sure if the heat/humidity had anything to do with it), but the spritzes on my skin smelled great- so spray this one on skin NOT clothes. Edit: Try layering this with other coconut fragrances: SJP Crush or CSP Coco Extreme or CSP Vanille Coco for an improved coconut/vanille jolt ;-)

I have had this perfume in my collection for a good few months now! I love the house of Lolita lempicka, one of my favourite notes is coconut and I was so curious to see LL's take on a coconut summer fragrance! when I first purchased this I mainly got a myrrh note with Lime.. I never knew what Myrrh smelt like before i purchased but to me it instantly smelt of church. Because it smelt so unique i was never sure when to wear this? Few months passed and i decided to test it out the other day, I still get an intense myrrh, lime and I get a creamy coconut which blends everything so well. Longevity was super weak when first purchased.. now i would say it's moderate but just need to overspray If you're looking for a lactonic coconut I wouldn't recommend this. In my mind this is what a goth would smell like but in summertime..this one is for the unique people. ♥ overall I enjoy this fragrance, but still unsure when to wear this!

I've been wearing this one lately and at first I was thinking it wasn't what I'm really into but it's starting to grow on me. It reminds me of Burberry Brit with the lime opening and sweetness. But the ylang ylang and coconut is STRONG on this which gives the sunscreen feel, whereas that one has a powdery almond. I like that this fragrance isn't synthetic or overwhelmingly sweet, I can see this being worn in both summer and Autumn. I prefer this over Beach Walk by Maison Margiela, but I prefer Jennifer Aniston's Near Dusk over this one as that one captures the smell of an ocean breeze with coconut (although Elle has much better projection and lasting power). I'm not sure if I really like it as much as others, yet I've used a surprising amount already so maybe I secretly love it aha. I LOVE layering Paradise by Nest over this which is a blood orange scent, it smells so delicious that I can't stop huffing my arm hahah!

Absolutely divine!!! I just tried this today and it was another love at first sniff!! It's extremely dense, rich, creamy, sweet, warm & sensual... In the car back home I kept smelling the paperstrip, I really couldn't stop, so addictive it is!! I was trying to figure out what notes I was smelling, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I was guessing it would have vanilla and probably coconut and I was thinking something boozy (rum maybe?). Now I got home and finally can see what notes are listed and at least I had 2 of them right :) I really gotta have this perfume! It's drop dead gorgeous!! Breathtakingly beautiful! ♥♥♥♥♥ EDIT: Now that I have it I can tell that on my skin it has excellent sillage for 2 - 3 hours. After this it becomes softer, but still very noticeable. Good longevity as well. 9+ hours on me.

"You put the lime in the coconut ". Anyone my age will remember that song by Harry Nillson. That was such a fun song and it was a great time. This poor perfume that gets no respect reminds me of the song when I put it on. Usually I don't like lime in my scents, but the one in this is so soft and shy that it doesn't overwhelm you. The coconut is sneaky, it's there, it's not, it's back again, just lingering in the background. I have seen a description under other perfumes about a perfume smelling fizzy, now I understand what they mean, this is a effervescent smell. It doesn't last long, but while it does, I am happy. And the beauty of it is, I can reapply it! So in my opinion this makes me happy. I will put the lime in the coconut if it gives me the same results.

UPDATE: I have since tested this fragrance on a couple of hot days, and it is TO DIE FOR! I wore it while swimming and the scent wafting up from my skin coupled with the scent of the saltwater was heavenly! Yesterday, I layered this with a little Aquolina Gold Sugar -- no better combination! Sweet, summery deliciousness! SECOND UPDATE: I just wore this fragrance to a friend's birthday party over the weekend, and I received two unsolicited comments that I smelled "delicious" --- YES! I had this scent layered with Sol de Janiero's Brazilian Crush body mist and it was incredibly intoxicating! Elle L'aime is one of the only scents I own that I know can be successfully layered and tailored to your mood or any spring/summer occasion. In love with this fragrance!

