L’Eau Jolie

Just got this today, a bit of a blind buy, since I haven't actually tried this in any form. I've had encounters with previous Lolita Lempicka perfumes, and each one ended in disaster. Their signature "underscent" that is somewhat creamy-salty-licorice has always been a huge turnoff for me...but after repeated reviews talking about how Jolie is NOT the typical Lolita Lempicka (maybe odd one out of the family?), I decided to take the Leap of Faith. It paid. Marvelously, too! Thank you all you awesome gals who reviewed on here about it! I would have hesitated and missed this gem! I only wish I got the bigger bottle, but then again...great things come in little packages, and this gem is precious exactly because it's so petite, and the amount so little! I have to say, though, before anything else, that my skin tends to be a "warm" base...it takes too easily to bases like amber, vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and coconut. So my skin tends to like to amplify these scents whenever they're in a fragrance, to the point where it kills the scent and I just smell like I over applied body lotion or something. :( Ok! Gratitude, gushing, and griping aside, time for the fragrance itself! When I first applied it, there was definitely a delicate, floral scent. Sort of like how it smells like when you walk into a flower shop, or as extrasensorype points out, "graveyard flowers". It's not by any means unpleasant, but a fresh kind of floral. Not heavy, or green, or white, just...fresh floral. :) A minute or so later, the fruit notes come in, but they are also very fresh and juicy, in a fresh-out-of-the-juicer/blender kind of way. Very natural and light, and the pear, though juicy, is not overbearing. The Nashi pear, with is slightly floral smell, pairs well with the peach blossom, and tones down black currant to give the frag a nice, fruity smell that isn't in-your-face or too sickeningly sweet. LOVE!

This is so well blended I can't pick apart what I smell. All I know is I wanna bath in it! Love Love Love. Its fresh and sweet. My 2 fav ingredient, pears and neroli are present and it smells good. The current are done well not aggressive, and thank god no anise or licorice bc I can't stand those note. This is the reason I didnt order the original Lolita instead opt. for L'eau jolie and no regrets! **there are some sections of this perfume that smells like Oscar de la Renta Live in Love perfume. Another one of my fav =)

i blinded buy this because of the pretty bottle (one of the most prettiest i think. the other prettiest is Shalimar Initial) and the fact that it is said to remind ppls of body shop moonflower (discontinued). Monflower is my first full bottle frangrance and i liked the scent. I miss it for all those years so i have to try out Jolie. Jolie definitely reminds me of moonflower from the first spray! it is a bit sweeter then monflower but i have no complaint (afterall it is not moonflower!) and i am very contented.

Light, fresh, floral, fruity, and elegant. I am comfortable wearing this in any setting. This is extremely important to me since I do not want my fragrance to make others uncomfortable. This is very unlikely to offend others as it is very subtle. I won't do it justice if I try to describe this scent... it is nuanced and sophisticated. Suffice it to say that it is probably the most loved fragrance in my wardrobe... I bought a back-up bottle after wearing it once. Scent: 10/10 Silliage: 2/10 Longevity: 5/10

This is gorgeous - I get ripe, rich pear,with hints of peach blossom and neroli drying down to a clean musky base. I don't get any of the black currant note which is fine, since I don't care for it. It's a very delicate and completely feminine fragrance. It may not be a very unusual scent, but I have plenty of those to choose from. I find L'Eau Jolie to be a very joyous fragrance, and I've ordered a full size bottle.

I smelled this blind and was surprised to see what it's meant to be. To me it smells a bit like fresh squeezed lemon juice. No peel, just the juice, with a bouquet of lovely flowers. I think it's quite lovely and the bottle is just as pretty as it can be. I would give this to a young girl who isn't fond of the sweet, vanilla based scents, or who wants something different to add to her wardrobe.

