Green Lover

Green Lover 2019 "Aromatic Spicy" Maia Lernout. Top: Green mandarin, Pepper Middle: Gin, Mint, Juniper Berries Base: Madagascar Vanilla, Musk New to the Gin notes but I do like different, boutique-style botanical brands of gin. Still, No. 10 Tanqueray is hard to beat. I do smell the gin and since I adore Juniper Berries it is so wonderful. I no longer drink gin, but I still love it. I am a huge fan of Lolita Lempicka. I have Cherry, Au Masculine and just a few others. They may still make the pricey childrens clothing ensembles that made them famous. I do not know the current status. A nice juniper open with a kind wonderful Vanilla which comes right forward from the base. Very modest projection and standard EDT longevity. Green Lover has a nice mint that was formulated to have some presence in the mix. Side Rant: Mint fanatics may find it to be natural/unnatural but the overall effect is just fun and fresh. Mint commenters are filled with treachery. Mint can be characterized as 'toothpaste', 'medicinal', 'overly synthetic'. Just get in there and smell it. The smell is. . .well. . mint. Side Rant: I just want to add that the distillation, fractionation and other types of manipulation can lead to some forms of transmutation. Mess with stuff and it can change it somewhat. If you are a vanilla collector as I am, you will just love this new(2019) and electric combo. Read Sergey Borisov's article (Fragrantica) on this fragrance. You will learn: the pepper is Timut Pepper--an exciting newcomer used even by chefs. Also, Lolita Green Lover is part of Green Mission so the scent is Vegan, crafted for the skin health, and uses materials that can be re-used. Packaging: Atomizer is a broader spray that jumps to the task. Bottle is just plain 'Square Biz' (Tina Marie) with a large leaf pattern. If you collect bottles take a look at the full line because some of the bottles are just. . . beyond! Green Lover is in a tall rectangle with quality weighting. Juice is just frolicking green, and pretty pretty. You know, I set this in a cool place with super soft light and it was like art--to me. Really cheers me up. I strongly recommend all Lolita Lempicka. The Cherry is every bit as good as Tom Ford' Lost Cherry' and more straightforward Cherry not so much Amaretto or cake-ish-ness. Au Masculine uses Anise and it is so different than just about all the others that use Anise. Also, the use of Ivy in some formulations adds a Green that is really fun. Price is totally reasonable. It can take the heat. The open is near electric, and it is so warm and alluring.

The initial spray is a bit strong with the pepper note but it smells so good-- the perfumer's alcohol mixed with the citrus, mint, and juniper does smell like gin but it doesn't make you smell like an alcoholic-- it smells fresh like a clean masculine shampoo scent. A more complex Irish Spring vibe that unfortunately dies down pretty fast. Then you get the scent of what smells like cloves and other mulling spices on top of a soft vanilla. That part reminds me of those clove and cinnamon scented natural brooms that stores sell around Autumn. The strong pepper note keeps this masculine, otherwise the sweetness would have made this a fresh unisex scent. Sillage is mild, and longevity is poor; it lasts less than 3 hours. This can be a safe untested buy if you are into peppery scents like Montblanc Explorer or some of the men's 'red' fragrances like Polo Red or classic Old Spice deodorants. It's not that expensive, going for $41 for a big 3.4oz (100ml) glass bottle. I almost feel like the juniper and mint are the only thing keeping this fragrance 'green' because it has the spice of red fragrances. I love smelling this and bought it for my boyfriend but I worry that he won't care for the pepper. I guess I'll just use it as pillow spray. It's so relaxing. Edit: So I got my boyfriend to wear it and he mentioned that the drydown smelled chocolatey like how he interprets the vanilla in Lolitaland. User named Laoire (a few comments earlier than mine) had also said that the vanilla in this reminds them of Lolitaland. I didn't think as much because the pepper stays strong through it but it definitely must be the same vanilla note chemical or DNA. One of my friends said it smells too feminine like Bath and Body Works sprays and he says it also has a mustiness to it. 😭 Paco Rabanne's Invictus Victory smells really similar but probably costs more. I think Invictus Victory's spicyness is sustained longer on the drydown, whereas Green Lover kind of dries down to just the vanilla. Burberry Brit for men is somewhat similar but more put together with the vanilla note toned down. If you want to spend more money buy Burberry Brit for Men or Paco Rabanne's Invictus Victory