I have Elle L'aime and the Folie flanker. On both bottles the only name that appears is Elle L'aime at the bottom. However side by side the visual difference is clear. Elle L'aime is a clear bottle with gold letters. Folie is a gold bottle with clear letters. I also noticed the liquid of Folie is much darker. Still, it is quite confusing if you can't remember which is which! IMHO Both are beautiful fragrances in their own right and I am hard pressed to pick a favourite. On me, the original with the focus on lime and coconut is a little more playful and perhaps better suited for day time wear whereas Folie Is more sultry and smooth with the emphasis on the floral aspect, I find it quite buttery too ;o) Both are gorgeous and both are worth owning.

I could test this perfume nowhere, so I had to make a "blind buy". Well, Lolita Lempicka never disappointed me before - so I thought "why the heck not?". Now that I received it and sprayed it on my wrist, I must say: it is different from the other Lolita Lempicka perfumes, but it's certainly addictive too. The first thing I noticed was that intense, thick, bright tropical, flowery-coconutty WHIFF of perfume. I just thought "careful with this one!", as it is really intense. But I liked that! I don't smell too much of lime, though. I think it is just blended well. :) If you don't spritz too much, it is a perfume to enjoy. Warm, sweet, tropical, a bit musky - perfect for an evening in a cocktail bar. It will last you a long time.

I was looking for a simple fragrance to be worn in the hot summer days in Rome, and I walk to work everyday so I needed something that would not prevent people to take the elevator with me once I reached my office. This definitely smells LIKE summer, it makes me think of those utmost-relaxation moments when you enjoy a cornetto with your friends at the beach kiosk, surrounded by blossoming bushes and still covered in salt water and sunscreen. I smell the coconut - which is nicely balanced by the myrr and sandal - the ylang-ylang and a bit of neroli/jasmine bouquet. This is gonna be my go to when I need a quiet yet unusual perfume for the hot summer days. And the price is great! Only con: the longevity was a bit disappointing.

Absolutely beautiful! The fragrance is magical and the bottle - stunning! Most of the Lolita Lempicka perfumes I've tried all seem to have a common factor but this one is different. On me, the coconut is the prominent note. I detect a hint of myrrh which gives it a touch of warmth and keeps it grounded. I don't get any citrus. I applied it lightly and can still smell it clearly. I never over apply and like my fragrance close to the skin. This doesn't scream "girly girl" in my opinion but it's feminine and just lovely. Perfect for a summer night. If you're a lover of sweet scents, you should definitely try this! I've been wearing it a couple of hours and already gotten compliments!

My goal is to collect as many Lolita Lempicka's bottles as I can and so I got Elle L'aime and I can say that I'm not disappointed even though I was quite skeptical as the overall description of this fragrance doesnt's sound like typical LL. But hey, I'm not complaining, it's a really good coconut perfume for summer days with average longevity. There's a lot of vanilla in it too and some sweet lime. It's sweet but at the same time fresh and I think it's a perfect combo. I'm waiting for the summer as I get the feeling me and Elle L'aime will be spending a lot of days together.

I got my FB yesterday and was keen to rip into it straight away to see if it was as nice as I remembered from my little sample. It is perfect for summer time, a bright burst of lime followed by a sweet warm coconut. The dry down was a delicious warm woody vanilla that I could still smell the next day! The citrus notes help the coconut from being too sickly sweet (as in bronze goddess and sensuous nude). As an oriental lover I struggle to find a fragrance for hot days but this is just perfect. I absolutely love this and would consider getting a back up bottle.

Personalmente me gustaba mucho esta fragancia y la usaba cuando vivía en una ciudad de un clima más fresco/otoñal luego me mudé para una ciudad de clima más cálido y ya nunca lo volví a usar aquí, pero la principal nota que sentía era el coco, pero un coco "elegante", creo que no era una frangancia tan informal, a mí me olía sofisticada. Yo particularmente no sentía casi el aroma a mirra o especiado, sí sentía un toque ácido o cítrico, pero predominaba un coco con algo más, que quizá eran las notas florales, que en mi opinión estaban bien integradas.