This is the first Lolita Lempicka scent that I have actually enjoyed. It's a crisp, slightly sweet, fruity floral that has very good sillage and longevity on me but I do spray liberally. It was also very inexpensive and a 100ml bottle was only 25 bucks. I love the bottle too, so pretty. I love this one and it's very refreshing in the summer heat. :)

Very juicy, less "sweetie" than other Lolita Lempicka, and fresh. A good surprise : I was afraid to smell a new "Morsure d'amour". Pear and musk are very present, it's delicate and feminine, very "Miss". I immediately purchased it ! Perfect for spring and summer. Correct lasting power.

Like fruit in a bottle. It smells like lolita lempicka when they try to come up with a people pleaser.

I purchased some samples of this and was excited to try it. While I've always loved perfumes I've been more of a casual buyer and I'm new to the perfumista world. I've been trying as many samples as I can so as to discover what I like and don't like, what the different categories mean, etc. I'm learning that fruity florals, if they don't have a strong spicy or woody note to balance them, usually aren't my thing. This does have a strong musky note that becomes more intense as it dries down, but it still smells juicy, light and sweet. It's very pleasant, it's just not for me. There's a fresh, aquatic quality to it that keeps the musk from warming it up and I'd prefer it to be warmer, more like skin and less like a spritz. I LOVE Lolita Lempicka's L'eau en Blanc which is also light and fruity, but has a base and a powdery quality that makes it more of a comfort scent. I'm 30 and it feels a little young to me. I could give it to one of the teenage girls in our youth group without worrying about ruffling their parents' feathers. It's worth trying if the above qualities are what you're looking for because it is nice. I'd like to smell it on someone else. But I doubt I'll repurchase after using up my samples. Oh, and the pear note is VERY strong and distinctive even to a newbie. If you like pear, you'll probably love it. If not, be warned.

It is the perfume of the forest fairies. Feminine, romantic, enchanting, unique and special. Contains magical mystique. In my case, lolita lempicka fragrances, I find too sweet and dark, I tend to like lighter scents, so I've always stayed away from them, but with this new version I'm in luck because it is lighter, more right for me. I've finally fallen into the charms of Lolita Lempicka. Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 ****** Es el perfume de las hadas del bosque. Femenino, romántico, encantador, único y especial. Jolie is very different with other lolitas,it's fresh,bright,less sweet,young and flirty It's not groundbreaking,unique and seductive but it's clean,refreshing and gorgeous Jolie is a combination of delicate blossoms,fruity notes and soft,clean musk very springy,also fresh and crisp enough for summer days,it's inoffensive, easy to love and feminine,a safe gift for light fragrance lovers It's not heavy and sillage is soft,but longevity is acceptable. I love it's apple shaped glass bottle with white and golden leaves on it,I also love it's beautiful freshness,without being citrusy or soapy or childish fruity,just a tad powdery

Actually i adore Lolita Lempicka since i smell their original male 10+ years ago (yeah, u can see that it is in my love list) and i always run to test new one as soon as i heard they publish the new fragrance. But i'm hesitate to try this scent coz i feel neutral or disappoint in their recent juices ; Si, coral, fleur defendue, l eau en blanc BUT i'm wrong. This one dont have Licorice signature scent but it still pretty good. i didnt see in note list but when i smell it, i think of jasmine tea and It smell better than L'occitane jasmine green tea that i took 2 years to found and own it. Soft & pretty. i like!

When I am opening Lolita Lempicka's perfume boxes, I imagine Christine Daae ( from "The Phantom of the opera") discovering the musical box (with that monkey on the top). They all are so sophisticated and creative. The perfume is nothing like traditional Lempicka's creations, it's radiant, sparkling, bright and sunny. Black Currant makes it rich and sensually deep, pear makes my mouth water, flower bouquet in my hands makes me smile, neroli turns men's heads and finally the musk leaves me in a transparent, dazzling, coquettish veil of fragrance. A very feminine, unique and classy scent for seduction and love.