Oh my LORD, this is quickly becoming my FAVOURITE blind buy of 2019/2020. There's barely any reviews online, and this was heavily recommended by YouTube perfume content creator Max Forti. The opening is to DIE FOR! My grandmother grows organic mandarin trees that I practically grew up with & 'Green Lover' starts with a burst of juicy green mandarin with a hint of pepper. Smells like actual mandarins! Within 15 minutes a fizzy, minty gin is prominent on my skin without completely overpowering the opening. Argh it's so intoxicating, irresistible... I loveeee the scent of authentic gin and this is IT baby! In a span of an hour the juniper and vanilla (mostly vanilla) emerge, the latter adding a moderate amount of creaminess. BUT it's not gourmand or bourbon sweet, instead a little refreshing because it's a cold vanilla. The dry-down is an androgynous soft musky vanilla with a sparkling gin & tonic background. It just smells intriguing and cool. However I have to admit the complete dry-down isn't as appealing to me as the opening or mid. Performance is impressive for an EDT: great silage 1st hour, drops down to arms length 2nd hour and lasts a good 7-8 hours on my skin. Verdict: This is an inviting, modern, intoxicating, cool scent with a harmonious balance of feminine & masculine. If you love genuine gin & tonic with a slice of green mandarin, this is for you. Corporate-environment friendly.

Lolita Lempicka threw a curveball with this curiously-named fragrance. It opens with a orange sherbet/creamsicle accord mixed with mint. It reminds me forcefully of the white Tic-Tac Vanillamints mixed with orange. Whether you enjoy that smell or not is subjective, but I will say that it is not an oft-encountered accord, so props to Lolita for that! The mintiness fades a bit and then the "green" becomes more evident. In the mid phase, a sort of creamy, bracing greenness bears resemblance to Dunhill Century, though arrived at in completely different ways. The vanilla endures into the dry down, at which point my wife commented that it "smells like delicious baking", which surprised me greatly, given the name of the fragrance. But as she is endowed with the olfactory awareness of Peppe LePew, I cannot declare that statement as authoritative. So, Green Lover is a strange but pleasing mix of sweet vanilla orange, mint, bracing gin accord, with a hint of greenness pervading it all. I find it intriguing and a nice alternative to overdone modern fragrance tropes. For that reason, some may not enjoy it: it doesn't not smell "familiar" or "mainstream". It is somewhat of an oddity, to be sure, but it just may fill a niche in your fragrance wardrobe you never knew you didn't have.

This is a playfully candied accord that is fresh, breezy, and irresistible, like a dreamy gender free beauty that deserves ogling due to a fluid stride and sprightly presence; a balance that stands on its own as a sexy anomalous drift. Kooky, angelic, and plenty wearable, Green Lover may be that one under the radar scent that places your drift in a uniquely crystal air bubble, not only offering individuality but differentiating itself from the typical gin du jour at a reasonable price. Simply put, this fragrance breathes a whole lotta of sassy fun that is quite memorable with an above average feathered projection/sillage and a socially conscious green Lempicka platform that is deserving of accolades. A summer crush worth pursuing!

Lovely and by no means a perfume for men only, at best it is unisex. Aromatic, tender skin scent with the softest vanilla musk blend imaginable and a dash of juniper berries and green mandarine. Freshly sweet, but not aquatic. Lasting power is impressive, but again, close to skin, no sillage. I would not mind it having moderate sillage. I am not sure it was intentional to name the perfume Green Løver with an "Ø" and place a leaf on the bottle and green leaves on the box, because in norwegian "løv" means exactly that - "leaves"(plural from "leaf"), so it makes complete sense to me. Leafy green love(er). As a kid I had a shampoo with some lovable cartoon character on the bottle and Green løver smells just the same. Shocking how far the memory of a smell can take you, impressive. That said, I can not classify this EDT as masculine. Anyone can safely wear it, even a small child. Now, the bottle is appalingly ugly with a hideous plastic cap, very unlike imaginative and ornate Lolita Lempicka line for women. Why is that? Men have eyes too.