I have a difficult time with some coconut scents. I really love the smell of coconut but I must be anosmic to some of the aroma chemicals they use in some perfumes. For this, I get straight up sunscreen smell. It's a gentle scent. Not weak, just soft and comfortable. I love the dry down, though frankly that's mostly all I get from this. Sunscreen on top and a quietly beautiful base. I seem to like it more in hot weather when it smoulders on my skin. I layer it with The Body Shop coconut products to fill in the coconut I'm missing from this.

Divine fragrance! The bottle is stunning as are all LP bottles but in my opinion this one is ultra classy and looks very expensive. The fragrance is exquisite; I wore it out last night and felt like a million dollars. It smells like sunscreen and coconut but with a citrus twist. I have a bottle of Avon's Far and Away Exotic which is vaguely similar although synthetic and cheap in comparison to this fabulous gem. I can't recommend it highly enough if you adore Lolita Lempicka's unique frags. A must have!!!

I have a mini of this and I am in love. Elle l'aime is soft, warm, coconut and vanilla. I can pick up hints of freshness from the citrus, but it's nicely grounded by creamy sandalwood. The scent's character is sweet, flirty, and feminine, but again that creamy sandalwood in the base keeps this comforting and cozy. It feels like lounging in the park, on a soft yellow blanket, and feeling the warmth of the sun alternating with a soft cooling breeze. This is what I want to smell like all spring and summer.

After the first spray it starts with a sweet note which I really like, it's a floral oriental. I haven't worn this for a full day so I will update after a day of wearing it, it's quite nice and Limey sweet . It's lasting and wonderful. I will definitely purchase a full bottle. This is a warm woody citrus smell, I am thinking of those orange glazed Popsicles with vanilla ice cream in the middle. The sandlewood give it a nice woody base as well as some creaminess and classy expensive feel.

I have a small bottle of this which I haven't used in quite a while. As I was choosing what perfume to wear today, the sun glinted on this stunning bottle and so caught my eye and made the selection for me. This is a beautiful fragrance to wear on a summer's day, it is warm, solar with a vanilla dry down. It does remind me a lot of Yves Rocher Monoi, I would say L'aime is a little more citric. I think the summer brings out the beauty and strength in this fragrance. It is very nice!

This is paradise for me. Beautiful balanced fragrance. Citrus-coconut icecream, maybe ? At the beginning I smell only flowers and some citrus. But later the perfume starts to show in a different light. To coconut citrus version. With a touch of soft vanilla. It reminds me a sweet cocktail. Something like a pina colada. In a good way ! But on my skin is not very sweet (as some people write) Its not like ,,Fantasy ", its just RIGHT on me. And the bottle ! Very cute & glamorous.

Creamy, tropical coconut... Ylang Ylang and fruit... White flowers with a warm, buttery base. Another fragrance that has secured a position on my vanity relegating a lesser loved bottle back into its box in the cupboard. This, along with Guerlain's Lys Soleia and Terracotta, have been my 'go to' fragrances for a few weeks now. I find something about them so comforting - perhaps the Ylang Ylang? Whatever it is, these fragrances make me happy and isn't that what it's all about?

a shot of lime followed by beautiful white flowers enveloped in coconut on creamy sandalwood and myrrh, laced with soft sweet vanilla. the white flowers are prominent on my skin and they are lovely and i like that i can hardly detect the vanilla. so perfectly balanced and quite dreamy and clear. am so pleased i have this...i never thought i'd enjoy wearing coconut! and yes, it reminds me of a warm evening, a tropical holiday, a beach with the sea breeze blowing gently.