This has openings of sweet pears and honeycomb Melon which is beautiful and then it has a trail of dust. The type of dust you smell in a vintage London theatre or on top of pretty silk flowers just subtle but i like it. It reminds me of Grungettes/ Grunge girls-Nirvana girls in the 90's dark berry lipstick, side flicked hair moody faces femme chic mixed with some masculinity wearing the most feminine perfumes to lift the edge of their looks. Like the captivating complexities of hypnotic poison and Lolita...I am wearing this in bed....it's good.

As previously mentioned in the comments below, this is a different kind of Lolita scent. It is not as sweet or as "thick" like the other ones. It's more radiant, fresh, and sparkly. A modern fruity-floral. When considering all the listed notes, nothing in particular stands out (but all are there), so imo - the frag is really well blended. Great choice for school or work, and certainly more suitable for young(er) women. In other words, this is one very girly, summery, casual frag. Inoffensive and unpretentious. I like it :-)

My first impressions on this perfume is that I very much dislike the opening, it's so synthetic in a really bad way. Luckily, the opening isn't too long (20 min) and it's mysterious, chalky and pretty. I'm unable to distinguish any notes except the pear. Projects arm length and last about in between moderate and long lasting. By the way, I'm virgin to any other perfume of Lolita Lempicka. This is the first one I've ever owned and smelled. Excuse my inappropriate earlier comment.

I own the EDT version of L'Eau Jolie by Lolita Lempicka and I am confused. 1. My juice is not pink like what the picture shows here, anyone just has like the same thing with clear water-like juice? 2. There are many reviews that describe this fragrance differently like I personally do not smell anything creamy.. or peppery. Whatever my nose picks up is whatever @KladfvbungMicshk described. Cucumber ish scent yeah! Basically, fresh, with like floral, soapy notes.

It has an aquatic floral scent. I like the combination of the soft sweetness of neroli and sexy musk with peach blossom as the main ingredient. The pear and blackcurrant seemed to disappear rather quickly. It may seem synthetic, but it's a refreshing scent that seems to go well with summer. I thought it was completely different from the original LL, but I got the impression that it was similar to the original LL in terms of the scent after dry down.

enchanted spring in a beautiful bottle :) oh Lolita Lempicka, how you evoke the imagination inside me...this is what the first day of spring in the fairy realim smells like! gathered pears, juicy berries, fresh cut picked Peach blossoms surrounded with Neroli just in time for the first day of the spring gathering, the fresh aroma is intertwined by the scent of the Cedar wood from the forest where the fairy realim is hidden..

I must admit I do love this despite its simplicity. I was surprised to stumble across this at my local store so I just HAD to try it. When I think of Lolita Lempicka perfume, I think of heavy licorice and sweetness. L'Eau Jolie keeps the sweet, but is definitely not heavy in the slightest. Crisp, fresh, and feminine, I find it's the complete opposite of the original Lolita Lempicka. And I absolutely adore it.

Jolie is watery and fresh floral-fruity with a little Woody essence. It's in the same vein as My 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden. I'm getting a lot of pears and neroli....initial blast is very sweet and green. Developes into musky florals and fades down to a powdery skin scent that feels cooling after 3hrs. It's a lovely fragrance, very spring imo. Longevity 5hr.

A sharp, refreshing, fruity floral, with a dated peppery note that I just can't define! It is that exact "peppery" feel that kind of ruins this perfume for me. Not overly crazy about "L'Eau Jolie", but I still like it! Good sillage and pretty long lasting, it's "coolness" makes it perfect for Spring and Summer.

This smell sweet but not too sweet and flowery i really like this , if you like fresh perfum this is a good one,for those who like glow jlo this lolita lempicka l'eau jolie is better choice because its more sophisticated,i apreciate the creativity of the bottle and the carton box its so cute and classy.❤️

I have to admit that I bought this one just to have one of those precious little bottles... Anyway, it smells nice and close to the skin. Not a masterpiece or a terribly sensual scent but suitable to wear in spring/summer.