This is one of the best casual fragrances for spring. It is mainly a green minty vanilla, which is the same time very refreshing due to the gin note. There is a hint of sweet, candy like mandarin orange, but I don't get it as much as many people say. The Scent feels ever so slightly synthetic, but it smells of good quality ingredients. It does not evolve much from opening to dry down, and the performance is average, with 6 hours of longevity and a moderate projection. It is suited for day wear mostly, and for everyday casual settings. It is a quite special and different scent and it will definitely get you noticed. It could also be a nice summer date night fragrance, if you want to feel a little more playful. The price makes it a hidden gem really, I personally picked up the set with the 100 ml bottle, the aftershave and the nice green cosmetics bag for less than 50 euros, so I absolutely recommend it even for a blind buy if you like vanilla. Been looking for some mint perfume these days so I chance upon this when I did some research. A local departmental store has this for sale so I head down to just wanna try it out and who knows, there was a special offer going on! There's a 40% discount for a 100ml bottle and I bought one without hesitation. Oh my! This smells so good! Its thirst quenching. The initial spray is a blast of peppery green mandarin and then slowly the gin and juniper berries kicks in which stayed on for a long while before it dries down to the beautiful musky vanilla. The transition phase from top to heart does reminds me a bit of 24 Elixir Neroli. I must say though this is not a mint noticeable perfume I was hoping for, I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm more than happy to have discovered a scent that's so beautiful and quite lasting. I feel this perfume could be unisex, ladies will love this scent too.

I blind bought it because I love green vanillas, and I adore a realistic mint note so I imagined I couldn't go wrong with this. Upon first spray I was flabbergasted by how similar it is to Diptyque's Eau Duelle! It really smelled like Eau duelle for a minute or so but then developed further to this beautiful, almost fairy like green vanilla with a soft, lingering mint note. It's not a juvenile, synthetic mint, it smells very photorealistic. It's just a tiny bit peppery too which adds complexity to the perfume. No gin here though, but nevermind, I absolutely love it! And for an edT it actually performs very well. I've worn it for six hours and it's still going strong. A very safe blind buy if you like green vanillas such as Eau duelle and Alluring fig. I wonder why this is targeted towards men though? I'd love to smell it on a male, but to me this leans very feminine.

Bonjour à tous Je viens de recevoir un échantillon et... Je ne reconnais pas distinctement les notes, tout est bien mélangé et aucune note ne se détache les unes des autres. Ni frais ni sucré. Très agréable. Une chose est certaine, au bout de 2h, ce parfum devient un crémeux, addictif et puissant. Et toujours très présent et fort sur un vêtement le lendemain. C'est décidé, je le commande. ❤️ Mise à jour... 2 jours plus tard, aussitôt reçu et essayé . D'abord, le flacon est magnifique, à côté des autres, il ressemble à un diamant vert. Ensuite, côté parfum, je suis heureux de mon achat... Il est puissant, dure longtemps, c'est un crémeux vanille sans concession,... Mais Limite girly !!!! Pour les amateurs de Parfum de barbier, de fraîcheur et autres iodés ... Passez votre chemin !!! C est tout le contraire. Mon prochain achat sera le lempicka pour homme. À suivre. ⁝

Playful, refreshing, and really androgynous, I find it hard to find any extreme masculinity in this; if anything, I feel like it's more boyish, which is really appealing to me! There's a lovely youth to it despite the herbal and botanical qualities. Even though the junpier and gin really come through, it isn't dry at all. It's a juicy scent that has LL's signature licorice accord, even though licorice isn't listed as a note. I can imagine characters like Link from Legend of Zelda wearing this. There's a youth to it, but also an optimism, which makes it effusively likable. I'm excited to try this in Winter and see how the boozy elements thrive, but it's definitely a refreshing alternative to the citrus dominant Summer fragrances out there, which tend to bore me. It's a light enough vanilla to stay buoyant on your skin during the hot months.

Well DAAAAAANG! So I was under the false-impression that Green Lover would be a "Glose to the skin" possibly fleeting experience, but I was certainly way off! Green Lover starts off smelling of Green, u ripe Orange and Juniper berry "Gin" yet its NOT a boozy fragrance. As ya get into the mid, the Vanilla begins to peak through and join the Green Mandarin and Juniper making for a total "Niche like" experience! The performance is pretty darn good too! Green Lover lasts a good 7 to 8 hours on skin with Moderate/polite projection creating a beautiful scent-bubble around me. The scent is linear, but its such a pleasant and interesting scent that I dont get tired of sniffing it throughout my 8 hours work shift. Lolita Lempicka- Green Lover gets a very well desrved 8 outta 10 in my book. CHEERS!!!