I love this. It is warm on me right away. A kicky vanilla with spice and boozy depth. I like coconut rum so maybe that is why I get a boozy vibe. I would wear this from spring to fall and in winter right after a shower before climbing between fresh sheets. It has a clean, exotic vacation sunset headiness. I love that it's not all watery and washed out like a lot of scents for summer that you can barely smell. This is one I will definitely buy a stock of.

After testing more perfumes than I can count (or want to think about) I think I finally, FINALLY found my coconut. 90% of the perfumes that list coconut as a note don't smell at all like coconut on my skin. I adore the smell of coconut so it has been a long, frustrating hunt. This does it. It is sweet coconut, but the lime keeps it fresh and light. Wonderful summer fragrance, refreshing, feminine, and very pretty. And it really smells like coconut!

This is a not getting too much love on this site! In my opinion, I think its great. Easy to wear and enjoy right from the start. Sun tan lotion vibe? You bet! I love it!!! Some scents are no-brainers, meaning that it will work well with almost any setting. I enjoy the vanilla and coconut in this with the tangy zap of ylang-ylang. It's nice at the office with a cool breeze coming through an open window and it's fantastic at the beach and boardwalk.

This is very warm & coconut-y on me. It definitely pulls very gourmand, I visualize whipped coconut & vanilla cream topped with orange zest. The myrrh and sandalwood keep it pretty grounded and stops it from being too foody. While it is very sweet, it's also warm & lies close to the skin. It's a gourmand to me, but not the kind where people start wondering who's eating pie. I think it would be best worn in the evening after a beachy holiday.

Instant love for me! A blind buy based on reviews. The only note in here I was worried about was the myrrh and I don't detect it at all. This is so fresh and pretty. It is sweet and creamy. It does the coconut/lime/vanilla in a way no sunscreen or bath and body works scent can even compare to. It is a summer scent but in no way smells like you are wearing tanning lotion. When I close my eyes I am transported to a beach resort!

I was looking for a fun coconut, lime fragrance and on ebay I got a 80ml bottle of this for under 25 bucks...score!! This is sooooo lovely and everything I hoped it would be, plus some. The lime and coconut are the main stars on my skin with the floral notes giving this almost a pineapple vibe which is so divine. This is the best blind buy ever and in the summertime this will really shine...LOVE this!

First of all I absolutely love the myrrh in this! After spending some time apart from elle 'l aime the myrrh seems much stronger and brings forth it's bitter quality, it's almost like smelling a chunk of raw myrrh. I love how it deepens this sunny, happy go lucky fragrance and makes it golden and wise. Like a matured fairy. Absolutely beautiful and one of my favorites of all time! 💛

A freshly squeezed lime with a sweet coconut topping! A very fresh and happy smell.. It always lifts me up.. I wear it all year round and receive compliments even when I feel like wearing it everyday (like for a week because I usually like different perfumes for each day or even from day to night) I definitely recommend this perfume for coconut and sweet perfume lovers

For me, Elle Laime is an uncanny dupe of Memoire Liquide Vacances Liquide. The treatment of lime, coconut, and white flowers in each perfume is very very similar. I don't own VL anymore, but now that I have Elle Laime, I'm all set for this genre. The perfume is very well blended and the lime, coconut, and florals intertwine so that none are too demanding. Very nice.

This scent is nothing short of incredible , and might be my favourite solar fragrance ever. It's deep and creamy from the florals, myrrh, and Vaniilla. Yet it is also quite fresh from the citruses and neroli with the musk and coconut giving it a a final smoothness. This shouldn't work, but it really does! I may need Elle L'aime A La Folie now....

Love at first sniff! This perfume smells exactly like suntan lotion. I strongly get the coconut combined with vanilla and lime. On my skin the fragrance stays linear with these three notes dominating. If you don't like coconut scents I wouldn't recommend it because the coconut if very pronounced. Siliage is moderate.