L'Eau Jolie is likely a (not much older) aunt of the original Lolita Lempicka Eau De Parfum. Aunt Jolie is rumored to be just as much of a sprite, imp, and general gossip as her niece, but she just never gets caught? :P

Like a fresh spring breeze through apple blossom trees. Light, sweet, floral & fruity. Great for casual wear and non offensive. Simple and fresh. Similar to DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom, but more floral.

I accidentally bought this when I meant to buy the original Lolita Lempicka! No wonder it didn't look or smelled like I expected to be. L'Eau Jolie sounds like your everyday safe floral - musky scent.

More fruity than floral, the pear note is most prominent--sweet and inoffensive, a little young. Feels more suitable for a teenager or college-age person.

The smell reminds me of japanese tea. It is really soft, not sure about the longevity. I liked it, but not enough to buy it, at least not right now.

Nice, delicate, unobtrusive, summery. Content fits the bottle looks well. Nothing special, but pleasant.

I was so disappointed - maybe because I had high expectations, I normally love Lolita Lempicka. It does not smell bad, rather fresh and creamy. But it also smells like Veet. Why would I want to smell like depilatory cream?

I permanently don't have a sense of smell. I had my husband smell this one and he told me it smelled like an mature 40 to 50 year old teacher. It wasn't great.

Straight from the nozzle, you could smell the musky peonies, and this is what I first perceive on my skin, along with a bergamot-like presence that is peppered with peach. It's actually a little richer than I thought it would be, but still manages to retain a somewhat light quality throughout. As far as I can tell, it doesn't develop much, apart from becoming a little more fruity as it wears on. Its powdery texture reminds me of some other rose-centered perfumes that I've tried, but have no fear rose-haters, it doesn't resemble a rose in any way, even though at some points, it gets a little jasmine-esque. A while before it dies, it gains a deeper creamy peachy woody (forgive the many y's) feel that is like a pretty skin scent. In more ways than one, L'eau Jolie is a disappointment, to me, that is. It feels like a lazy perfume that refuses to accomplish its full potential. On me, it is neither rich nor light enough, neither fruity nor floral, neither powdery nor soapy enough. With some perfumes, combos like that work, but with this, it just feels half-baked. Lukewarm. I wish Lolita Lempicka had worked on giving it a defining edge, rather than leaving unfinished ends. It is not horrible, by any means. In fact, I do believe that this would make a rather unoffensive day-to-day perfume, but it's just not one I would bother getting an FB of, which is terribly disappointing because I can see how this can be a fairly elegant and feminine perfume. I'm sorry to say that there are better perfumes out there with similar notes that do a better job. Longevity: a little less than 3 hours Sillage: Next to none. I have to hold my hand up to my nose to get a sniff.

L’eau Jolie doesn’t project, but it doesn’t need to because it doesn’t smell good. There’s nothing gourmand about this perfume. If your food smells like this, it has gone bad. L’eau Jolie opens up with sharp blast of glue and soap. Once it settles on the skin, it smells predominantly of a green freshness and black currant with what you can maybe imagine as pear lurking underneath. Then it gets weaker to where you have to put your nose close to really get any smell, and it smells sour, with unbalanced mixture of sharp fruity floral smells. Once it fades to musk, it becomes bearable. All in all, not a safe blind buy.

I'm hoping I have a bad sample because for me, this opens with a lot of very artificial red froot, which is either Slushee or a bad interpretation of ripe currants. No florals and an apathetic musk. After several hours there's been no development and the projection seems like it's embarassed. I've sampled several Lempickas I've loved, some I don't like; but this is the first where my reaction is that it's poorly made and cheap smelling. Hope springs eternal... I tried a sample, and feel disappointed. It starts with sharp citrus scent, then comes a plain floral scent (really plain!). Musk and floral are blended okay, but I can pick some scent that makes me feel headache. I don't know what it is, maybe either naroli or cedar, it smells like old ladies's clothes or something like that. I just don't like it ! Also, I can't smell any sweet from fruity as they mentioned in the description.

