Lolita Lempicka Elixir Sublime

Nothing like the original Lolita Lempicka. This is an amber bomb ! And a gorgeous one. Benzoin is missing in the notes, but it's the main note I perceive here, together with vanilla and labdanum. Elixir Sublime's vanilla reminds me of the kind of vanilla used in L de Lolita Lempicka. Liquorice adds some more sweetness, but this fragrance isn't gourmand, it's a more traditional oriental, dark and mysterious, meant for Fall and Winter nights. I totally get the comparison with Hypnotic Poison EDP, although Elixir Sublime has its own personality. It's not very strong but well balanced and worth the money. If you love amber and liquorice, you need to try this. Instant love.

It starts with a smooth Licorice note. Nothing sharp or edgy about it. Soon the Violet & Jasmine sneak in and they soften it up even further, almost making it slightly powdery. They really shift this fragrance into a more feminine feel. The Vanilla adds a bit of creaminess and the Tonka Bean adds a slightly sweet nutty note but it’s not too much. Then you have the Labdanum which brings a beautiful sexy warm Amber to it to round it all out. This perfume is really beautiful. Not as potent and In your face as the OG Lolita Lempicka but it’s very nice for say, date nights, special dress up occasions, or even just as a bed time scent.

I fell in love with it from the first spray, and it only gor better after that! It's such a beautiful vanilla fragrance, and on my skin in lasts until the next day. I rarely find fragrances that last like this on me. It's vanilla with a kick, extra sweet but also spicy. I can imagine why this may not be for everyone, as if i try hard enough it does ressemble the smell of medicine. I also got instant compliments from my boyfriend saying I smell amazing. The only bad part is that it's been discontinued.. I can only hope they bring this beauty back :(

At first squirt this brought me back to my mother’s brand of tobacco. I get a tobacco/bourbon vibe. After a while I get all of the notes outlined above: The powder, amber, still bourbon. Creamy. Tobacco fades. I don’t sense the licorice though. I still love this. I grab this for a night out.

it's regular LL on a cloud of vanilla and tonka. i get mostly violet, vanilla, tonka, licorice and a tiny hint of jasmine. the licorice and violet are strong in the beginning but blend in and settle down later on. this is like a more creamy comforting version of original LL.

Another review mentions Pink Sugar which I really don't like, but this one is a LOVE for me. It smells a lot less licorice-y and much more subtle in general. Soft, creamy, sweet vanilla and tonka with the well-known Lolita scent. It's one of my favourites from the brand.

When I bought this, I was disappointed that it was so similar to the OG Lolita Lempicka. However, it's a softer, less anise-heavy version of the OG, and it's a lovely nighttime, need-to-relax scent. I alternate between this and Killian's Princess as my bedtime scent.

Warm, cozy vanilla with a little bit of a liquorice and violet hit. But if you layered Kayali Vanilla 28 with Lolita Lempicka edp, then this is what you’d get!

I was surprised by this one. I was expecting a rich scent being an elixir. It's much more powdery and less sweet. The violet, wood then a little vanilla and licorice. It's much more soft yet not weak. A friendly, calm fluffy cloud of a scent. On me it smells feminine. Almost girly. Relaxed and care free. I get average longevity and sillage at the most.

Sensual, warm vanilla, which sits close to the skin and creates nice gourmand-sweet aura. The spiciness of licorice and tonka is delicate. With labdanum I find it stronger. This scent is easy to underestimate but it is not naive. Actually, it is quite addictive. :-) --- Moderate projection and longevity. I'd not mind to wear it all-seasons.

Pretty, fresh & clean scent. I imagine myself wearing this in my late 20's to early 30's. Reminds me of original nivea cream, even though it doesn't exactly smells like one. Day time and office friendly.

I had a high expectation after I saw the rate of this perfume. Hmm, smells like a creamy vanilla candle, that's it. Soft, stays more than 6 hours on skin but nothing special for me.

This is Lolita Lempicka does Pink Sugar. I love le parfum and mon premier but this one was nauseating because I can't abide anything that has a pink sugar vibe!

I was SO excited for this but it’s really boring! It’s a fuzzy and soft vanilla? but has no spine. Where is the labdanum? Tonka? Jasmine? It’s like a cloud of light licorice and some vanilla. It’s also not very sweet. I dunno, It’s like they wanted to appeal to too many and so I doesn’t really develop into anything. BTW people are tripping: Alien Essence Absolue? You must be out your mind! That is one of the best fragrances period! This smells nothing like AEA, that’s a sexy, thick syrupy caramelized jasmine and myhrr fragrance. Hypnotic Poison EDP? Nope! HP has a spine! Just because a fragrance has a note or two in common doesn’t mean they smell alike. Edit: it’s been 5 months and my bottle has gotten some air inside from decanting. I will say I do get a better sense of the fragrance now, it’s more pronounced and way more interesting. It’s still no where near Alien Essence or even Hypnotic Poison. It is fuzzy, cozy slightly sweet and nutty. More of the licorice has come forward and more Violet in the opening and I sense a lot of vanilla. I like it the more I wear it but I guess I expected more.