On me this is a smooth creamy coconut with just a hint of lime to offset the sweetness. It's pretty and soft and cozy. Perfect for a summer evening. At first I wasn't blown away by it because it's such a mellow scent. But as I wear it I'm appreciating its subtlety more and more. I think this one is becoming a love.

At first I found it smell very powdery, I think it is the ylang ylang. But after around 3 minutes, the coconut scent appears and it is very nice. The coconut scent is more like a coconut milk scent. This does not last a long time on me but there is still a hint of coconut smell left on my arm which is very nice.

Maybe it's useful if someone doesn't like coconut. On my skin it is very similar to Burberry Brit edt, except the coconut. Funny because i like Lolita better than Burberry and the main reason is....coconut! Ok, i finished this coconut thing

I really love this one, and it has became one of my most used this winter for everyday. I don ́t get the coconut or lime, for me it ́s warm and soft, more white flowers and vanilla, but in a subtle, comforting way. Love it!

I was searching for my winter perfume which gives me warm smell. Then I found 'coconut' makes me feel warm and comfy. I personally doesn't fan of flowery scents. This perfume is the one that I searching for my warm winter.

This is really gorgeous and summery in a Holidays way. It’s coconut with great supporting ingredients. To be honest, I layer this with SpongeBob’s Gary and it gives me Soleil Blanc vibes.

I want, want, want thiiiiiisssss...!!! To be my new sensual summer fragrance! But it's still pretty expensive... I'm waiting till I find a good deal.

Elle L'aime is such a lovely fragrance. I had no idea what to expect going into it. I hadn't looked at any of the notes or reviews, I just blind bought a sample to try out because the bottle in the photo looked nice. I honestly thought it was going to be one of those granny, old timey fragrances that I hate and would want to scrub off but it's not that at all. It's for sure heavy on the white florals, but when I want a pretty, feminine, and delicate fragrance I tend to gravitate to the white floral fragrances. There's a bubblegum sweetness in the beginning that I think might be from the ylang ylang but it's not cloying in any way. Everything is softened by the jasmine and a smooth creaminess. I'm guessing the coconut mixed with the jasmine is what is giving it the creamy quality, perhaps even the vanilla as well. In the beginning and mid way, I got a boozy note, like a coconut rum but that dissipated after dry down. I didn't immediately smell the lime in the beginning, but as this dried down the lime sort of encompassed all the other notes within it. Not in an overwhelming way where the lime is all you can smell, but more like if the lime were a person it would be holding the other notes in its palm and holding them out to you. Elle L'aime feels like a mature, tropical gourmand instead of the often high school/early 20's scents that are more tropical, or summer leaning. It smells more expensive than it is. It's definitely feminine, powdery and soft. Beautiful for late spring or summer, but I could see this being worn into early fall. I can't see it holding up in cold weather though. It's not a strong fragrance, for sure leans more on the delicate side so it does seem safe for work or working close to people. Sillage is within arm's length if not a little closer than that but not quite a skin scent either. Overall this is a beautiful scent that I didn't expect to like as much as I do. However, if you're not a fan of tropical scents or white florals, you probably won't like this much if at all.

This was a fragrance that was recommended to me countless times, as I love vanilla, coconut, fun fragrances. I do like it, although I've got to say I had to try it several times to even get an opinion on it. This fragrance is a little strange because to me it splits off in two directions. It has that lime, coconut, vanilla but that heady white floral ylang ylang BAM with it. Oh, and that toasty myrhh base that is atypical of anything tropical really. I tested it again and tried to think about it really hard so I could actually create a review on it, hoping it would clear up my mixed feelings on the fragrance. The first half hour of Elle L'aime I am uncomfortable. The lime is too much for me, too sharp and sour. The next hour is a little bit too cloying with the white floral/ylang ylang chomping at the bit to get into my nostrils. *Note: I wore 1 mL of this fragrance splashed on from a vial, and I am aware that it was probably too much for me! I think I would wear a half a mL for better results next time. When I get to the base I quite like the fragrance. It is beachy warm, I can smell lime and florals, but it is well balanced by coconut and vanilla. So at the end of the day I like the smell of Elle L'aime but it something that I have to wait for. I have been on the search for my perfect coconutty beachy white floral, but I don't think this LL is the one for me. But, I've got to say it was worth sampling 3 times. It is unique and well made, and I understand why it has so many fans. Meanwhile I'll be searching for something more dominated by vanilla, a little less limey, and a little more round and soft. My current favorite monoi is actually terra cotta by guerlain if it helps for a frame of reference. I would like to find something a little heavier and more long lasting though. At the end of the day, I wouldn't be sad if a bottle of Elle L'aime fell onto my lap, a mini/decant would be nice, but it isn't something I would go out of my way to buy. The search continues!