It is blooming kind of fresh. I don't like it, it's a little sharp for my taste. I don't sense any pear note or musk. I think there's definitely neroli and that blossom note. Some wood as well. It imitates blooming trees kind of well, but is still too synthetic smelling for me to like it.

Absolutely nothing left of the original Lolita Lempicka in this. This is a clean, dry fruity floral, almost a bit detergenty, with crisp, screechy pear. Kind of musky. I have smelled a million things similar to this before and I will smell a million more. Not too stoked, sorry to say.

Not sure about this one as it doesn't appear to have the Lolita signature 'underscent.' It rather reminds me of 'graveyard flowers' which is reminiscent of Petale Noir from AP which I gave to my mum. I may persevere but I will have to be in a particular mood.

Smells like melon and flowers to me. And I feel they ought to have categorized this one as aquatic. It's nice but I feel I have smelled others just like it.

Oh, how I wish I could smell intricate little details in perfumes. I have up and decided that my nose is broken. Or warped. Or maybe it's my skin, or my chemistry, whatever that really means. I never smell what others do... I blind bought this after reading about all the Lolita flankers. The original smells very powdery with a touch of licorice and a very woody dry down. I tried the EDT and grew to like the soapy freshness, and seeing some of the reviewers bought at shoppers for $20, I took a boo at my friendly neighbourhood shoppers, and voila, there she was. Unfortunately, I lied when I said it was friendly, because it was in a sketchy neighbourhood where the clientele likely has a penchant for walking off with the testers, so all the perfumes were locked up and therefore I couldn't try this. I figured what the hell, I can't take it with me, so spent $22.40 (tax). After ripping the package open, I was hoping I would have a flowery open with a lovely fruity middle with perhaps a powdery dry down. Yes, the initial spray I smelled flowers. It turned into something I've yet to put my finger on that I get from certain perfumes. I thought maybe iris, or maybe what others may refer to as "aquatic"? I wish I can take my nose and have someone else smell it so they can tell me. Anyway, it's the same sort of scent I got from (don't laugh, I'm really not crazy) Acqua di Gioia and a number of other cheap store perfumes (Victoria's secret, Hollister). The awaited dry down escaped me completely. I have to put my (broken) nose right up to my wrist and I do get a bit of powder. Don't me wrong, it's inoffensive, and very much a safe blind buy, but I just really wish I could say I smell pears or peaches or even something remotely woody (though I'm not a fan of woody like Flower Bomb or Prada Candy, and at the end of it, the original LL). I like the sweet gourmands, the simpler the better because obviously my nose is simple. Give me licorice, give me custard, give me vanilla. I'm just not the flowery kind of girl, I guess. Anyone want to swap a bottle of this minus 2 sprays? Edit: I had a eureka moment (or a d'oh!). The note I can't put my finger on is the "synthetic" je ne sais quoi that some reviewers have mentioned. It's something synthetic that just doesn't smell entirely right to me, and it could be something they put in cheaper perfumes to cut the cost or something.