Fresh and gourmand, probably not a combination you'd come across often! The citrus top notes are very well blended with the vanillic base notes which somehow translates into orange sherbets paired with a refreshing glass of gin and tonic. Maybe not quite as "green" as the smell of rain and cut grass, but definitely fresh and herbal without being excessively aromatic. I can see why people think Green Lover and Lolitaland smell very similar - there's a bit of a minty freshness in both, but the saccharine peachiness in Lolitaland gave me a massive headache. It's strange to anthromorphise scents but something about Lolita Lempicka's perfumes tend to evoke a sense of playfulness, or even cheekiness. This has grown from a little bit of intrigue to a big love!

I used it in the summer and it didn't smell ok or wow, but in spring, autumn and winter it smells the best (it's 70% like Nishane X Ani ), although some say it smells like TicTac... it doesn't smell like that to me, a little when I used it in summer season smelled like that , in the rest of seasons it smells like a tart with lemon syrup and powdered then with vanilla sugar after 3 hours it becomes powdery on me, with 6 sprays I got 8+ hours which shocked me that it can withstand so well at temperatures from -5 to 23°C. We could say that it is unisex, especially because it is very similar to Nishane X Ani. Not a beast at projection but for the price is really ok and is safe for a daily office job because is not going to disturb anyone.

if an orange creamsicle had a beard. a very interesting rendition of the aromatic-citrus-vanilla blend that I quite enjoy. the orange, mint, and pepper very quickly give way to a cool, herbal vanilla. the mint is very natural; it's not ice-cold like spearmint gum or peppermint extract, rather as if you rubbed a fresh mint leaf between your fingers and picked up a whiff of the oils left behind. my skin eats this up (or I just go anosmic) in no time, so I find myself having to reapply after an hour or two, but I don't mind. as someone who gravitates towards feminine scents, this is a standout, unique vanilla in my collection. wearable in any weather imo, and I can't wait to see how it performs in heat.

The aromatic green and citrus combo is terrific, especially in the heart of the fragrance. In addition to the mandarin and pepper in the top I also immediately get vanilla. It dries down on me as mandarin, gin/juniper with hints of slightly dirty musk and milky vanilla (almost like eggnog). Overall I really like this fragrance. It leans spring/summer masculine; I have a hard time imagining many females wanting the ever-present 007 shaken-not-stirred gin accord. Except maybe Bond girls ;-) But I’m not one to judge. If you like it, go for it. I don’t have anything else like it in my collection. Bottoms up! 🍸

So, I blind-bout Green Lover bc the way its been described intrigued me, wWOWw! Its really beautiful and even better than Id emagined it'd be! Also it has more "push" than I thought it would. Starts off somewhat Tart, fresh and zingy, I can definately get the Juniperberry. As it dries down Im getting a dry, powdery vanilla with touches of mint and florals.. Man it really is very nice and VEEERY Unique indeed! Cant speak on performace bc I just now spritzed some om for the first time and so far I am very impressed. Be back for an update! I reaññy dig this tho!

Trying more to appreciate fresh scents and thought ‘green vanillas’ would be a good starting point. The gin note in this is very literal, so prepare yourself or you’ll feel as if you’ve just taken a shot of Tanqueray. It softens into a really clean vanilla. Not soapy, but clean, as opposed to cake-like or edible vanilla. I wish it was an EDP so it had a chance to last a bit longer on skin. It’s cheap though, so I don’t mind reapplying. Also, this feels very unisex to me as opposed to being marketed as a men’s fragrance, if that really matters at all.

The beginning is wonderful with the orange, vanilla, and gin. Wish it lasted longer. It then transitions to a smooth, airy, and slightly sweet(a little like a not overly sweet, fluffy vanilla cake) vanilla that is not cloying at all. The vanilla is balanced with little hints of orange and gin notes(dominant note is vanilla). After 5-6 hours it transitions into a slightly chalky vanilla that leaves more to be desired in my opinion. Overall, Green Lover is a very nice, airy and refreshing vanilla fragrance that is excellent for the first 5 to 6 hours.

I blind bought this and I love it. My husband said it's his favorite fragrance. I think it is perfect for spring. It smells similar to L de lolita in the opening but soon transforms into a green popsicle! It reminds me of sunny summer days as a kid. I would eat popsicles and ride on the back of a wagon attached to the lawn mower while my dad mowed the grass! Great memories. This is very nostalgic. It has great longevity and imo it's unique. It's sweet and fresh. Warm and cold. Its beautiful for everyone. I'm gonna be wearing this all summer 🌞