I saw this at a wholesale price in a beauty store, I looked it up and saw the notes, coconut, vanilla, loved it. The price was so good I thought I would give it a chance. Having recently purchased a coconut scented fragrance, I just love it. The many reviews seem good, a coconut, citrus fresh, vanilla scent with supporting notes of myrrh, sandalwood, and white flowers of jasmine and neroli. Smells like coconut/citrus candy, sweet and powdery, definitely white floral with coconut and lime, the jasmine is definitely present, fresh, somehow underneath you can sense the myrrh and the sandalwood, it smells clean but not lavender clean, not cold. It is tender, honeyed, the citruses are not offensive but docile, almost gentle, it does have an ethereal aspect like a silky veil of some sort, the coconut is what I love the most about it. Now to me, the flowers are very noticeable, the jasmine, neroli, and the ylang-ylang, this is a floral perfume, not just a vanilla/coconut scent as voted, it is an airy, floral perfume. It is gorgeous, I would recommend this for winter and fall, it does have a warmth to it. The strength of the coconut, lime, and ylang-ylang notes provide it the tropical/beachy feel with the ylang-yalng standing out. Lime is in this perfume, perfectly done, a distinct lime scent, fresh, sweet, clean lime. The incensy sandalwood is there in the background with the myrrh providing a good base. Ylang-ylang/jasmine, coconut/lime, myrrh/sandalwood. A lovely floral perfume with different notes blending in together beautifully. After a while it quickly made me feel like I was smelling my scented candles, my coconut scented candles, the depth, and scent is so on the spot, it does smell like a coconut scented candle, which is quite nice, soothing and dreamy, a white coconut scented candle. Overall it is a lovely scent, and good if you get it at a discount price, otherwise I would not pay a high tag for it, due to its perfumery simplicity.

I've always loved all things Lolita and blind bought L'aime to try something different, and right now I'm not sure if I like it. On first spritz I like it then as soon as the moisture dries the bergamot overpowers and it's a sugary synthetic bergamot, it smells sticky if that makes sense. I have bergamot oil, it smells exactly the same as this and I don't like it either. Bergamot is supposed to be like a cross between a lemon and a lime and zesty-tart (although admittedly I've never smelled a real bergamot...do they smell synthetic?). Then the bergamot mellows out and it turns into something reminiscent of lemon cake. I'm waiting on the ylang. More ylang please...lovely, earthy ylang and myrrh please come get me! If you don't then someone might be tempted to smother me in icing and serve me chilled with some iced tea! After roughly an hour the myrrh subtly emerges and mellows the cake smell so I smell more of the island flowers and coconut and I'm actually really liking it at this point. I'm no longer regretting my blind buy, as now I'm reminded of sun tan oil and sand up the wazoo (which I mean in a good way of course, beach in a bottle to use year round).. I would have preferred that they used lime straight up with some other lemony citrus note (verbena would smell too much like BBW) but I'm ok now and won't be reselling it. I did this whole progression as I tried it for the first time. Now a few hours later and the base notes are still going strong. I think it moderately projects so people might smell you in passing, my daughter loves this on me. So ok, the first date was bad but there will be more dates leading to a long term relationship.