The opening is a very fresh, almost aquatic fruity floral dominated by peony and soft peach (I guess this is what's called peach blossom here). Quite charming and pretty. It goes to a short stage where a nice and fresh minty note shows up and vanishes almost as fast as it came. Then neroli shows up and gives a fleeting feeling of jasmine combined with other flowers, but this lasts only a few minutes. L'Eau Jolie quickly moves on to a faint drydown made of musky neroli and peony. In less than an hour, it's only a skin scent already, and I can't even smell it on me unless if I directly sniff my wrist. Where is the pretty opening gone ? This would make an inoffensive office fragrance or a Summer perfume for the hottest days where every other fragrance is too much. It will also make a perfect first perfume for a very young girl, as it has an innocent vibe that would be appropriate for a young teen, the apple bottle is so cute, and it's so easy to find online for cheap. As for me, the drydown is much too faint and generic to make me want to buy a bottle. I finally had the time to try my sample and it was nothing that I would have expected from Lolita Lempicka. My experience with her creations has always been edgy, abrupt (in a good way), a true grand entrance. L'Eau Jolie is by far the "well behaved" sister. She is fresh, and full of inner sunshine. At first the black current comes on as a solo act but soon the musk joins in and "mellows" the journey. This was within the first 10-15 minutes. The peach blossom is almost not detectable, as if the musk is trying to calm an already mellow tone. Thankfully the peach is juicy enough to hold its own and brings a beautiful refreshing essence. I enjoy cedar but I don't detect even a hint of it whatsoever. With my chemistry, perfume longevity is usually a battle but I am happy to say that after 9+ hours it was still detectable without having to bury my nose into my wrist. Friends commented how pretty but only when they were within 2-3 feet of me which in my world is perfect. I think this may be because I prefer to wear perfume in my hair is the warmer weather. The outcome may have been different if I had applied on my skin only. This is not the normal Lolita juice. It is delicate and reserved and pretty. It's not a statement fragrance by any means but a very ladylike.

I recently purchased a bottle of this perfume online as a blind buy. I have tried LL's original perfume and while I find the scent pleasant, its not something I really want to wear on myself. I had a friend who loved it so I gave it to her. But alas... I really missed that cute bottle. So yea, that's pretty much the reason I got this one. I generally like floral fruity, fresh, and green type fragrances so I knew this would be a safe blind buy for me. First spray smells very floral and fresh... like an intense bouqeut of flowers and grass. It makes me think of nostalgic memories of playing in a flower field on a warm, sunny afternoon as a child. Like others have mentioned, it does have an innocence and softness about it. While it is not listed as a note, I kind of smell tuberose or gardenia.. maybe it's just me. It's a very nice scent that dries off into a soapy smell that kind of reminds me of the bars of soap that you get in hotel rooms. Seems to last a good while on my skin. It smells warm and a bit creamy and powdery on me. Overall I'd say it's a safe and inoffensive perfume.

This perfume brought everything full-circle for me. This really is a lot like Body Shop’s discontinued Moonflower, which was one of my first perfumes and I had completely forgotten about it. It’s also a bit like Amouage’s Reflection, which is my signature, and I didn’t realize all these connections until I sprayed this! Anyways, this is fresh in a watery way, slightly cucumbery (that’s the pear), with a bouquet of pink flowers (I’m catching some rose). It dries down soapy. I’m going to be brutally honest here but I think Reflection by Amouage is blended in a more natural way where it smells like a force of nature. Could be the quality of the ingredients. This one is more synthetic, slightly more fruity and perfumey but much cheaper. It does have great longevity though, and dries down to one of the most beautiful soapy musks I’ve come across (same as LL). All in all great for the nostalgia and cost, a safe blind-buy if you like Moonflower or if you want Reflection but don’t have access to it.

Jolie is exactly like this page suggests: fruity, floral, musky (woody to me), and fresh. It's a loud sharp citrus in the open that doesn't last long, then a pleasant (however-- generic) floral with a woody drydown. It smells like other things, sure... but this is actually unique in my collection because I'm a gourmand nut... but I'm also a LL collector. I actually can't pick out the notes... "Fruity and gourmand flavors of black currant and rich Nashi pear open the composition that continues with coquettish heart notes of neroli and peach blossom. The perfume closes with a sensual cloud of musk and cedar." Except for Cedar. I don't get currant or pear, just citrus, but I suppose the sharpness IS the currant. I don't really get peach blossom. But overall, it's wearable, gorgeous bottle, and pleasant. It's fresh and floral. This has nothing in common with any other LLs... def not a summer version of the original. If you are looking for that, this isn't it.
