Minuit D'Or (Eau de Minuit 2015)

So beautiful and magical, fairy-like, eldritch in fact, with amber and that delicate green licorice pixie sweat. I had listed this on eBay during a bout of decluttering; when it finally sold for a low price after months for sale, my heart sank, remembering this otherworldly scent. Nothing else is like it (except Lolita Minuit flankers from different years, which I also have - they are similar but not all the same). Softer licorice than the original, with amber and a sweet floral jasmine in the dry down. The jasmine smells like plants that bloom at night. To wear this is to walk in a moonlit wilderness with no artificial light, shimmering, iridescent. However, within a few minutes eBay told me the buyer's payment did not go through. I took that as a second chance and immediately ended the listing, placing the bottle in the front of my collection. How did I ever overlook or forget about this elixir? Where I live it is hot and humid ten months of the year. Licorice laden scents like this work ONLY in the cold or in crisp cool weather. So many steamy summers smeared the memory of the icy, crystalline boreal beauty that is Midnight of Gold. Smells like the crunch of snow and leaves and flowers. You nearly flew away, my perfect midnight golden apple. The purple and tan/gold of your box recall the wings of the jelly moth, polyphemus sphingis. The scent must be how moth scales smell to other moths. Powdery, sifted with pollen and flower juice, dark, alive. The pheromone that pulls purple spotted polyphemus for his four short dusty days.

This is my favorite lolita so far. I love this one and think it's even better than the original. I like dark,deep, resinous,smoky scents. This has a load of benzoins and myrrh, light on the licorice. I don't smell any jasmine. The iris is dark and slightly powdery, and i smell green ivy though it's not listed in the notes, definatly green notes. It's georgeous, long lasting with great sillage. Im in love and will be buying a back up bottle

Today arrived this fancy Lolita bottle/perfume. I thought it will be different than the other Lolitas, to my nose smells like fresher Fleur defendue with the regular LL edt. Fleur defendue is more creamy and sweeter, but this Minuit d'or feels like a shampoo or hair conditioner. I feel strong violet instead of licorice with some fresh notes. I'm disappointed, on my skin is very solid and faint, too lightish, innocent and average for my taste, unfortunately I can't feel any dark or smokey notes. I don't find this too sweet or gourmand, can be wear all year like an everyday fragrance. If you don't know the other Lolitas, you can consider this great stuff, but I smelled other 3, so after these experiences I can say there is nothing new or special to my nose.

This is creamy powdery with tiny tiny resonance of dark licorice, vanilla (so characteristic of LL gourmand range) version of Illusions Noires Le Premier Parfum Eau de Minuit. The shift has moved so far from gourmand, It's more powdery then gourmand which makes it safe for office wear. I miss the dark bits though. The licorice and vanilla tries to get through powdery iris but it's too clean. The longevity was reasonable.

I agree with petravesna, this fragrance is more creamy than gourmand. I would love more kick to it personally, too safe for my liking. Nice