I think the licorice in this smells a lot more pronounced on my skin than the og... and smells quite masculine on me too. I don't like this to be honest but it is a beautiful scent. Its heavy, thick, intense but wearable... very long lasting too (around 10+ hours) with moderate projection. I think guys who like the og edp but cant wear it or hasitate to wears it should get this version instead.. well at least try it out.. if it still available...

Creamy and soapy smelling. I'm not a huge fan of it. It seems to give me a headache. Think of a vanilla candle only with a lot more baby powder and Dove soap note. Was a blind buy and I semi-regret it.

I’m disappointed by the lack of violet and licorice in this. Like- none at all. I get a generic creamy amber vanilla. It’s a pleasant bedtime scent.

I prefer this one better than the original Lolita Lempicka. Because of that one I thought that I don’t like licorice and tonka but in this one..I enjoy both, combined with vanilla it gives a bozzy vibe. No creaminess or powdery feeling, also not synthetic but when I sniff my wrist I imagine gold honey like liquid gold, sticky in a good way. It makes me wanna cuddle and travel to a cottage in the mountains, everything inside is dressed in wood, I feel the woddy notes and a warmer smell like you have mulled wine and some alcoholic flavoured biscotti. Ok, ok, Christmas vibes, cold, fire, spices

I like this a lot. But I only get licorice in the opening, and then moves into vanilla (no florals). To me, it’s similar to L in that it’s got a creamy sweet vanilla vibe that reminds me of flan. But this one starts off as licorice, and L starts off citrusy. I can still pick up the licorice after some time, but it’s subtly in the background. This is def more vanilla to me, and I don’t pick up any florals, but florals are hard for me to distinguish, so maybe that’s just me. It’s a nice perfume though, and I’m glad I found it bc I can add it to my LL collection.

You'd love this if you love the original LL dry down - or the identical middle/dry down of LL Illusions Noires Si Lolita Eau de Minuit - and were looking for something similar, and imo, more similar to sunscreen. Even though there's no cherry note, I swear there's a touch of the cherry that's in the original LL. The jasmine makes it smell the slightest bit indolic and musty. It does get a taaaad plasticky or barbie doll head like, then sickly sweet at the end.

I can't believe I finally managed to get a bottle of this. This is gorgeous, the LL base, but with all amber, licorice and labdanum goodness. It's rather warm to be wearing this now, as this one would be perfect in fall or winter, but even in this heat, it is gorgeous. I like that it is not syrupy or vanilla sweet. I really adore LL, and I really like this elegant take on it.

Just smells like the og to my nose. I can mildly understand the comparison for hypnotic poison but to my nose I smell nothing similar and hp is superior to this in my book (although I have also been obsessing over hp the last week after neglecting my bottle for like 2 years lol) Gonna have to sell it, 20 minutes in and I have the worst headache. Ugh.

This one is in no way similar to Hypnotic Poison at All. I have a ultimate nose for perfumes and trained for over 20 years. This one is definetely a dupe to Joop Le Bain. the drydown is 99% same. Opening is lil diffrent. but after 15 Minuten it's the same. It has disappointed me so much as this one does not have ANY typical Flair of Lempicka.

This is very nice. The original LL with an extra dose of vanilla and tonka. Extremely feminine and sensual. It is very intense in the first 30 minutes and a soft skin scent afterwards. Some members have said it reminds them of hypnotic poison, I can see a little bit of that but on my skin this is mostly OG LL with extra vanilla. Lovely scent.

Fan of LL and just received this one from France. An Elixir evokes depth and a powerful fragrance, that is the case. Very much Tonka & Woods oriented, and certainly balsamic. Reminds me of Le Parfum. This sets a bit apart from the original LL and Midnight flankers. Different, and not of my taste. Just sold that bottle.

Wow, this smells like original LL and Dior Hypnotic Poison mixed together. I blind bought it, sprayed, and wasn't sure do I like it, the opening is very chemical. After a couple of minutes I got Dior HP, so a lot of almond, playdough, sweetness. Then the Lolita DNA starts to come through. Again, wow.

Very soft version of the original. Its comforting and fluffy but so far not that strong. Will wear it a lot since it creates a soothing scent bubble.❤️

It has some salty spicy note which I don't like, if they changed it into a cherry, I think that would smell amazing.

This smells like vanilla a smidge off Appel and alot off play doh. Cosy subtle snuggel scent. Very nice

Just for the bottle, shut up and take my money already!
