Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin 2006

warm happy fragrance , full of tender and intimacy , very cozy whenever worn , i love it in winter time

Apparently, this is the same as the original and I was able to find a bottle of this for quite a bit cheaper than what I was able to find the traditional all glass original for so I just decided to get this instead. It's a great fragrance, so far I don't get the performance that everybody is talking about, but it's only been one day and presumably this has been sitting for years without being used. Typically this results in the first series of sprays being lighter and sometimes even with very alcoholic smelling juice, so yeah if this ever happens to you give it some time. Anyways, I really like it a lot, I don't know quite where to stand because I assume this will only get stronger and better, but the smell is really good and there's nothing quite like it. I get the comparisons to Midnight In Paris, it definitely has that vanillic/resinous vibe plus it has the licorice note which is completely absent from MIP and makes it quite different. Aside from that, the ivy note gives it this underlying green, floral sort of vibe that also is very different from MIP and presumably any of the other Annick Menardo creations like Bvlgari Black and presumably also YSL Body Kouros. It's definitely a night out type of fragrance for the fall and winter, it's a bit sweet for the summer or as a typical signature daytime type of scent. Maybe if you're a night owl, this would be a nice signature scent. I also get why people would say that this is a great Halloween fragrance as it does have that candied sweetness type of vibe, I would definitely wear this to a Halloween party, but also probably any other type of fun get togethers in the fall even. I'll need to continue to wear it more to give it a really accurate review, so take this with a grain of salt, but as far as first impressions go I'm very pleased with it and I think that this is going to be a very strong like or perhaps even a love. It's a bit disappointing that I found this as it's starting to get warmer outside though, but maybe where I live I could even sneak this in for summer nights.

Very nice rich scent that dries down to a Vetiver-woody base with some praline and a touch of green. Different from current scents and almost edible. I love this one on the guys, but I sometimes wear it myself. It isn't strictly masculine on the dry down, being more of a foody/woody modern.

Totally agree with tessture's review below. Very unique for a men's fragrance; not unlike the women's version. Aromatic with plenty of personality!
